  1. Astounding find! The debate is alive. Who is better Kyle Orton or Trent Edwards?
  2. So you are thinking that one of these sneaky type teams snuck in a dirty urine sample and made Raji pop on the NFL administered test? Perhaps it's much simpler than that. I could see Raji and Ralph Wilson cruising around in Ralph's Taurus, blazing up. Ralph's medicinal weed gets Raji to pop and now it's on.
  3. Kyle Orton passed for 18 Tds last year in CHICAGO. Trent Edwards has 18 career Tds. We are comparing the wrong Qbs in this thread.
  4. I think this a start. I would also throw in his touchdowns and yards. You really need a pretty sweet resume to be recognized by your peers, coachs, and fans as the second best QB in the AFC last year. It's a nice accomplishment for a guy in his second full season of starting. Carson Palmer is usually considered a franchise quarterback and he is 0-1 in the playoffs. What a winner!
  5. If they didn't want to give him more than 2 million for a one year contract, I would guess it was for good reason. Nobody knows about Crowell like they do. I doubt they brought him in for no reason but I also don't think either side wanted eachother. The Bills probably wanted him if it was a dirt cheap deal and he probably wanted to try and up his value. Maybe Crowell took the Bills offer right back to Tampa and said this is what I cost.
  6. He visited two teams and generated almost zero interest in FA. Why are you so suprised he only got 2 million?
  7. Kyle Orton is a decent QB. He will do okay in Denver.
  8. I'd rather have Orton than Edwards.
  9. To help drive up his price.
  10. I don't really like Cutler but i feel like he is grossly underrated by a few here. Not really a big deal but it's bizarre that people can't recognize him as fairly accomplished for a three year Qb. FWIW, I think he can be grossly overrated by the media and get ready for more of that.
  11. I'd take a chance on him to. His other footage is impressive and he is versatile. Do you see him as DE or DT for us? or both?
  12. I agree, if you can't jump out of a pool, you shouldn't bother.
  13. Success isn't measured in one season. The Bears are a much better team then the Broncos and he will be provided with targets in time. Greg Olsen and Matt Forte are nice compliments to the offense, already. Devin Hester is also getting better at WR. Is it a stretch to think that they could find help in the draft still? Besides their are FA WRs available and more to come in time. It is much easier to find weapons than it is to find a proven probowl QB. Who was our last probowl QB? Denver has just joined the ranks of irrelevant. Nice move!
  14. I watched the video and officially i am calling him a bust. Actually as far as highlite videos go that was one of the weakest ones i've ever seen. I'm not going to say the guy can't play but what a poor sample of plays. He was late with pressure a couple of times, got a coverage sack, took a couple of bad angles at the qb, got another sack when the guard failed to pick him up, and missed a tackle. He might be a fine player but I don't think he fits our needs (passrusher). The bust thing, was just a joke.
  15. Yawn. Still trying to convince everyone Cutlers no good? Now that he is out of the AFC, I hope the kid explodes so the majority can laugh at the foolish few. Is it out of the question the Bears could find offensive help out of the first round? Someday we will all laugh at you and Mcdaniels.
  16. I suspect that Peters doesn't have enough suitors for this strategy to pay off. If their are only a few teams interested in Peters, an anouncement like that would only trap the Bills. Right now the possibility of us retaining him, works in our favor.
  17. No I agree, he might be a bad fit with us. It's too bad. I'm curious to see what he popped for. It's probably marijuana and he'll get drafted before us anyway.
  18. I hate you Magox. Why must you toy with my sanity?
  19. I like Mathews and I have no clue what I'm talking about. As strange as it sounds Cushing makes me think steroids and overly muscular. He doesn't seem overly athletic to me either. I just get the feeling he will be hurt alot and never reach his potential. He is also going to cost a higher pick than Mathews. I think Mathews is a more natural athlete who developed into his body later than most. He comes to the table with a hardworking mentality and has earned everything he's been given. I know we aren't allowed to like high motor guys anymore but I could be talked into this kid. He was a walk on at USC!
  20. 1. LMAO! Your idea of alot of people in the league are Jake Plummer and a Denver Post columnist? If you read the article Plummer is calling Cutler a "helluva player". He was talking skill set and the idea of a Qb in his prime swtiching teams. The article also sounds like sour grapes against Shanahan. Jake has never had a problem throwing somebody under the bus. The Denver article is just comparing the Cutler/Denver situation to when George got traded. You can twist it into Cutler = Jeff George 2.0 if you want. 2. I find it hard to believe KC Joyner has any idea what happens on every passing play in every game. For example what if the reciever runs the wrong route, what if your defense has given up 40 something points and you are playing catch up in the fourth quarter, what if Cutler has been given instruction to take a shot on a certain play, and what if KC just doesn't know every teams playbook? Worthless stat. 3. I agree he has a good chance into developing into a very good QB. I don't think at this point you can call him great but I can't think of many three year QBs you can. He has been good enough to be selected into the probowl by his peers, coachs, and fans. To me that is worth more than stats. Besides when I point at his gaudy production numbers, you'll just say they don't count.
  21. 1. Link? I'd like to see who in the NFL is coming out and saying he is Jeff George 2.0 2. I'd like to see what goes into forming a bad decision percentage. It's got to be tough, with all the possible variables involved with any given play. 3. I'm glad you have talked to all sorts of people who agree with you. Solid Evidence! Let all the GMs who are working overtime right now, know that you have confirmed with friends, Cutler sucks. 4. ESPN is generating as much interest in the Cutler situation as possible. Watch the 24 hour ESPN Cutler watch and you will find all sorts of opinions.
  22. Great point. He is a high risk for suspension, IMO. Possibilities 1. He thinks he's above the rules and said screw it (precursor to other problems) 2. He can't resist the temptation and influence of others (stronger than his value of self preservation) 3. He's to stupid to understand the ramifications, rules, or testing schedule (very disturbing and dangerous) All of these possibilities aren't fixed when a kid gets handed millions of dollars. I'd still take him on the Bills in a heartbeat, let Russ and Dick worry about that.
  23. Thanks. I still want him on the Bills and I would find it in my heart to forgive him rather quickly. Until then, what a douchebag.
  24. I disagree. For the record I could care less if a player smokes weed or not. I do however think it says alot about somebody who can't follow the rules for a few months, knowing full well your going to be tested numerous times. By following the rules, I mean all you have to do is put the blunts away for a couple months/weeks and your fine. What kind of clueless freaking moron is going to take the chance of losing millions. Seriously, if it only costs him 3-4 spots in the draft it's worth millions. What a douche-bag.
