Dwight is a great player but you are right about not being polished. His lack of offensive moves was glaring through out the postseason. Even Shaq had to develop some different shots and a few post moves. He'll get there.

It is an interesting analogy. The question I have to ask, is what percentage of Americans would be in favor of legalizing herb? 50/50? Part of the reason it isn't so aggressively pursued is because it is borderline accepted already. Like we already discussed, unless you are smoking in public, no one cares. The penalty for being caught with a little weed is minimal. I have heard many many accounts of cops just dumping the stuff out and giving a warning. Now, if smoking weed all of sudden became difficult and penalties severe, we would see some action. Someday, it will be legal but until then don't be a moron and enjoy yourself. I have no problem with employers setting rules either. The NFL is certainly within their rights to run the league how they see fit. Go do something else if you don't like it or just deal with the consequences. It all falls back to the moron rule again.

IMO, you can make a case for Bryant, James, and Wade being the best basketball player on earth. Anyone who says that it's no comparison, is being a little slanted. These guys play under different circumstances and have different games. It's impossible to pick out the absolute best player in team sports. That's not to say you aren't entitled to your opinion but it's not accurate to say no comparison.

This compassion doesn't extend far enough to reach a group who had it far worse than African Americans. Then again the Native American vote is relatively small.

That is a brutal story, Dean. Did they ever try to justify the arrest for you? WTF! At least you seem to have a winning record when it comes to illegal activity. I agree that location is everything with the smoking. You aren't likely to get arrested smoking a joint at home. If your smoking out in public, you are almost taunting the cops to do something.

I never understood the problem with this. I'm not trying to argue it, I just don't get it. What is the difference between this and an undercover cop playing the role of a hooker or drug dealer? Why is it okay to set up a speed trap in area where a high volume of motorists speed? Personally, I'm all for the cops nailing drunk drivers. I could care less if they check every vehicle that leaves a bar/club. I'll gladly give up 15-20 minutes of my time waiting at a checkpoint if they are getting people off the road who shouldn't be driving.

I had no direction in my life. I was going to a community college with only minimal interest and working a nowhere type job. I decided I wanted to do something exciting and challenging. After one trip to the recruiting station, I knew I wanted to be like that Marine recruiter. The funny thing is I will never forget his name or my Drill Instructors names for the rest of my life. In all honesty I wanted to shoot guns and blow things up as well. It was a perfect fit and I think about my experiences every single day. My enlistment in the Marine Corps. was the best time of my life, even in Iraq. I wouldn't trade any of it for the world.

Who is sitting in jail for smoking weed? If your employer makes it known that you will be drug tested and you still fail, you deserve what you get. I'm not against smoking weed but I am against those who complain about their employer following the laws that are in place. A players options are don't smoke weed, smoke weed and take your chances, or go work somewhere else that doesn't test. I'd rather have players who didn't role the dice.

Vick hands down. I believe the punishment for the other two should have been more severe than Vicks but Ron Mexico is the bigger sack of dung. He knowingly comitted his violent crimes and did it repeatedly. The sick thing is he did what he did to these dogs for no reason, other than showing off and hurting something. The other two made a mistake that most here could have made at some point of their life. They deserve what they got and more but I can't honestly say that either one of them are a POS. It would make me a hypocrite if I did. Although, Little did something else to make his situation worse I think.
