  1. Thanks for clarifying that this isn't the first murder in Chicago. When was the last time you saw a video of teenagers beating another teenager to death? It's shocking to see and I thought it was more discussion worthy than just stats.
  2. I don't think the Bills have any more or less injuries than other teams. I think the problem is in the depth. IMO, lack of depth is right up there with our biggest problems over the years.
  3. Someone always has to trivialize a thread. The murder was three teenagers beating another teenager to death in front of a crowd of people. It was also captured on tape. If you didn't think much of it why read the thread? I would assume the topic description was clear enough, even for you.
  4. He had 9 years to prove your analogy. He has never been more than a serviceable backup.
  5. I agree with your analogy DrDankenstein and I guess rock bottom was a bit dramatic. I like to think we have come a long way since then, but I continue to get proven wrong.
  6. Ralph never made it to the airport so we are stuck with Dick until the end of the season.
  7. http://news.aol.com/article/derrion-albert...ptured%2F690024 What is wrong with people? How long until we hit rock bottom? It's astonishing how many people are standing around and cheering this on. Freakin Disgusting!
  8. I would love to know if the action in the first video is SOPs. It looks to be absurdly aggressive and violent but the cops don't seem to be hiding their behavior. Are the cops above the law? Are the cops acting on instruction? Do the cops have a very valid reason for their behavior? My knee jerk reaction is that this is ridiculous and actually could have the opposite effects the cops desire.
  9. Big- Chopsticks and Heart and Soul Still the best, can't believe not mentioned Nightmare before Christmas is full of great songs- This is Halloween Biggest song from the most watched movie of all time. You don't know many people who haven't seen it, if any. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0-um0pHTAg
  10. You should find it insulting. Celebrity salaries have gotten ridiculously out of control and this is another example. Have you ever seen the show CRIBS on MTV? It's not only celebrities either. Whitner is not exactly the strongest example of what I'm talking about, but his $400,000 worth of jewelry is worth more than what 15-20 marines or soldiers make in war.
  11. I just read an article about the staggering number of bankrupt former millionares in the NFL. I have zero sympathy for these clowns. The NFL has set up a handful of programs and financial advisors for these young men. Teams also provide assistance in helping their players make sound choices. $400,000 is a disgusting amount of money for jewelry and I'm sure that doesn't cover all of it. Some here will defend these players but it should be an insult to every hardworking citizen. Athletes and performers are only the tip of the iceburg.
  12. A few more for good measure. Boogie nights- Sister Christian by Nightranger, Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfiled, and 99 Luftballoons by Nena http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IufPObNZY1Q Pulp Fiction-You Can Never Tell by Chuck Berry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLZl6R7JGCc Sandlot- Green Onions by ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACXta-oH1lU
  13. Dazed and confused is loaded with solid songs. I always think of "Slow Ride" for that movie.
  14. Good call! That's the first scene I think of with that movie.
  15. I'm looking for your favorite movie songs. They don't have to be made for the film or even be the first time used in a movie but for whatever reason you remember the movie for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBemzu1Fchk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzM4D2_uOP0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmzaBvKzrZI Color of Money Midnight Cowboy Resevoir Dogs Apocalypse Now Trainspotting
  16. You are not wrong but good luck convincing bitter fans that.
  17. Have you watched any of the second half of the first game of the season? Jay Cutler has struggled but he is on the road in his first game as a Bear. He is putting his team in position to win with a strong second half. Your boy has a tough time getting our starting offense accross mid-field.
  18. Your "near-INT" statistics are absurd. Who has measured this and how accurate could it possibly be? A "near INT" is based on opinion and opinion based stats aren't worth two schitts. Now if you want to say his INT rate is high, that would be factual. His TDs are also high, especially for a 3 year QB. The facts are that both of these numbers are inflated because of his situation. He played for a passing offense, with good weapons, and a horrific defense. Do you see how the situation might have an effect on his statistics?
  19. Michael Jordan's speech was just fine. His supposed arrogance during it, is being hyped up by detractors and those looking for a story. Is it possible to have any event today where someone in the media isn't telling us we should be offended? Am I a fan of Jordan? Not particularly considering how many times he beat my Knicks, but the guy was talking from the heart. Some of the people Wojnarowski is sticking up for are friends of Jordan. Public speaking has never been Jordan's strong suit, despite all of his experience. Poor article and depiction from a credible writer, IMO. Honestly, if you get a chance to watch it beginning to end, do it. He is very gracious and sincere.
  20. I agree Mike Tomlin is the man. He is all heart and emotion.
  21. No way TE's QB problems have anything to do with the offense's complete ineptitude right Dog. Now that Turk is gone, Trent should tear it up right?
  22. Martz is cancer. His offense and our defense wouldn't mesh to well. Personally, I don't like the thought of Trent or Ryan slinging it around every down, especially in Buffalo's wind. While Van Pelt is not a real exciting pick, he seems to be well liked by the players and is familiar with the offense and its personel. Every great coach got a break somewhere, who knows.
  23. I agree on the idea of starting to look at some available young QBs. If Trent continues to decline, we are going to be looking to draft one next year. Why not look at a few now? Chase Daniels supposedly looked good in spots during training camp. I wouldn't mind a look at him either.
  24. I agree that the o-line is young and going to have growing pains. The biggest reason we are not going to see the playoffs for our eleventh straight season is QB. This team hasn't had a CONSISTENTLY good QB since Kelly. The Bills need to invest 100 percent of their efforts into finding a QB. If that means drafting a couple guys next year, do it. I'm sick of the Bills pinning all their hopes on one guy. IMO, the Bills should grab one of the top guys in the draft next year and another one later. Why didn't we get one this past draft? These late round QBs are like lottery tickets. Take a shot every year.
  25. ...but he's a winner!
