  1. The only two people in the world who think Leach is a better coach than Carroll, are Leach and the senator. The guy might be an intriguing college coach but his success can be measured equally to many of his peers. Pete Carroll is one of a few premiere college coachs of the decade and shows no signs of slowing down. Plenty of college powerhouses fall apart or are inconsistent, this is what makes Urban Meyer and Carroll unique. Mike Leach will be recycled a couple of times and have his ups and downs. His gimmicky offense will be the focal point to his success and his struggles. It would crash and burn in the NFL without a complete overhaul.
  2. Absolutely. Keith Ellison has improved. I can't honestly say that about Poz, Whitner, and Mitchell. Personally, I have no use for Mitchell. I think it's almost a crime he gets paid to play the game. As for Whitner and Poz? They aren't worth much more than Ellison at this point. Put aside where everybody was drafted and what jerseys you may own. All three of these guys aren't difference makers, all three can get dominated, and all three have physical limitations. Our defense is filled with solid complimentary player and no true studs. In the NFL solid complimentary players make a huge difference but thats assuming you can draft or pay for a few studs.
  3. I looked over the"loser" list again, and it includes some nice players in the top 15. London Fletcher Kirk Morrison Barrett Ruud Curtis Lofton David Harris D'Qwell Jackson Pat Willis Brian Cushing Keith Bulluck EJ Henderson Ray Lewis Demico Ryans These guys are all good LBs and quite a few probowlers as well.
  4. This stat is meaningless because you haven't heard of Kirk Morrison and Barrett Ruud? How about Curtis Lofton? These are some of the best young LBs in football. They play on defenses that are on the field all of the time, just like the Bills. Keith Ellison is unfairly ripped up on this board. He is more productive than Poz "the annointed one", and is twice as durable. He's never going to be a major force but he is reliable.
  5. Not this year he won't. Unless one of our starters gets hurt he won't see any significant action. With a decent amount of playing time in his rookie season, Hardy showed he wasn't close to being ready. His obvious height advantage and straight line speed were negated by poor body control, poor route running, lack of quickness, lack of awareness, lack of strength, and an overall lack of aggressiveness. It would have been difficult for Hardy to overcome all of these faults in year 2 of his career. Given the fact that his injury has forced him to miss the most important parts of his second season, his timetable gets pushed back even further. I don't believe that all of these factors can be overcome.
  6. Kane from poltergeist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OaG9bvSJBI
  7. Desean Jackson is a playmaker. James Hardy is a bust. I don't give a crap how good the talent around Desean Jackson is. The kid is just electric. I don't need to look at his stats. Watch an Eagles game and you will see it immediately. James Hardy stands out because he runs like Frankenstein in quicksand. Sorry to all you "wait and see" guys but this duckling isn't turning into Eric Moulds.
  8. I just wanted to say thanks for all of the suggestions! Even the ones that had my future wife in their bed. I knew this was the place to come with this question and I was right.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions. We have already started researching some of them and have an appointment with a travel agent in a couple weeks, to start getting prices. It should be a nice reward for making it through this whole wedding process.
  10. My fiance and I are looking to set up a honeymoon and we are searching for others thoughts. The wedding is scheduled for October next year and we are planning on going on the honeymoon immediately after. I'm open to any advice, as I know some of our members are very well traveled. We are looking for something that offers activities and adventure. We like water stuff, hiking, challenging activities, and really anything that gets the blood pumping. We aren't locked into tropical either. We have already both discussed cabin kind of stuff in Alaska, Colorado, or Washington. The Grand Canyon was an option discussed, neither of us have ever been there. We have also thought a Carribean experience would be fun. I know this is vague but we are overwhelmed with choices. Things we don't like: -she gets seasick so no cruise (although I'm not sure she would feel it on a cruise ship) She's okay on short boating trips -we don't ski -we would prefer the comforts of having our own cabin or bungalow in comparison to a hotel. Unless a resort is unique in it's setup. Thanks in advance! I appreciate anything you want to share.
  11. The offensive line has been shaky at times this year. I think they are most shaky in fourth quarters where the Bills are behind and defenses can pin their ears back. I don't feel TE is under anymore pressure than half the teams in the league. TE holds the ball to long and doesn't move well in the pocket. Unless the play is designed for TE to move outside the hashes he can't make plays. Even then he holds it forever. I just don't see him making plays with or without immediate pressure. Unfortunately, Edwards has many of the same traits as JP and most QBs who wash out of the NFL.
  12. That is magnificent. I got the shaft in life.
  13. Trent Edwards has never consistently played well, college or pros. Trent Edwards has had two concussions in the last two seasons. Trent Edwards has played up and mostly down since the Arizona concussion. Trent Edwards has always played up and mostly down in the NFL. Trent Edwards was never an NFL starting QB and if some want to remember him as the guy that never panned out because of concussions, thats cool. I'm just not buying it. I think most of us agree its time to find another option.
  14. I think Rex Ryan is a quality football guy but that doesn't mean he is going to make it as the top guy. I kind of think the coaching staff for the Jets, lost the game for them. Why did they continue to pass with a struggling rookie Qb? They were gashing us up with the run and we weren't much of a threat offensively. The teams that play it close to the vest and pound the ball on us are going to have success. Our offense shoots itself in the foot one way or another and never gives our defense time to rest. The fact that the Bills created so many turnovers in the secondary is proof of a coaching oversight IMO.
  15. They certainly struggle against the run but this number is tilted a little. First, our defense is always on the field and this will hurt any unit. Second, the correct formula to beat our beloved Bills is Jauron's specialty. Play conservative and only take select shots down the field. Our offense poses very little threat and will eventually shoot itself in the foot via field position problems, penalties, or turnovers. If Rex Ryan continued to just grind it, we would have lost IMO. Instead he got a little to cute with a rookie Qb and served up our talented secondary. Make no mistake about it, our secondary is talented. As well it should be, considering the draft day attention it has recieved.
  16. I can think of 31 other NFL helmets I'd like to see him in.
  17. Merriman would be a move made by a team that is close to winning. This team can't afford to give up a single draft pick IMO. we should actually be looking to trade our expendable players for more picks.
  18. Mike Leach runs a college style offense. Leave it in college and out of the NFL. Steve Spurrier learned the hard way. I can't imagine what kind of horrific effects that system would yield with our personnel and in Buffalo weather. I hate our QB situation and would love nothing more than to find a good one. This team needs to continue to focus on the lines though. Unless, our scouting department thinks a can't miss guy is out there, continue to build the lines. We have the RBs and a start on the o-line. I want a 3-4 attacking defense and solid running game. Bring in a vet and a 2-3 round rookie Qb to compete.
  19. All of you Trent apologists are the same. It seems he has had a raw deal since high-school. You know the last time he did anything but lose consistently.
  20. The five teams that belong in the poll are the Rams, Chiefs, Raiders, Lions, and Bills. IMO, these are the five franchises that have embarassed themselves the most as of late. The Bucs, Titans, and Redskins are not lighting the league up right now but they deserve more patience than the other group, IMO.
  21. Do you have any idea how much new uniforms would cost?
  22. Excellent comparison. The difference between the two is that Rush's comments are fabricated and JayZ can say whatever he wants publicly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFbWjG5_48E Now I'm not offended by what JayZ said and I don't think it should stop him from purchasing the Knicks but the double standard couldn't be more evident.
  23. I think the NFL is at it's best right now. I think some of the positions the NFL puts its officials in is unfair. It's unfortunate that a game can come down to an officials opinion of a play, especially when some rules are such a grey area. As for the entertainment, its unmatched. The NFL consumes most of my thoughts these days. As for the toughness of the league? I don't understand what people are looking for. Players are bigger, stronger, and faster than ever. Some of these old-timers who crack on the league's toughness are way off base IMO. What will make some fans satisfied? Death on the field?
  24. I know a guy who took a dump in someone's coffee pot, and let it brew all day. That's a pretty solid move for alot of situations. Another idea is an "upper decker". You drop another dump in the top tank of Singapore's toilet and let him enjoy the aroma of your gift every time he flushes. He wouldn't figure it out forever. If these ideas don't seem like you, then I suggest you stand up for yourself. You need to be loud and aggressive. If this 6 year senior whips your ass, he whips your ass. An ass whipping is much better then accepting disrespectful behavior.
