Everybody has made good points. I go back and forth on the case quite a bit. In the end every person involved had a chance to change the outcome.

Bowl Games Start Saturday Dec 19!
PushthePile replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Awesome guide! I'm watching the Rutgers vs UCF game and I have been keying in on OT Anthony Davis. Thanks for the insight. By the way Davis looks good. He looks especially good pulling and blocking on the move. -
Very good point. IMO the whole thing shouldn't have happened and that means all the way back to the Cervini family. It is sad all around.
-
Yup I remeber that game, it was in 1996.

I agree to a certain degree. I just have trouble getting past a few points: 1. The shooting took place across the street from Scott's house. 2. The criminal was an unarmed teenager who was breaking into cars. 3. The shooter shot the said teenager in the back. It just doesn't sound like self defense.

Bell will not be the starting LT next year.

I've gone back and forth about this case. Has anyone been following it? http://www.13wham.com/news/local/story/Rod...LhEttfoklg.cspx In the end I think it was unjustified and murder.

Has anyone sent a resume' to the Bills?
PushthePile replied to Chalkie Gerzowski's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure did. I figure my coaching record is better than Haslett's and I've never been in a Taurus. I don't need a GM. -

I think people were just giving you a hard time. Buffalo as a whole has had an above average amount of alcohol related instances over the years. I've been to quite a few college/pro stadiums and I have to say the Ralph is in the running for the most drunk and lewd. As a 30 year old who goes with friends, I enjoy the **** show. I can see how some might be turned off to it though. HBO's Real Sports did a special on drinking at NFL games. For once Buffalo found itself in the forefront of national exposure. Here's another article chronicling some of the Ralph charm http://www.opinionjournal.com/la/?id=110010740 Like I said, it doesn't make my experience any different but I'm not going to pretend it's not present. -

Are injuries a result of poor play?
PushthePile replied to SpecialK15's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The no hitting in practice is a possibility but I still don't get the elements theory. The Bills haven't even seen a game yet this year that would be anything more than slightly chilly. They could have practiced outside all year and I don't see it making any difference on the injury report. -
Warren Dunn now a minority owner of Falcons
PushthePile replied to bananathumb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Warrick Dunn story is something that every fan should know. Unfortunately the NFL and media seem to ignore things like this. The blame for image issues the NFL has can go in alot of different directions. -
I understand that Maybin shouldn't be written off yet. The concern doesn't stem from stats only though. Watching him get physically dominated is more troubling than no sacks IMO. I see flashes of the speed at times but it doesn't overcome the lack of strength and technique. I look at Maybin like I look at Hardy. They both have an attribute that this FO fell in love with. The problem is that the rest of the package is a complete project. I'm down on both of these guys and would love to be proven wrong but I fear they are going to end up in the bust category.

Mario Williams is 6-6 300 pounds. He had 4.5 sacks, 47 tackles, 3 pass deflections, and a forced fumble his rookie year. Aaron Maybin is 6-4 230-250 pounds. He has 14 tackles this season. Granted Maybin hasn't played much this season but it's not like the team is loaded at OLB or DE this year. The amount of reps he sees is as telling as the way he looks on the field. Ryan Denney has a couple of sacks and 22 tackles at least. http://www.aaronmaybin.com/ Is this a DE you have to gameplan around?
-
It doesn't have to be one or the other. I fully expect both lines to be the focus of the offseason but other positions will be looked at as well. The Chargers have Vincent Jackson and Malcolm Floyd becoming free agents this offseason. The Bills could float a reasonable offer to Floyd and not lose ground at wideout.
-
I call Josh Reed a mediocre slot receiver, he has proved in the past that he is not a number 2. It's a recipe for disaster if you plan on going into a season with just Johnson and Hardy. The idea is to get better, not patch a hole here and create a new one there. Perhaps, one of these two young receivers work out. It's also entirely possible they don't as well. A mid-level veteran is a must IMO. Lee Evans is a nice player but he is already a weak number 1. We are also assuming no one gets hurt. What if evans pulls a hamstring? The starting situation would be Johnson, Hardy, and Reed.
-
Steve Johnson has 15 career receptions and TO is a HOF player. I hope your right but it would be shortsighted to expect that and go into the season without another veteran WR.
-
Okay, you stick with Hardly and Johnson as your number two and see what you get. I agree that lines are the priority but WR is certainly not a strength. We have the cap room to get a veteran WR that wouldn't be at the expense of anything else. WR is not going to be a strong position next year.
-
Shanahan is 15-17 over his last two seasons in Denver. I'd say he is a hot commodity still, and you are remembering wrong about Donahoe. Bills fans thought that the hiring marked the end of being a second rate franchise.

Nicely played -
The team should bring in a veteran WR if it doesn't plan on signing TO. Hardy and Johnson can't be penciled in as starters yet and Reed is strictly a slot guy.

The common sense and courtesy is by far the norm. Everyone is there to have a good time and most have respect for others. The best part of tailgating IMO, is walking around and hanging out with different fans. I prefer football pre-games at mine but I might like the music scene at yours. MY MOST COMMON COMPLAINT: (never been hit but see it all the time) I love to toss a football around while tailgating but watch where your throwing it. I hate seeing footballs bouncing off of other people's faces, quarter panels, and grills. Most people don't come anywhere near hitting somebody but there is always a couple idiots. It's usually two drunk goofs that throw the ugliest ball and are trying to hook up on a 40 yard streak. It never fails either. The two clowns come dangerously close a dozen times before something gets clipped. So if you throw a 20 yard duck 9 out of 10 times....... don't throw it over the heads of 3 tailgate parties. -

I'm not a fan of music at a tailgate either. Pre-game shows or nothing IMO. -

Refusal to practice in the elements caused some of our injuries?
