  1. We have a winner! Thanks Matt, I knew if something like this was said it could be found. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football...ichicks_-2.html
  2. Not calling you or Promo a liar but IMO if Belichick said something to this nature at a press conference, it could be found. I did a quick 15 minute search and all I could come up with is a list of different sources that showed the opposite. In fact alot of different quotes from Belichick praising Schobel and complimenting him. It just seems like an odd statement from any head coach.
  3. Hahaha, only positive reviews! I'm not a huge reader but I'm certainly interested when I get hooked on an author. I read "Slaughterhouse Five" in highschool but got nothing out of it. Of course I didn't get much out of anything in highschool. Not knowing much about Vonnegut, any suggestions on where to start?
  4. I picked up a book of his last year and haven't stopped reading his stuff since. I have two more to go and I'll be stuck waiting after that. Anybody read his work? I have never had an author that I enjoyed reading more. It's definately not for everybody but I think the guy is brilliant. If you enjoy a sarcastic and unabashed view of society, I'd give him a try. Warning though, his stuff can get fairly graphic and off color. He wrote the book "Fight Club" which most know from the movie. My personal favorite is "Haunted". This is his site if anyone is interested: http://chuckpalahniuk.net/books Any other fans here? I'll be running out of Palahniuk books soon and need some suggestions if anybody has any. Another decent author like Palahniuk is Tim Dorsey. He writes in a similar style but a little less brutal.
  5. Link? Schobel has sacked Brady more than any other player.
  6. +1 Exactly what I was thinking Thurman.
  7. This is not entirely true. It's not like TE carried the team over that stretch of games. He did enough to allow the team to win but in reality he was the same player. Alot of posters had their doubts about him, even during those "glory games".
  8. Yup, he's terrible at times. The Vikes are arguably the most talented team in the league but have gotten hosed 2 out of the last 3 weeks. Mix that in with miracle Favre wins against the Packers, Ravens, and 49ers. This team would be gripping a little bit if they hadn't pulled off two of those. They have the Bears this week and need to get back on track. If they struggle at all, you have to wonder if they are real contenders. To WEO's point, yes he is a moron. You would expect this type of team distraction from an immature player but not a head coach. Way to go Brad, you just created a little chaos as your team is starting to limp into the playoffs. Why isn't Peterson being used properly? Behind that line, that guy needs to be almost unstoppable. The Vikes have been caught up in the magic of Brett a little too much and now they have to try and get that ground game going with two games left. Favre is starting to come back down to earth as well.
  9. I always thought it was named after vomit. .....it loses it's luster now that I know it's named after Wilson.
  10. It was a mental lapse and all players are capable of having them. The problem is it came from a highly touted 1st rounder who has been invisible up to this point. If it was almost anybody else on the team it would be a footnote. I'm more concerned with Maybin not showing any signs of being able to do some of the things we drafted him for. Even just one explosive play would do wonders for my confidence in him.
  11. Nice find and thanks for sharing. I ended up watching all five and was really intrigued by this man.
  12. We can't have Hamdan telling our offensive secrets to other NFL teams.
  13. I've been down on him this season but he has played well the last few weeks. I still don't think he's physical enough to be a force at MLB. Time will tell I guess. Many think that moving him outside and picking Mclain would be a significant upgrade to both spots. That's something I would be in favor of as well.
  14. Tavaris would be a decent option but he I think you are right, he's not going anywhere. The same can be said for Garrard, he's not going anywhere either. It's a terrible time to look for QBs. I look foward to hear what everybody wants the team to do. Aside from the unrealistic trade nonsense, I haven't heard any ideas that are soundly better than Campbell. The team is in a bad situation.
  15. It would be an easy decision if he wasn't going to be 40 years old going into camp. I'm all for bringing in a group of QBs and taking a look. A 40 year old QB who has made a career out of being moblie is far from a sure thing. Just like anybody else we draft or get in FA. Bring in Garcia and anybody else that has a shot at competing. Thank you for at least giving another option. I don't think most of these posters realize how bare the cabinet is. This the only reason I'd be on board with Campbell or Garcia. Obviously they stink but I'm not choosing them over filet mignon for christs sake. Other options have to be explored and if you think we are going to land a proven starting QB somehow, you got your head in your arse.
  16. Shocking. Who would you go after in FA?
  17. I'd give Tavaris Jackson a shot too. .....again not many options.
  18. I'm on board with it. Obviously, he'd be given the chance to win a the short term QB position and not handed the starting spot. Alot of naysayers in the thread but not one of them has come up with a better option. The best we can hope for going into camp is something like this Brohm Campbell Fitzpatrick Pike or another rookie QB who we didn't burn a first rounder on Sorry Bills fans, not alot of options.
  19. I thought she had a fairly decent resume for a 32 year old. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005261/ Especially when you mix in her T.V. stuff.
  20. I thought she was good in Sin City. She has played a few different roles but the last handful of years have been kind of weak. She was good in Girl Interrupted too. Most people know her from 8 mile and Clueless though.
  21. I'd like Campbell but not with long term expectations.
  22. That was simply unbelievable. I think Zorn just said screw it.
  23. I think it's a fair deal too. As much as I think he's done here, TE will be likely to get a shot somewhere else. I'd be happy to give you a little green if your right. Good luck buddy.
