  1. That's a very valid opinion but surely you don't want to pin your hopes to that rookie, right? I think it would only logical to have a FA come in and start in front of the rookie or be there if said rookie struggles. TE and Fitz have proven to be backups in this league and rookies are always a crapshoot. The FA crop is weak but the issue still has to be addressed.
  2. ........we are all eagerly waiting for your QB suggestion. You take easy potshots at others whenever you can, so you must have all the answers. Who would you like to be the QB next season Promo?
  3. Paper targets or not, wouldn't you want to shoot something with a little more punch? IDK, I think some of the other choices are more unique and enjoyable.
  4. Nah, weak. (they certainly don't call it a saw for it's stopping power)
  5. Fez, that list has a few more you recognize. How about the Tommie gun or Uzi? I'd definately go for the Tommie gun first and then maybe the AK47. I've fired an AK47 alot of times and it's always fun. Sounds pretty cool, enjoy!
  6. If the price was right, I'd be a big fan of going after Troy Smith.
  7. IMO, the timing of this announcement creates a hole in your conspiracy theory.
  8. The Bills are 40-25 in games where the QB throws for 300 yards.
  9. You got it right Thoner. I got it mixed up in my post.
  10. Miscommunication Dan. I was trying to say that if members of this board have thought of the possibility, I'm sure the Bills coaching staff has too. Maybin has been being discussed at OLB since he was in college.
  11. 1. Orakpo is actually playing alot of DE. He recorded two sacks with his hand on the ground last week. He's versatile though, and recorded two more from the LB position as well. 2. I wouldn't say the Bills coaching staff overlooked the possibility of Maybin playing OLB. The notion has been brought up at least a 1000 times on this board. I'm sure they are aware of the option. 3. The fact that he hasn't seen significant time should speak volumes about where he's at.
  12. Why? If the team has a chance to get a decent Qb on the first day of FA, do you suggest they pass? This team should be able to address more than one position before next season.
  13. No mocking or ridicule, I just disagree with your logic.
  14. I never understand this argument. So by saying you are against Vick and what he did, you are automatically putting animal rights above human rights? Why can't I be for both? What the hell does Iraq/Afghanistan have to do with whether Vick would be a good fit for Buffalo? The sex trade and worlwide poverty? I don't get this sort of deflection off the topic of the thread. It always happens in the defense of somebody's poor choices. If you want to gauge the importance of issues fine, start a thread about the war or poverty. As of right now it has no merit in this discussion.
  15. I agree, there is no way Hardy runs better routes then Alpha's buddies.
  16. Witnessing a murder is obviously the same as funding and operating a dog fighting ring over a span of 5 years.
  17. I'll definately pick up a couple Vonnegut books. Obviously, his popularity stems from something. As for Palahniuk and"Diary", I recommend trying another one out. I think "Diary" was my least favorite of his work and the weakest storyline.
  18. He did kill dogs though. In fact he electrocuted dogs, hung dogs, drown dogs, and smashed them to death off of asphalt. I like how people overlook his other favorite activities as well. Like knowingly passing along his gift of herpes to women while using an alias to mask his nastiness. His vehicles have been used for drug trafficking and his crew has been involved in a number of assault charges. Vick has been present for alot of these instances as well, so lets not pretend he was unaware. When people say they don't want him here it's for good reason. It has nothing to do with race either, but nice try. This board would be in full meltdown mode if Mcnabb was coming here. The truth is Vick was not half the player some people believe he was. So if you have chosen to forgive him, it still might not make sense. If it were the same circumstances for a HOF QB like Manning or Brady, the risk might be worth the reward. The same can be said for Mcnabb if that example comforts you more. QB ratings: Losman-75.6 Vick-75.9 Favre-86.3 Mcnabb-86.5 Brady-93 Manning-95.3 The QB ratings aren't everything but it's a good start in comparing.
  19. I'm not sure how that team would do if they all played together.
  20. He hasn't lost everyhting. Vick will live a more lavish life than you or I will ever know. Most people don't feel bad for him because he has gone through life having no regard for anything or anyone. Even now he makes himself out to be a martyr. The guy is a piece of garbage who is allowed to do what he wants because we are the all forgiving society.
  21. Okay I'm wrong. It persists because myself and others have never heard it before. Thanks for debunking it.
  22. No problem. I didn't buy it at all, so it shows what I know.
