  1. I agree. Fisher gets the most out of his team year in year out.
  2. Very interesting read. As a Bills fan, I just want the right guy for the job. If I haven't heard of him, so be it. I'd love to see the response to Morningweig though!
  3. 1. Tom Coughlin is still safe IMO. A superbowl ring can buy a coach or QB alot of room. If he was to become available, I wouldn't really want him either. He is going to be 64 and seems tired to me. I just can't see a 64 year old Coughlin warming up to a full rebuild project in Buffalo. I think this NY run has taken it's toll. 2. Jeff Fisher is as safe as you get in the NFL. I'd be completely shocked if he was let go. Stranger things have happened though. I had a feeling about Shanny in Denver and got laughed at by friends. I'd certainly give credit on the prediction if it happened.
  4. Looks great from the CBS studio.
  5. I liked it better when Mangini wasn't available. Nah, no chance right?
  6. Willie McGinest always seemed like a nice guy.
  7. You have alot of stones calling others out for pushing their beliefs. Any chance you get to take a shot at someones faith, you take it. You also think it's okay to call others stupid because they believe in something you don't. I find your brand of hatred far more insulting than a college kid putting a bible passage in his eye black. I'm not a Christian either but I'm not ignorant enough to tell others what they shouldn't believe. In your mind it's only okay to spread ideas as long as they suit your beliefs. ...... as a non-believer, I have always found the loud mouth athiest far more annoying and ignorant.
  8. Fair enough. I like the kid though, and am rooting for him to build a case, heading towards the draft.
  9. I agree with this. The kid is a natural leader and worth a look. Was he limited in PSU's style of offense?
  10. What about a backup or change of pace guy?
  11. I am not a PSU fan and have only seen this kid a handful of times but I really like his toughness. He would probably be a project at the next level but could be a decent later round gamble. Any PSU fans have an opinion on Clark? His strength is impressive and his mobility is a plus. In the games I've watched, Clark has shown very good leadership qualities as well. Again, I'm not sure how his abilities translate but I have to say I like how he plays the game. He kept his cool against LSU yesterday and really carried the team. It will be interesting to hear how he measures up leading into the draft.
  12. I happen to think that this lesson is important. The NFL wouldn't have so many boys behaving like they're above the law, if this lesson was still a priority. The kid got seperated from the team because he was acting like a head. Who cares? Leach didn't get to where he is by abusing players. You reap what you sow.
  13. Thanks for sharing BB. I liked some of things I read. - He seems committed to getting an experienced head coach. It's hard to disagree with that. The jump to head coach is severe and experience is important. The good ones learn from past failures. - Nix said some nice things about rewarding players that perform for Buffalo. This has been an issue for quite some time. Giving back to our own quality players is far more important than landing good FAs. It promotes continuity (the good kind) and it builds tradition. It also makes Buffalo a much more appealing place to play. - He addressed the Strength and Conditioning. I know many here have had big issues with this. While I am skeptical of how it would have affected this team, it should make alot of you happy. It also shows that Nix isn't pulling punches with this staff. - The emphasis on a QB coach is vital and seems obvious. It makes you wonder about what we have in place. Again, Nix doesn't seem interested in pulling punches and one would think this coaching position is critical.
  14. I always remember a loss to NE in 1998. It was in NE of course and a phantom pass interference call was made at the very end of the game. My memory is kind of sketchy so if anyone has a better read on the situation, please share. The very next play was a TD pass from Bledsoe to Ben Coates that ended the game. Those gutless ran right off the field like they knew they stole the game. This is where the hatred, really started to grow. Ben Coates used to tear us up. That guy gave me nightmares.
  15. It's by far his biggest question mark.
  16. Some great drafts in there. I'm not sure if anyone has pointed out the number of high picks spent on secondary players and skill positions. Actually not one lineman, on either side of the ball, was picked in the first round. This will eventually send a few of our high strung posters into a frenzy. ( correction DT Castillo was the second first rounder in 05) ...... waiting on Billinthebigapple
  17. Uh huh. Believe whatever brand of the truth you want. The story is never simple when it comes to pro athletes, celebrities, and politicians. The media just decided that Arenas and Crittenton would be great targets that night. I eagelry await the lawsuit. Of course an investigation is in order. The vast majority of people who witnessed this event have alot to protect. The teams star player already has a gun charge and just had to explain why he had a small arsenal in his locker. Which was another stellar "the story isn't as simple" situation. Oh and the NBA would love to cooperate with authorities especially when the notion of gambling is involved. David Stern must be loving the thought of punishing these thugs and drawing the bright lights towards the G word again.
  18. Probably right but i hope not.
  19. Totally different game but Darryl Clark is a leader. I'm not a Penn. State fan either. That kid is tough as nails and plays very under control. If he shows off a decent skill set leading up to the draft, I wouldn't mind seeing a later pick spent on him.
  20. I thought athletes only carry guns to protect themselves from the crazy public.
  21. This is really the root of your argument. You are not a doctor and have no idea whose concussion was worse. You are a Trent apologist and that's fine, but your opinions are forced. Our QB situatuion is just as putrid as our line. If you don't think that every playoff QB this year would have done better for us, than you are working with even less than "15 watts".
  22. Indy has a couple mid-level FAs starting and a LT who had 4 games of experience at the position, prior to the season. They have had trouble getting consistent play at the LT position since Tarik Glenn retired. Jeff Saturday is their longest starting o-lineman and even he is getting a little long in the tooth. The running game has been stagnant for a while as well but that is not how they are designed. The truth is that the unit pass blocks well and has definitive assignments. They are hardly the best in the NFL though. Manning is his own best friend. He knows where he is going with the ball before the play starts. Our QBs could get 2 quarters worth of time, and still be lost. We are comparing the best in the game to backups though. TE and Fitz couldn't run the Indy offense. They certainly aren't good enough to make it work behind this line. Many QBs would have done a better job though.
