Had a 2009 car and totaled it about a year ago. Had decided to run to into the ground as it was rusting out about 6 months before. Had my share of $ from the sale of mom's house so I decided d I would pay cash if I needed a new car. Had rented a car from Enterprise after the crash. They told me that they had a sales facility in Amherst. So I wemt there . Told the salesman my price range and he showed me about 5 cars. Ended up buying a 2021 Nissan Altima right in the muffle of the range. A couple of weeks afterwards, the car would start fine at home but wouldn't start when I came out of shopping. Got it jumped by nice people in the lots. Then it wouldn't even be jumped when I visited my sister's work. Luckily there was a rental facility across the street and I walked over there. Told the guy what had happened and to call the sales office. They talked to the salesman at the rental office and had him five me a rental to use while the traced down the problem. Just handed me the keys to the loaner ( no paperwork to fill out) and they got a tow truck and took it to their repair facility near th airport. Had it for 3 days, There must have been something draining the battery, Have had no problems since.

I have all my passwords saved on both Macs automatically and printed out in my file cabinet. Been using Macs since 1985 (40 years).I have owned a Mac since 1995 and on my 5th Mac computer now.

Jim Lovell, astronaut, died 8/7/25 at age 97. He flew Gemini 7 and 12 and Apollo 8 and 13. He was the oldest living astronaut. He was played by Tom Hanks in the movie Apollo 13 and appeared in it as the admiral who greets them coming out of the helicopter after they splashed down at the end of the movie.

Not a penalty call, but "FIRST DOWN!" . Worst was when Josh was way past the marker and the ref moved it back behind the marker in the KC game .

Remembered another time. Lived in CA and had just gotten off the Palo Alto side of the Dumbarton Bridge. There is a wide gradual flat curve there (by Meta/Facebook HQ). Could see far ahead. Spoitted one of those short busses on its side with the wheels still turning and the dust still in the air. I tried calling 911 but got a busy signal. There were cars pulled over and people running towards it, As I was trying to get through, I heard sirens. Figured the busy signals and the sirens were from everyone calling so I just kept on going. Never saw anything o the tV or in the paper. That was the same spot where Y. A. Tittle was killed in a motor vehicle accident several years later.

Pre 911, (1968) my mom was having a seizure. There was a separate # for each volunteer FD and it was on a sticker on the wall phone. My dad called it and before he hung up the sirens were going off. I had to call a few times for an assisted lift for my mom. when her legs gave out while I was moving her from her bed to a wheechair. I was apologizing to the firemen, but he said that's what they're there for.

I have Medicare and Medicaid. The basic lenses. My cost $0. What the cataracts cost me was a new car. Last yearI turned in front of an oncoming car and could have sworn that there was no car coming. I was headed into the sun. in the morning.

They monitor how long it takes the carrier to do routes. My sister and I I've on the ends of two routes. There is a UPC in both our mailboxes that the carrier scans when they come by. My downstairs neighbor used to work at a PO on the west side until last year. That's why it's in our box although we're not the last house.
