  1. Called his sister to ask if little Billy could come over and play later. His sister said no, and then he spent the rest of the game pouting. When asked later if that indeed was the reason for his bad play, he said he would need to watch film to be sure.
  2. This quote from the Sully piece in the news. I think sums it up. "That's the situation we're in right now," Edwards said. "We're 3-6 and we're not winning football games. The first person you got to look at is the quarterback. I'm coming back from an injury. It's tough to say right now, just in terms of not watching the film. I think he would say the same thing. So it's tough." He needs to watch the film before defending his job. That tells you a lot. Would Jim Kelly need to see the film? How different would our history be if Grant had sent word to Lincoln that he couldn't proceed until he'd seen the films? You'd like to see a little passion from your quarterback. Even Drew Bledsoe was defiant when they took his job away. Bud Adams, the 86-year-old Titans owner, flipped the bird at the Bills' sideline after the game. Is it so much to ask for Edwards to act like the fiery leader of an NFL team? What has Trent done here. No matter how bad his O-Line may be, don't you think they may, just maybe try a little harder if Trent the Great did something ? How about taking the guys out for dinner, or buying them a beer. Something, anything that says " Guys we are in this together good or bad" "Good/great players inspire those around them to play even better."
  3. For what? Getting manhandled at the point of attack ? For bouncing off the running backs ? For constantly giving up the outside ? If your going to give him his due for taking one for the team and playing out of position, then OK. But doesn't half this team play out of their natural position including Poz.
  4. But you can only have a total of 53 players on your overall active roster. So the bills would need to cut or IR someone to make room for him
  5. who's Aaron Maybin ?
  6. I remember Monday Night at home vs Dallas.
  7. Look at #3. London Fletcher. Still in the top 5 of the league. Good thing he wasn't any good around here.
  8. No, But TE did play against the Browns, How well did he play again against that very stout defense. I think their ranked as high as 31 or something.
  9. Your right, unless you want your safeties to be able to tackle and cover from time to time.
  10. The Bills are his 4th team in 6 years. Being that he has not made an impact on any NFL squad over that time, he fits right in with the current team.
  11. .....and Trent Edwards will lead us to a Superbowl.
  12. Your Right NFL.com has him 3 catches for 13 yards I guess 0 = 3 somehow
  13. Really Most of the time I see Trent, he fails to even recognize the blitz, let alone hit the hot read. I recall a play against NO where they had an overload to one side and Trent totally failed to read it. The announcer even mentioned that in order to be successful in the NFL you need to at least recognize this type of blitz. Most teams will blitz Trent on third downs, how is he again on 3rd down passing ? As far as slants, they have been called before in every game. The QB at the time chooses a different path for his throw. The fact that Fitz threw the ball further then check down zone made the Jets not crowed the short stuff. To bad he was not as accurate.
  14. You may insert the names David Carr or Joey Harrington, to name a few, for Edwards if you so choose. Notice the similarities ? Sometimes you just need to stop making excuses and face the reality of it.
  15. I'd take Rodgers over Edwards right now Rodgers has been sacked 20 times thru 4 games and has a rating of 101.1 Edwards has been sacked 18 times thru 5 games and has a rating of 71.4 Rodgers has been sacked 2 more times but has played 1 less game. So that claim that Edwards is the most sacked QB isn't accurate. I also thought the Bills were wasting their pick when they drafted him.
  16. I'd rather watch the Lions at this point
  17. It really is great to see our Offense light up the scoreboard against the 31st ranked D
  18. We have more penalties than first downs
  19. What if that is all the defense is giving him ?
  20. Trent has been in this league for three years now. If he himself can't smell/see a blitz coming and change the play, we have a problem. Of course Trent will tell you that the defense threw some things at him he wasn't prepared for. What does he do in the film room (if he actually goes). Watch Simpson reruns ? He is allowed to watch as much film as he likes, he choose to either attend only the required time or he isn't paying attention. I am so sick of the excuses, he is the face of the Bills, the franchise QB. Strive for excellence and be the leader for crying out loud. The FO has put so much faith in him, they didn't even sign a QB that could really challenge him.
  21. I agree 100% Did anyone see the 40yr Brett Favre throw that laser of a pass yesterday to win the game. Do you honestly believe that Trent could ever make that same type of play. I am not comparing the two QBs, just the play.
  22. Not True. He hasn't done it lately or very often, but he has done it. There have been four "interim" head coaches in Bills history. First, in 1968, head coach Joe Collier was fired two games into the season and replaced by Bills personnel director Harvey Johnson. Johnson did not serve as head coach the following season. Then, five games into the 1976 season, Saban unexpectedly resigned as head coach. He was replaced by Ringo, the team's offensive line coach. Ringo returned to coach the team again in the 1977 season. In October 1985, Kay Stephenson was fired and replaced by assistant head coach Hank Bullough. Just over a year later, Bullough was himself fired and replaced by Marv Levy, who had previously served as coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. Levy would then serve as Bills head coach for the next 12 seasons.
  23. If I recall, I think Captain Corpse felt that London wasn't the proper fit for his T2 defense, and wanted to get is own players. Our entire starting linebackers are different.
  24. I Don't think the Bills will keep 6 DE. Maybe 5 and I think Lankster makes the team.
