JP was treated the same way. Never said anything bad about Buffalo, the fans or the City, in fact still talks highly of his time here. So, because he is Trent he should be different ? Trent has had an excuse even while at Stanford. Bad O-line, Bad play calling, Blah-Blah-Blah. Remember last year it was the Bills didn't have a #2 receiver, now it's something else. The Bills need an upgrade on the on-line as well as the QB pos. Drafting a lineman is a good start, but no guarantees the player doesn't become another Mike Williams. WE need a long term answer at the QB position, but if there is anyone even remotely better, you need to get him. You play to win now, plan for the future. But to play a guy and worry about the pos down the line is a mistake. We need to stop playing from behind. If at the end of the day that player is Trent, well so be it, but if we can get better, ya got to go get it.

Well the Bills at one time, not so far in the past, were indeed 5-1 with Edwards as the starting QB. They also were 5-1 with Starters Whitner at SS, Kelsey at DE and Ellison at LB. The Bills were not 5-1 because of Edwards just as the Bills were not 5-4 because of Fitz.

Why ? What has he done to show that he deserves this shot. He did compete in training camp, practice right. ? What makes him so good that in 2 years he still can not run routes, block, get off the inactive list or play when he is active. Please don't tell me he looked good in pre-season going against the other teams future cuts. I have no problem with him if he turns out to be that special someone, but if he can't beat the competition then he deserves his pine riding fate. I have a feeling the new regime will give everyone a fair shot, let the pieces fall where they may.

Please stop. You want to take the best DL, and have him play LB as well as our 1st round pick ? Can you even fathom these two guys covering RB or slot WR ? Are you a Jauron wannabe ? Couldn't agree more. In their current state, the Bills front four have a hard enough time as it is, could you imagine anybody on this current teams DL that could play in a 3 man front, I can't. Lineman would come free and squish our current LB corps and that would include Maybin at that position who at this time has enough trouble taking on lineman. Could you really see Maybin covering a back out of the backfield ? Regardless if the Bills go 4-3 or 3-4 they need to retool. This team was drafted to run the Tampa 2, and I believe it will take them a couple of seasons to fully implement a proper 4-3 or 3-4. Their LBs need to be upgraded not only at the starting spots but depth as well. I mean your back-ups are so good that you have your SS, street free agent, and your rookie college S starting at LB over the likes of Corto and Palmer.

Without a cap in place, it will drive up the price for players. Big money teams will spend bigger bucks for playmakers making the second tier players cost even more. Do you really want to spend 10 million for a Ryan Denny type player ? Ralph spending more doesn't mean the bills will get any better. There is a misconception around this board in regards to Ralph spending money on players, he does. His problem is the bozos' that bring in the talent and who they are paying.

100% incorrect. Dick had a huge impact on players brought in either thru free agency or the draft. He was in the supermarket with them. All those DBs were Dick. Undersized linebackers and defensive linemen are pure Dick. Now that I will agree with.
