This thread makes my head hurt. For the first time in many years I have sustained optimism. We are playing relevant football in December and the future is bright. At the heart of McDermott's "process" is a driven to improve mindset. Take a deep breath and enjoy.
Kent Hull and Thurman came to a small party I was at during the season in 92. Got pretty hammered with those two while the snow fell. Nicest guys. Laughed so much my face hurt. There limo got stuck and the host had to pull them out with a tractor. Those teams had high character guys and I feel the same about the current group. For all the skill Thurman had, his pass blocking was so lunch pail. Just a hard worker. Both were special.
I watch football on Fox and hold my nose. Same thing. Eventually the news will come from the Eye of Sauron and you'll all think you won while toiling in a pit.
It's all subjective, but would anyone, other than Mahommes, pick anyone on that list over Allen? I wouldn't and I don't think any GM would. List is dubious......
Ralph was a nice man and a bad owner. After the Pegulas took over they gave out RW decals at the game. I've never seen one on a car. It's hard to win in the NFL......but not that hard.
I expected a close game. But the team looked in trouble walking out of the locker room. KC looked like they were ready to advance. We looked like deer caught in the headlights. I've never seen our team so unprepared. Also unable to make adjustments. KC didn't do anything that should have surprised us. Yes the first 9 were nice, but you could see on KC's next possession that they were the more poised team. We were whiffing on blocks on offense and tackles on defense without backing each other up. I put that on the coaches.
I also can't help but wondering if Josh can play in a noisy environment.
I would have gone into the off-season feeling better if we were competitive at least a little bit. That was tough. Hopefully the experience will help if they get this far next year.
