  1. i wouldnt trade stroud period. Big DTs who are athletic are hard to come by. Draft picks are devalued on this team anyway because we tend to draft busts. If we should consider trading anyone it should be Schoebl. He has really come on this season but I think he probably only has 1-2 yrs left.
  2. The option isnt if you WANT a big-time coach...its if you think Ralph will hire one. And if you do, you're retarded. Besides, I explained that previously in the thread. Show some damn sensitivity.
  3. not to mention all the recent success guys like Mike Smith, John Harbaugh, and Josh McDaniels are having.
  4. I dont know whats more depressing, living through another season of DJ or thinking of who is going to replace him. I just pray to God that the next coach isn't a "player's coach." I want a coach who will get in players faces and challenge them in public (i.e. Mike Tomlin with Mendenhall) instead of apologizing for them (vintage Dick Jauron). I know it might not lead to Ws, but it sure as hell will feel good to know our coach is as pissed off as us when we make inexcusable mistakes (i.e. McKelvin fumble).
  5. He might not give a damn about winning, but he isnt stupid enough to think that keeping DJ will lead to another year of high season ticket sales.
  6. no its normal to want a real Head Coach, but thinking that we will get one is another story
  7. I was trying to limit it to options Ralph might choose. guess i need to change the title to "type of HC Ralph will choose next." Lindy Ruff was a stupid joke. Updated.
  8. I feel like all these threads talking about firing Jauron NOW are a bit pointless. It is inevitable that DJ is gone, it's only a matter of when. Who knows what Ralphs timeline is, but I am guessing he is hoping to wait until the off-season, but will eventually be forced to pull the trigger b/c we will lose 3-4 consecutive games. I think most of us can agree that it is a pipe-dream for us to sign a veteran coach/college coach who will either command top-dollar or a lot of control (See Shanahan, Holmgren, Gruden, Cowher, Meyer, Carroll). When thinking about who on earth Ralph would realistically hire, I had a flashback to when we hired DJ. I remember thinking the job was Mike Sherman's because it was down to him and DJ. I wasn't thrilled about Sherman but he had won in the league so I was content. Sure enough Marv/Ralph chose the Ivy Leaguer instead. I was pissed-off but over time the fan in me took over as I started to have hope for the upcoming season. I guess my question to everyone is, what will you do if Ralph pulls another hire like the DJ hire? Some low-key, re-tread head coach who has not had any real success as a HC. For example, what if we hired like Al Groh or Mike Tice. I would probably watch all the games still, just not care as much if we win/lose.
  9. Hahahahaha, this has to be one of the stupidest things I have ever read.
  10. good point GG....or should i say Russ!
  11. could not agree more. I love Bobby April but there is no reason to have so many Special Team Specialists who literally cannot contribute on offense or defense (See Corto, Jenkins, Wendling, McIntyre). If the bottom line is such an issue, I would have preffered to carry a 50-man roster and had at least Derrick Brooks (Greatest Cover 2 LB of all-time who at least could teach these scrubs how to make plays) or some veteran OT help. I also find it kind of illogical to even have Hamdan on the roster. Sure him and Trent have some bromance brewing, but the coaching staff proved last year they have no desire to let him hit the field and see what he's got....if that is the case, then they should have brought in a developmental QB who we can groom to be Trent's replacement or at least a serviceable backup in the future.
  12. This seasons over....bring back Carl Mauck. Sure our OL sucked under him but that dude was never happy and you knew it.
  13. Dude, no experienced HC in their right mind would step into this shitshow even if Ralph would throw crazy money at them. They will wait until the offseason in hopes another vacancy opens up...
  14. Can you please spare me with the ignorant fan base nonsense....its so played out. All I was saying was that he has not been the same player since he got his head knocked off against AZ last year. He has been way too timid and just plain and simple has not done enough to win us most games. He does have his weeks but more often than not those come against fluff opponents. I will be honest, I was content after Week 1 b/c he didnt lose us the game, but the lack of WR production someone concerned me. After Week 2, I was cautiously optimistic that he turned the corner, but knew Tampa Bay at home was not a good barometer. After Week 3, I have by no means given up on the guy, but I think that if he doesnt get his act together soon, then their is probably no hope for him. And also, I don't know anyone who considered Trent the "truth" after 2 weeks....that makes no sense b/c everyone knows that Fred Jackson is the fuggin TRUTH! In the end, this season will give us enough evidence to see if his body of work is starting NFL QB worthy or not.
  15. Yeah dont hold your breath....so let me guess, you never developed an opinion on JP Losman or Mike Williams because they didnt have a legitimate head coach either? I dont disagree with you but you have to start evaluating people at some point.
  16. Totally agree. He showed lots of flashes early on in his career but i think Adrian Wilson knocked some marbles loose because he has not been the same since.
  17. I guess i personally want to see it so I have some comfort that our coaching staff is letting him know that this type of **** wont fly. I usually am not into the whole in your face/belittling players type of coaches but I think that type of tough love is probably the only thing that can turn him into some semblance of a starting NFL QB.
  18. I personally think that he has been coddled way to much. He is not a rookie anymore. I wish we had a coach who would get in his face on the sideline and tell him to throw the damn ball. I am not going to lie, I was pretty excited about him in the beginning of last year especially during the comeback wins against OAK and JAX (turned out both those teams were not that good), but I leaped off the wagon after the Cleveland game. I still to this day, have never seen a more timid and scared QB in my life. I don't think he is the answer, but I also know Ryan Fitzpatrick probably isnt either so let him ride out the season and lets see if he can prove us wrong.
  19. how you run a supposed no-huddle offense all game, but your 2-minute offense is horrible. I honestly am beginning the think that the whole reason we switched to the no-huddle was because DJ finally decided to adjust (6 months after the season) to all the Delay of Game Penalties/Time-Outs we were taking last year.
  20. This guy is some scrub from the Tonowanda News, he is probably creamin his pants knowing that people are talking about an "Article" he wrote. Just writing about TO to get his name out there.
  21. Hey Tim, Just curious, do you think the UFL will be a joke? Seems like they are headed in the right direction considering they have been able to land pretty high profile coaches (Haslet, Fassel, Willingham).
  22. he always has been a dumbass. I consider him an extension of the Bills PR department. Never gives insightful criticism, and never asks any difficult questions during interviews.
  23. yeah they will be suckin air....on the sideline. Our hurry-up offense will off the field in 60 seconds when Jason Taylor and Co. maul Trent.
