No point in even comparing the two this early in their careers: -Hardy tore his knee up, is Modrak supposed to see that in his crystal ball? -At the time we needed redzone help and Hardy's size is more of an asset there than D.Jackson's speed. -Jackson has Donovan McNabb throwing him the ball. We have Edwards who is afraid to the throw the ball more than 10 yards. -We have Lee Evans on our team who is pretty damn similar to Jackson and over the last 2 years we have not found a way to get him the ball deep, so what makes you think we would be able to get Jackson the ball deep? I am sick of fans just throwing out random players names and saying the Bills totally missed the boat, its such faulty logic. Sometimes there is a case to be had if the draft pick was a bold pick at the time (i.e. Witner), but the Hardy pick made perfect sense. Furthermore, Hardy is in his 2nd year, give the guy a damn chance before you label him a bust.

I personally think this offense is more suited for Jackson. My ideal scenario would be to start Jackson and give him the ball for the first 2.5 quarters....if he is doing well, keep giving him majority of the carries for the rest of the game. If he isnt doing too well then give a hungry, more motivated Lynch the rock and let him pound on the D. Regardless of the split, I think Jackson needs more touches. And whoever starts should be given at least the half to get a good rhythm going.

Perry Fool's Weekly Monologue - Funnier Then Letterman
MURTR replied to VJ91's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, i think people need to chill the F out. Yeah they ran all over us, but they did produce 5 turnovers and held the Jets to 13 pts at home. That definitely constitutes holding up their end of the bargain. -
Buffalo's soon to be new head coach
MURTR replied to SWVABillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want nothing to do with this guy, he has bust written all over him. He has a good OL, best RB in football, decent WRs, and Favre....what on earth will he do with our O if he came to Buffalo. I am not against getting a Coordinator but I would prefer someone who has gotten it done for more than 1 season. In terms of Minnesota, I actually would prefer Leslie Frazier. I know the guy has crazy talent on D, but I heard his personality is very similar to that of Mike Tomlin's who I like a lot as a HC. -
Why are so many people turning a blind eye to Trent?

Ladies and Gentlement, I would like to introduce you all to Trent Edward's sister, you know the one who he lives with in Buffalo. -

Bills staying in Buffalo - The Economics 101
MURTR replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think our best hope is for Jax. to continue to suck. If they can be the team to move to LA (their new stadium is approved), then I think we should be ok for the time being. I think when the time comes for a new stadium in Buffalo is when the team has the best chance of leaving. Does anyone know of any other large markets the NFL would be interested in trying to tap next outside of LA? -
Yeah his legacy as a great coach/horse-$h)t GM is firmly set in stone.

bro, u are so off base its not even funny. A good metaphor would be someone who gets hosed by a business. They call them, send letters, complain but to no avail. Then as a last resort they report them to one of those Eyewitness News programs who then come knocking on the business door. Sure this is embarrassing but that is the point, you want the business (Ralph) to know that the customer wont put up with being jerked around. As for the billboard, i think it is way more critical of Ralphs inaction than Dick Jauron. All it is saying, DJ and Co. tried and failed, now move on already. -

So let me get this straight, it is ok for us to publicly embarrass Ralph with your hypthetical billboard but not to "embarrass" Dick? Sure Ralph is more to blame for going cheap on coaches and players but at the end of the day this is DJs team. I just dont get why everyone content with being so passive....looks like the fans are taking on dick jauron's demeanor too....SKELETOR-FLU -
Maurice Jones-Drew does what no Bills player will
MURTR replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, except for the MIA game, they have done their share to put us in a position to win. Rankings are pretty worthless right now as we have only played 5 games, 1 bad game can destroy your ratings. -

I do not understand why everyone is so appalled by this Billboard. People sit here and bash DJ in public forums, but if some dude just says fire DJ on a billboard it is running him through the mud? This isn't some knee-jerk reaction, this is 10 yrs of an owner not putting the tools in place to get us to the playoffs. I find this no different than fans protesting outside the stadium, putting paper bags on their head, or leaving 80,000 bic lighters behind in the stadium....ok maybe not the latter. As for the argument that people are idiots and should spend their money elsewhere, I think that this is no different than the fans in GB buying "stock" in the team. The stock certificates they receive are worthless but the fans do it because they are die-hard and want to know they did their part in supporting their team just as the fans who donated to this kid, wanted to support their team by telling Ralph this **** aint going to fly. I personally didnt donate, but who the hell am I to say how people should spend their money. -

MURTR replied to 3cheesenacho's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dude why would the Browns of all teams want Roscoe and his hefty salary....they have joshua cribbs who is a pro bowl return man/special teamer. -
any rumors if we are ever going to sign a fuggin OT? I guess it makes no sense because they would have to learn our complex hi-octane offense, and might have multiple false start penalties during home games as a result.
-
There is no doubt that the team is cheap, but who the hell else are the supposed to sign? I am just happy they signed a real vet, not some scrub who has never played a down in reg. season game.
-
yeah he is also a former Texas Longhorn...they have a rich history of great players in the NFL.

REMINDER: Week 5 ESPN Coach Approval Rating
MURTR replied to MURTR's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think 1% is probably the best we can hope for. -
I really just think it would be fitting for Ralph to keep a coach with a 0% approval rating for 10+ weeks. Please keep the Dream Season ALIVE! http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/sportsnation/coach?coachId=17

I am not a Browns fan, but that was AWESOME
MURTR replied to MURTR's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont know how they did it, but DJ & Co. made it possible for me to dettach myself from the team. I dont get worked up anymore. Just sit back, relax, and watch the $h!tshow unfold...you couldnt even make up half the stuff we go through. -
In a season where there is practically nothing to cheer for, I was absolutely thrilled at the final outcome. I mean can you write a better script for DJ to get fired. -False Starts every drive at HOME -Giving another winless team their first W -Another special teams screw up -We hold our opponent to 2 completions and LOSE -Losing on a last second FG -Our QB of the future looks like crap -We are probably on the verge of signing LBs from other teams practice squads and making them our starters -Trent Edwards will get the tar beaten out of him next week vs. the Jets - 2010 Draft Lottery I just wish we could have signed TO to a 2-year do so he wouldnt have to be a boyscout in a contract year. Seeing him go off would have just been the cherry on top.
