  1. The guy picked up on my area code (703) and that's what started the long answer of "no".
  2. I experienced the same thing about 2 months ago. The guy asked all kinds of questions of being a Bills fan and then asked where I live. I told him Virginia. He said I couldn't get season tickets. I asked him why not. He said even though I had season tickets before, I was not allowed to get them now. A new policy prohibits people out of state to get them. He told me I could get single game tickets if I wanted but that was it. He said the Bills are trying to eliminate people buying season tickets, attending a few games, and then re-selling the rest. While I understand what they are trying to accomplish, i.e. season ticket holders personally attending the majority of the games, they run the risk of turning off fans. There are plenty of Bills fan outside of New York as we all know.
  3. Large number no doubt. I wonder how many of those players would be here if Ryan was still here?
  4. More likely to be broke and in jail. His cell mate will encourage him to come over and "punch his cabana".
  5. I remember him being a pretty good punter for the Bills. Sad to hear.
  6. This article, imo, offered very little from a news standpoint. Beluchick is considered one of the best coaches of all time and Ryan is an idiot. There's the difference. Coaching has been the difference maker in the NFL for quite some time. NFL teams are pretty close from a talent standpoint. Coaching gets your team prepared and puts you in a position to win. Yeah, the Pats have Brady but they went 3 - 1 without him last year.
  7. I was thinking about Brady the other day while walking the dog. There is some speculation among pundits that this may be his last season. So I was thinking about HOF speeches and how they thank everybody. So here is my non PC speech by Brady. "I'd like to the thank ...... blah, blah, Blah." I'd also like to thank the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins for sucking so bad all those years and letting us win so many AFC East Titles. I salute Russell Wilson and the Seahawks for arguably the dumbest play call in NFL history and letting us win the Super Bowl that year. Thanks to the Falcons and their gigantic collapse in letting us win the Super Bowl. Thanks to the refs on numerous occasions for calling PI or roughing the Qb or whatever to help us win that particular game. Extra thanks for the refs who called the "Tuck Rule" against the Raiders. Feel free to add on.
  8. Many good points so far. I want a coach who is well prepared and has his team well prepared. If they lose a game, which will happen, it's because the other team has better talent. No more beating ourselves!
  9. I was living in Kansas City when the Chiefs drafted him. The Chiefs had a number of players in trouble with the law. Dawson was not one of them. He started out pretty fast and had some promise but got injured. When interviewed he came across as articulate, mature, and team oriented. FWIW over 20 years ago
  10. Maybe it is code for total rebuild. It started with hiring One new head coach.
  11. EJ and CJ. I bet there were a bunch of takes on that one. This was the worst one and the corniest.
  12. He also did kickoffs with the Colts. He'll be a bit harder to replace than your average punter.
  13. A wait and see approach. It has the appearance of solid hires which I guess is good. I did not like the Rex hire ever FWIW.
  14. Hard to believe that Atlanta interviewed Rex just 2 years ago and went with Quinn. I kept thinking where would Atlanta stand today if they hired Rex instead of Quinn. Also, Atlanta gave me some more hope with the McDermott hire. A first time HC who was a Defensive Coordinator who has turned things around in 2 years. The Bills need to solve their qb situation but McDermott does have some players to build around.
  15. Yes. It's still early in the process but per draft pundits there's no franchise qbs in the draft. So yeah the Bills should not trade the 1st pick to move up a few spots and give up the 2018 1st Rd pick and a 4th Rd pick to boot. If they draft a qb with an existing pick, I'm good with that. They have too many holes to give up picks plus it's just too costly.
  16. The worst thing the Bills could do would be a re-enactment of the Sammy trade and trade up in the draft to get a qb. The next worst thing would be getting Jay Cutler.
  17. I believe it's around 15k. I had seasons for a few years but live out of state and ate too many tickets. Those December home games. Ditched seasons last year along with Sunday Ticket and spent $0. Still spend a bunch of time reading about the Bills.
  18. Some tough decisions to be made for sure. I think they let Gilmore and Woods walk. Too expensive coupled with big $ contracts already. It wouldn't surprise me if Kyle retires. They have many needs, a bunch of UFAs, not much cap room and not a whole lot of picks. Pretty ugly.
  19. I think coupons are frowned upon. How about a gift card? Lol
  20. Nooooooooooooo!
  21. Four teams left led by Brady, Rodgers, Rothlisberger, and Ryan. I think that's 7 Super Bowl rings between them. I forget how many Marcia has. Ryan has had a great year while Rodgers has been white hot the last 2 months. Brady took a month off and looks his usual self. R'berger just keeps winning. Then you have the Raiders a 12 win team, lose Carr and McGloin, who lose to the Texans with rookie QB Cook. Can't help but think Raiders win that one if Carr was able to play. Sure hope the Bills have a viable plan to acquire and develop a good qb.
  22. Even if it's not dysfunctional (I believe the FO is) the perception is the FO is dysfunctiinal. Like you say, it won't go away until they start winning and making the playoffs.
  23. If Bills got Romo, they will need to address O line. In particular RT.
