My neighbor is a huge Clemson fan. I asked him about Clelan Ferrel, Dexter Lawrence, and Christian Wilkins. He thought they all could go first round. He talked on and on about Wilkins. A great kid, a great player, leader, and so on. He already graduated and I believe got a graduate degree. When I heard my neighbor talk about Wilkins I was thinking this is the Bills kind of player through and through.

If Rosen is so good then why is he available? The Cards gave up a 3rd and a 5th to take him 10th overall and now supposedly want to trade him less than a year later. Nobody knows what Beane thought of Darnold or Mayfield but we know he liked Allen over Rosen. So far he's been right.

I think it is DT. Kyle retired and played around 60% of defensive snaps. Jordan Phillips is a nice rotation guy but nothing more. Harrison Phillips hasnt shown that he is ready for larger role yet. JMO If they trade out of 9, almost anything is possible. I hope they draft DT and DE on day 2.

I agree. Right now Vlad has no trade value but strange things could happen after the draft to make his value go up some.

At the risk of being laughed at, I think Beane is holding onto Ducasse to see if he can trade him. I know it sounds out there but look at John Miller's contract with the Bengals.

I agree with this. I think it's a combination of both talent and playcalling. Need more talent and more agressive play call i.e. blitzing.

I suspect the Bills will draft OL in later rounds and let them adjust to the NFL game. Trying to avoid throwing a rookie OL guy in there like they did with Teller.

The Bills were one of worst teams in red zone defense. They gave up a very high touchdown %. Most of it had to do with no or very little pass rush.

Perhaps Bennett is too far back. Someone like Lorax is probably what we need. A three down backer who can rush the passer.

All this LB talk got me thinking about Cornelius Bennett. He played OLB on run downs and on passing downs, he often lined up as a pass rusher opposite Bruce Smith. Is there anyone in this year's draft that has Bennett skill set or could Edmunds be this guy? Im guessing they would have to a get a MLB to free up Edmunds.

I have to agree. Especially after the Bengals signed Miller to 3 yrs $16.5 M. Somebody will probably be interested in Ducasse and Bodine. They have a lot of starting experience.

Overall I generally agree with the OPs assessment. It is way early and a long way to go. Bills are incredibly active. Almost anything is possible with the 1st rd pick and draft in general. Hard to see them staying with 10 picks.

If they cut anyone it will be Vlad Ducasse. Only $83k dead cap hit and saves $2 MM in cap space. Teams usually carry 9 OL on the 53 roster. 4 OTs and 5 interior OL.

I think Dawkins roster spot is safe. He's on a rookie deal. Might be fighting for his starting job though if they keep getting OL guys.

I think no. I hope the Bills draft a DE and extend Hughes. If Lawson has a good year, try to extend him during the season or tag him at season end with the intention of extending. If can"t reach a deal, trade him.

Visited the Grand Tetons this past fall. Bought a ball cap with the Wyoming state insignia and wear it to all Bills home games. Season ticket holder.

I tend to agree with you. I was kind of shocked, in a good way, by the number of free agent signings. There's not many openings on the 53 man roster assuming all of these recent signings make the team.

Hurst was considered a first rounder before heart issue discovered. Iirc Raiders took him in 3rd round

I live in Northern Virginia. Almost all the restaurants and bars here are franchises and chains. I love going to the Buffalo area for their bars and restaurants. Small business type places. Buffalo is a cool place. Don't change a thing except the Bills record.
