  1. I'm liking Bass even more with his touchbacks
  2. Look forward to it Virgil. 3 - 0 baby!
  3. Greg Olsen getting ready for his TV career
  4. I think you have to consider designed run plays by Allen part of the answer. Also it's only 1 game with Moss. As mentioned above Bills had 8th best rushing attack last year and they added Moss, moved Ford to RG, signed D. Williams. I don't think Bills are satisfied.
  5. Watched the Pats Fish game from week 1. Pats played a very conservative game offensively. Ran it 42 times for 217 yards. Newton ran quite a few designed run plays. WR Harry fumbled at Fish 2 yd and resulted in a touchback. Pats were up 14 - 3 at that point. Could have been 21 - 3. Fish came down scored TD with help of 2 PIs. Even the 2 PT conversion for Fish was a broken down play which Fitz ran in for the score. It was one of those games where you just didn't think Fish had a shot to win the game. Miami is better than the Jets but still have a ways to go. I see the Bills getting the running game going this week with designed runs by Allen and the 2 RBs Singletary and Moss. I think Bills cover the spread.
  6. Watched the game on game pass. Probably do it all season minus the night games. Pure football. Nothing else. Ditto
  7. Well put. We used to get bombarded by fast food, car, etc commercials. Now we're getting social justice statements. I watch the games on NFL game pass. 45 minutes of pure football. Nothing else. I recommend to anyone who wants to "escape" from the everyday sh#t show we are in now.
  8. What a waste of a 5th rd pick. Like you mentioned, the Bills put Joseph on IR last year so what's up with the Fish? Either poor roster management or a bad pick to start. Not a good look for the Fish either way.
  9. They signed Addison as their fill in for DE. They drafted Epenesa and I wouldn't be surprised if they drafted a DE in April. I believe Bills want to get younger at DE.
  10. Neal is a lock. Saw plenty of defensive snaps last year plus special teams guy.
  11. I believe this is the NFL's way of dealing with the virus. If a team gets hit hard then they have a large pool of players to pull from. I'm like you though. I was hoping for full protection.
  12. You're talking about a few specific incidents without giving the specifics. I'm talking in broad terms and I'm not about talking about a "vague assertion about possible warrants." I'm talking about traffic stops where a police officer runs the license plate and the car is stolen, the registered owner of the vehicle has an outstanding warrant, etc. It's all run through NCIC.
  13. Playoffs all day. Everyday. Getting the #1 pick, in most situations, means your team is absolutely terrible and is a couple years,if not more, away from being decent. If your team is terrible, how much confidence do you, as a fan, have in your team in selecting the right player, surrounding him with talent, and developing and coaching up all this talent? As far as hockey is concerned, I'm just glad Edmonton didn't get the top pick.
  14. Most cops are good cops. There are some bad cops no doubt and others who could use better training. Some times cops pull over someone who has an outstanding arrest warrant hence guns are drawn on the vehicle approach. Most videos don't tell the complete story. They usually don't cover the entire incident and therefore can be absent of the complete set of circumstances.
  15. Weaving thru traffic is one thing. Unable to maintain your lane I.e. drifting is totally different.
  16. That sucks for Oliver but IF he was drifting between lanes like the citizen said he was, then what do you expect. Didn't he have an open beer can between his legs when he was pulled over? Keep your hands on the wheel AND have your DL and registration in your hands. That's what I do.
  17. The Bills offense needs to score more points. Yeah the defense muffed up against the Texans but you're not going to win many playoff games scoring one touchdown and a handful of FGs. Also, I look at this playoff loss as one of those losses that almost every pro team experiences before becoming a good team. The Bills should be focused and determined.
  18. Good writeup. I tend to lean towards going with 7 WRs. Regarding Roberts, Is he facing any serious competition as a PR or KR?
  19. I'm looking at the offense in general has to improve. They need to score more points. There's not much margin for error for the defense. The defense needs a better pass rush (hopefully that has been fixed) but to me the offense is holding this team back. Getting Diggs should help but Allen, Knox, Ford, and Singletary need to crank up their game.
  20. Some serious position battles this summer and arguably the most competitive Bills camp in a long time. Anyone heard about reporters access this year? Usual restrictions or more access?
  21. Wow. I remember when Washington drafted him and thinking they got a heckuva player. Knee injuries and now this. I was wrong.
  22. Fromm earned a little respect from me and MLJ lost a fair amount in this exchange. These reporters keep wanting to make news instead of just reporting it.
  23. They didn't have much cap to work with this year. They franchise tagged Joe Thuney which ate up most of what they had. They also took a pretty good cap hit ($13.5 M and $4.5 M) with Tommy Boy and Antonio Brown. They received some cap space now that they had some guys opt out.
  24. Beane is definitely his own person who worked his way up the Panthers organization. He was a GM candidate when the Panthers hired Dave Gettelman. The Bills were also a sh*t show right before McD was hired. Rex was let go with 3 years remaining on his deal, Tyrod benched the last game, and Whaley's end of season press conference. Bad times at OBD. Any new HC candidate and GM for that matter in this situation would have more leverage than usual regarding negotiations. As outsiders, we will never know the exact details of the negotiations between McD and the Pegulas. Do you think McD signed the contract not knowing the status of Doug Whaley going forward? Do you think McD didn't discuss possible new GMs who he could work with as the Bills HC? McD is an extremely detail oriented guy and even a control freak. To me, all those things were worked out ahead of time and firing Whaley after the draft and hiring Beane soon after was no coincidence. The best time to hire/fire a coach is at the end of a season. The best time to hire/fire a GM and staff is right after the draft. I believe McD pitched the idea of hiring Beane as GM to the Pegulas. He may have even demanded it but we will never know.
