  1. IIRC, the Bills last year initially cut Andre Roberts and Dean Marlowe to get down to 53. In about 24 hours time, they put 2 players on IR, I can't remember who, and brought back Roberts and Marlowe. I could see the Bills trying to do similar moves this year.
  2. Agree with this. I re-watched a fair number of Bills games from last season on game pass. Regarding Bojo last year, he missed quite a few chances to pin the opponent inside the 20. This may be another reason why they changed punters.
  3. Kumerow's sideline catch right before half sealed his spot for me. How many WR6 guys can do that?
  4. Fields looked pretty frustrated at the game's end.
  5. I was focused on the Bills oline. The starting 5 was Dawkins, Feliciano, Bates, Ford, and Brown. Brown played a few series at RT and moved over to LT. Doyle came in at RT for Brown. Hart came in later and was called for holding on a play. Looks like Hart was dropped down the depth chart. Both Morse and Darryl Williams sat out this game. Boettger played both LG and RG. Looks like Bills are leaning towards 9 OL. Dawkins, Feliciano, Morse, Ford, Williams, Boettger, Brown, Doyle, and Bates.
  6. Hoping to see some young guys on the dline make plays
  7. I understand the reasoning to keep Jones but really dislike the idea. The roster is really flush and would hate to see a young guy with potential get cut. I checked some stats from last year. The Bills kicked off 101 times resulting in 71 touchbacks. They punted 41 times with 18 inside the 20 (stats didn't indicate fair catches). Haacke appears to have better hang time than Bojo imo. The number of returns by opponents ( punts and kickoffs) per game doesn't justify a gunner only player imo. Give me Siran Neal, Kumerow, and maybe another guy or two as gunners. Better roster utilization imo.
  8. As we know, McD is a non nonsense coach. He is firing a shot across the bow of Dawkins. He has missed 2 + weeks of training camp. He has a month to get it together. If he starts practicing this week, I'm not worried.
  9. Those are two remarkable trades made by Beane because I didn't think the Bills could get anything for those guys. My favorite trade along these lines is trading Russell Bodine for a 6th rounder. IIRC, Bodine didn't last a week with the Cheaters. If the Bills were to trade Hart, it might be Beane's best one yet.
  10. If Beane trades Bobby Hart, I will fall out of my chair from laughing. He is terrible. He is a human turnstile.
  11. Quite a few NFL pundits believe that Sanders is an upgrade to Brown. He doesn't have Brown's overall speed but is more physical.
  12. Man, the drug problem up in Boston is worse than I thought. Somebody get them some help.
  13. I agree. The strength of the Bills is their passing game. They have a deep WR room and it makes sense to keep 7. After last season ended, we learned about how beat up the WRs were. I'm thinking Diggs, Sanders, Beasley, Kumerow, Davis, McKenzie, and Hodgins. Dress 6 on game day.
  14. Lee Smith, the last 2 years combined, had 8 catches, 66 yards, and 3 TDs. I'll take my chances with Brown
  15. Good points. I believe there's a better chance this year for 7 WRs. OL Brown could fill a dual role of swing tackle and TE 4 (Lee Smith's role last year). If so, this would create an extra roster spot.
  16. IIRC, McD and Beane usually go 25/25/3 Offense/Defense/STs. Offense - QB 2, RB 4, TE 4, WR 6, and OL 9. Defense - DE 5, DT 4, LB 6, CB 6, and S 4. This year may be a little different. I could see them going with 3 TEs (Knox, Hollister and either Sweeney or Gilliam) and using OL Brown in certain situations like they did with Lee Smith last year. This would allow to keep either 10 OL or 7 WR. If Stevenson lights it up in camp, might have to keep him on 53 or lose him altogether. He may not clear waivers. I think Efe Obada makes the team.
  17. The NFL is essentially "mandating" that players get vaccinated without mandating it. I wonder if teams will release some unvaccinated players for "different" reasons and the other teams won't sign these players.
  18. I don't think Beasley has done enough yet to get cut. A few weeks ago, I did think he was a lock to make the roster along with Diggs, Sanders, and Davis at WR. Now, I'm not so sure he's a lock. The door may have opened up a little. If Beane and McD don't have full confidence in Beasley, staying focused on helping the team and not being a distraction, I could see them trying to trade him or releasing him. I don't like the idea because I think he's a good WR. If Sanders, Hodgins, and McKenzie have a great camp though, maybe it's more a possibility.
  19. Mingo will have his day in court. If convicted, prison is a bad place for a convicted pedophile. They might have to put him in isolation to protect him.
  20. Taking Rousseau definitely has an element of risk. As others have said, he only played one season and had 15.5 sacks. If he had two seasons with those numbers, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did. All draft picks have some element of risk. Rousseau has freakish length and seems like a good kid. I trust McD and his staff in coaching up Rousseau.
  21. I haven't read the entire, so apologies in advance. Curious to see if NFL will allow teams to place a player who is unvaccinated and unwilling to follow league Covid protocols on an exemption list or if team has to carry player on their 53 man roster.
  22. I know it's voluntary, but where the eff is Star!!
  23. Had the same thing happen to me after McD's first year. I tried to surprise my brother who lives in Orchard Park. After I was denied, I called my brother up, told him the situation and he bought us season tickets.
  24. That sucks dude. I was wondering what was happening for STHs who were Canadian.
