For the rest of this season, the best we can hope for is getting Brown and Feliciano back and go with Dawkins, Feliciano, Morse, Williams, and Brown. In the offseason, the OL is going to be blown up big time. Last off season it was the DL ( 2 draft picks and a FA signing). Brown and Doyle will remain, and Dawkins and Morse are likely to stay imo. Everyone else is either likely gone or has a reduced role along with reduced salary. In the upcoming draft, I'm leaning towards the Bills selecting an OL guy in first round. It's the one area where Beane has not used a first rounder yet. I count Diggs as a first rounder since we traded a 1st to get him.

What song describes how you felt after the Jags loss?

I wish the Bills RBs could run like Benny Hill. He seemed rather elusive. -
Pretty good summation from Cover1

The Bills Oline really started getting exposed last year in the playoffs. Some of it may be attributable to coaching but I believe a fair amount of it is a lack of overall talent. They are having trouble dealing with guys who are quick off the snap who possess tremendous strength. The Bills need oline guys who are more athletic, bigger and stronger. Spencer Brown is a good add imo. I am somewhat frustrated by the drafting of Carlos Basham this year. The 2nd round seemed like a good spot to draft a C/G who likely could have contributed this season. Instead we take a DE, who is one of six, and is inactive most game days. The frustration is not directed towards Basham. -

You'll need to bring your Covid vaccination card or show electronic record of vaccinations. I'm from Virginia and the Dept of Health here has a website to retrieve your vaccination records. -
The Bills have 11 DL guys this season but DEs Addison, Hughes, Obada are free agents which leaves DEs Rousseau, Epenesa and Basham under contract for next season. The Bills will want to have at least 4 DEs. Hughes leads all DL guys this season in snap counts and has a high QB pressure rate. I think it's likely the Bills will want Hughes back. DTs Phillips, Zimmer and Butler are free agents which leaves Star and Oliver under contract for next year. The Bills seem to like Zimmer so I believe they'll try to bring him back. The 4th DT spot will probably be a new guy. Bills will address OL needs through draft is my guess and spend their money on retaining guys such as Hughes, Sanders, and maybe Wallace.

Pats are 4-4 with a rookie QB and almost top 10 defense

Another win was against the Texans and rookie QB Davis Mills. -
Are you saying trading Dareus was a mistake?
-
Beane had previously traded away Watkins and Darby, but trading Dareus and getting his contract of the books was the real beginning of the turnaround.

Will lack of Tough Games hurt the Bills?
DCbillsfan replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall
True, the Chiefs are not playing well but winning a night game in KC is no small feat. I lived in KC in the mid 90s and attended a bunch of games. That place rocks and is incredibly loud. Opposing teams usually don't fare well there. -
This is awesome - congrats to Chris Spielman

That was great! Finally, the Lions did something right! -
Anyone Have This Frustration With The Titans Game
DCbillsfan replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
I fully expect Beane to address the OL in the off-season. Initially, I was believing a high draft pick on a C/G with the player most likely starting at LG year 1. Move him to Center year 2. Now, I'm thinking perhaps a LT in round 1 and kick Dawkins inside to LG. Whatever they decide, I think they'll let Feliciano go. Boettger is an UFA and I believe is gone. I think they'll keep Ford because he's cheap and next season will be his last year on his rookie deal. Bates is a JAG. Could see him brought back on the cheap. Also think they'll spend a high pick on Star's eventual replacement. Phillips and Butler are UFAs and I believe will be gone after this season. The Titans did play well, played their "A" game, and we still came close to winning. Bills need to be prepared for the other team's best effort because it's likely to happen again. -
A few thoughts about the Titans game, in no particular order
DCbillsfan replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually agreed with the decision to go for it. However I did not like the play call. The Oline was struggling pretty much all game. I would have preferred an Allen rollout to his right with an option of either throwing or running it in. The defense couldn't stop the Titans and I think this weighed heavily on McD's decision to go for it. -
I get it OP, you hate losing to the Titans. Take a number and get in line. Who doesn't? This game went exactly how the Titans needed it to stay in the game. The Bills were 2 for 5 in the red zone, Henry had a long TD run, the Bills turned it over deep in their zone which led to a TD. Still they were 1 yard short of victory. The OL is the weakness of this team. They struggle against physical DLs. Really can't do anything about it until the offseason.

The helmet worn by Dolphins center - never seen that before.

So far, Tua has had time to throw

Also WR Preston Williams and WR Devante Parker

I think the Bills play angry and run up the score this week

I really liked how physical the Bills were with the Chiefs. It really stood out to me in a good way. They smacked the Chiefs around the entire game. I think Part Deux is Monday night. -
CC got on my nerves. Watched much of the game with no sound.

The Bills Offense Evolution is Paying Off In Spades
DCbillsfan replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Knox keeps making plays, he's going to remain on the field. He only missed 2 plays against the Chiefs. He's a big, athletic guy who creates mismatches especially down in the red zone. The Bills running 4 WR sets ( 10 personnel) will be less frequent. The Bills have an added dimension to their offense - a legit threat at TE. Been a long time. -

Point 2 - The Drive. 12 plays 85 yards 7:51. The Chiefs knew what was coming and they couldn't stop them. -
Collinsworth was almost impossible to listen to.
DCbillsfan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Collingsworth is irritating. He was irritating as a player too. Always complaining to the refs a la Brady. I was hitting the mute button on the regular last night. -
