The playing field has finally leveled off in New England. Belichick is a very good coach perhaps the best ever. However he no longer has Brady at QB, perhaps the best player ever, who they got for a 6th rd pick and never was paid at market value. Since Brady was "underpaid" they were able to afford other good players who under normal circumstances would have played somewhere else. Also players wanted to play with Brady and did so for less money. It was the perfect storm. Also throw in there the AFC East competition was incredibly incompetent during most of that time. I know people are starting to doubt Belichick now but not me. If they get someone who can evaluate talent they could be tough. Patriots have had poor drafts lately.

I agree. Last season was a very uneven one. Some really bad losses where the game was lost at the line of scrimmage. We'll find out soon if the changes made were the right ones.

There are some games I don't rewatch. 13 seconds is the latest one.

I'm old enough to remember games where the score was only shown on the screen when the game went to commercial break. It could be a few minutes if not more before you knew the score. I'll take today's graphics. It gives me the option of muting idiots like Chris Collingsworth and Troy Aikman.

So, is Singletary gone after this season, regardless of how good a year he may have? To me, extending Oliver would be first priority, but then you have Poyer, Edmunds, Knox along with a possible Davis extension. They can't re-sign all these guys. Drafting a RB in the 3rd rd with little likelihood of re-signing him appears to contradict Beane's mantra of draft, develop, and re-sign your guys. I mean it doesn't look likely that Moss gets re-signed either when his deal runs out. Like others pointed out, too much value being expended at RB position. The water is a little muddy in the RB room.

If they dress 8 OL, they almost always do, they're allowed to dress 48, so 5 inactives. My guess is Hart, Lewis, Spector, Sweeney and Lawson.

Now that the games count, I'm curious to see if Bills run 21 personnel and have Cook put in motion or have him split out wide after initially lining up in backfield. Try to give defense initially a run look and then try to create a mismatch in the pass game I.e. LB covering Cook.

I think Hart is game day inactive and Quessenberry is third G. I'm skeptical about the oline depth chart. Unless Brown and Qberry are sharing RT snaps in this game.

Have you ever tried watching a Bills game with the sound turned off? I do this at times and the games are less stressful to watch.

I think it was tough for Beane because Sweeney and Morris likely would have been claimed off waivers leaving Beane no choice but to cut Howard. Not a good look for Beane.
