Cower will have his choice of places to go if and when he decides to start coaching again. I'm sure Buffalo isn't on his list. That said, I think Brian Billick would be a good fit here.

John Voight the actor or the periodontist?

So what, Randy Moss was no different. In fact, he was a bigger media whore than TO was before he got to New England. Why does he get a pass? Because he plays for your beloved patriots*?

Last year his excuse for not hitting Evans was because he was getting double teamed by opposing defenses. Whats his excuse this year? The Saints put eight men on the line of scrimmage? Boo hoo. A good quarterback will make you pay in that situation by taking a three step drop and getting rid of the ball. It has become painfully obvious that Edwards is incapable of making quick decisions. Teams will continue to crowd the line of scrimmage because he's gunshy. The play that really did it for me yeasterday was on the opening drive of the second half. It was 3rd and 16. The Saints blitzed. Edwards did a good job of avoiding the pressure by rolling to his right, but as he was doing it he never even looked at his recievers. He locked on to Derek Fine and tossed a 3 yard pass. Before the play was even over Edwards was walking to the sideline. At that point the fans in my section were screaming for him to be benched. The honeymoon is over. It's time for Edwards to go and he can take Limp Dick Juron with him.

You gotta love the flutie magic

I'm not offering you points I'm giving you facts. All you are giving me is comparisons between Flutie and Johnson. You saying Flutie was better than Johnson is like me saying Angelina Jolie is hotter than Whoopie Goldberg. It's a no brainer dude, we all get it. But it doesn't prove to me or any other Flutie detractor that he was a good quarterback. Flutie didn't do anything here in Buffalo that any other AVERAGE quarterback couldn't have done behind the stellar play of a great defense. The fact that Johnson couldn't do it only proves he was below average. No one here will argue that. But you seem to put Flutie on some kind of pedestal like he walks on water. Check out his Qb ranking in 98 and tell me if he was anymore than average. Then check out where our defense ranked that same year and get back to me. -

There you go again. The best example you can give me is to compare Flutie to the worst quarterback in Bills history? I'll tell you what, explain to me why Flutie tanked so badly in San Diego without comparing him to RJ. Can you do that? -

Right, and I guess Fluties 22-9 record as a starter had nothing to do with the fact that we had a top ranked defense. -

The team didn't fumble the ball on that last play, he did. But I guess thats the philosophy right? When we won games it was all because of Flutie and when we lost it was on the team as a whole. -

You're right. It's apparent to no one else but me that Flutie choked in the playoff game against the Fins. Thanks for clearing that up. -

You're comparing Doug Flutie to Jim Kelly and I'm ridiculous? I'm still waiting for you to explain his losing record in the playoffs. Remember, all he does is win. -

Senator, you keep saying Flutie finds ways to win but refuse to acknowledge that he blew the game for us in the 98 playoffs and was 0-3 in the playoffs. If all he does is win games how do you explain his 0-3 record in the playoffs? -

Umm, he wasn't benched in the playoff game against the fins. He had the ball in his hands on the final play and he turned it over. How can this be? the guy only wins. He's the magic man right? There was nothing magical about Flutie. He played well enough to win against average teams but stunk against the good ones. Check out his stats aginst the Jets and Giants that year. Good teams kept Flutie in the pocket and dared him to beat them with his arm. He couldn't do it. He couldn't get us to the next level because he was too one dimensional. Michael Vick has gone farther into the playoffs than Flutie ever did and won more games. He was the only QB in history to rush for 1,000 yards. Would you consider him a great QB? Of course not. When teams contained him and forced him to throw he failed miserably, just as Flutie did. And at 39 years old his arm wasn't going to get any better. The Bills didn't throw him under the bus, they simply moved on. -

Umm..we did bash Kelly at the time. Remember fans heckling him so bad after a loss he gave them the finger. Kelly was young at the time and didn't know better. He learned, and played a major roll in guiding us to 4 superbowls. What was Fluties excuse? Was he young? Did he not know better? Did he guide us to any superbowls? -

SJB, you continue to talk about everyting Flutie did for Buffalo but all you can come up with is that he saved the franchise. Look, I'll acknowledge that some fans bought tickets because of him, but the majority of fans , like myself, bought tickets because we love our team. You act as though this town owes him. Buffalo made him a rich man to the tune of 5 mil a season. And the good people of WNY lined up at supermarkets to purchase Flutie Flakes, flutie bars, and those faggy little Flutie bears. Doug Flutie prospered very well here in Buffalo. That said, "Ask not what Flutie did for Buffalo, ask what Buffalo did for Flutie." -

One of the things I admired most about Bruce Smith was the way he presented himself to the media. He didn't come off as a wannabe gangster, gold teeth, rope chains, hat on sideways. He always wore a suit and tie to his post game interviews and conducted himself like a professional. I've never met him in person so I can't comment on whether or not he was a jerk towards fans, but I do know he made a generous donation to Lancaster High School to keep their football program going when their budget failed. -

That is remarkable. I'm going to Canton in August. I can't wait to see his bust in the HOF and read more about his remarkable career. -

Is Taco Cantina still open in Angola? They had the best tacos. Anyways, Pages Paradise on Transit Rd. is great for the kids. -
I can't believe no one mentioned Sals in Depew. Not my personal favorite but they have a pretty loyal following and I believe they were once voted best wings in WNY.
-
FYI, I had dinner tonight at the Aud on Transit . I didn't think anyones wings could be worse than Quaker State and Lubes, but the Aud gets my votes for worst wings in WNY. Be afraid, be very afraid.
-
I prefer Anchor Bars wings personally, but I go to Duffs more because it's convenient. Duffs on Sheridan drive has better wings than the one in West Seneca, but West Seneca has the better atmosphere. The waitresses are way hotter at the West Seneca Duffs also. The best wings I've had to date were at Shannon Pub. Big Tree Inn has some tasty wings as well. Getting back to your original question about the Anchor Bars food I can tell you that their pizza sucks. Maybe the worst pizza in the area.

On his last leg huh? Your making this point despite the fact that he threw for a career high 3,464 yds. in 2001 with the Chargers? He's play didn't diminish, he still sucked, only he didn't have the benefit of having a top ranked defense to compensate for his piss poor play.
