  1. I felt bad for Brohm because he played hard. He even ran down field to throw a block. Unfortunately he didn't get much help from his teammates. Too many dropped passes, receivers running the wrong routes and horrible play from the offensive line has most likely cost him a roster spot. Hopefully he'll catch on somewhere else.
  2. No doubt, but the Alfred Einstein remark is classic.
  3. Agreed. The safety was late getting there for a reason.
  4. So what. In 1994 Kurt Warner was released by Green Bay. He couldn't beat out Ty Detmer for the 3rd string QB position. Every GM in the league passed on him as well. He ended up playing Arena Football until the Rams gave him a call. Look how he ended up.
  5. It's not like Flynn wasn't a good collegiate QB. His sophomore year he led LSU to a win over Miami in the Peach Bowl. His senior year he led the Tigers to a win over Ohio State in the BCS National Championship and was named offensive MVP. Your right, people are too quick to dismiss Brohm because he lost the back up role to Flynn. The fact is that Flynn is a gamer. This doesn't mean that Brohm can't still be a good NFL quarterback.
  6. Really? Go back and watch the replay.
  7. Yeah because thats exactly what I said.
  8. Check out the scouting report on Drew Brees. See how accurate they were on him.
  9. His arm looked good to me. And he completed 67% of his passes. His accuracy is fine.
  10. Favre took over the starting job after Majkowski got injured. And my point is I don't care what happened with Brohm in Green Bay. I'm only interested in what he does here.
  11. So what. Brett Favre was drafted by Atlanta in the 2nd round(33rd overall). He threw 5 passes for Atlanta, completed none and was intercepted twice.
  12. Gailey should give Brohm some time with the starting offense. Edwards will never make it thru the season. He got the piss knocked out of him again last night and he only threw eight passes.
  13. If you are referring to my post show me where I dissected QB mechanics. All I said was that Brohms where better. It's called an opinion and this board is full of them.
  14. I couldn't agree more regarding Brohm. His mechanics are much better than Edwards. His set up and delivery is quicker. Edwards threw the ball eight times and still took a beating. Brohm threw the ball twenty one times and except for that first play he was barely touched.
  15. If the staff was absolutely desperate not to have him as the starter they would have made some contingency plans in the event that Favre could not be persuaded to return.
  16. The Vikings now have four QBs on their roster. Someone has to go. Putting Joe Webb on the practice squad would seem like the obvious choice but word out of Minnesota is that they are pretty high on this kid and don't want to risk having him claimed off of waivers. That leaves Jackson and Rosenfels. Jackson signed a 1 year deal worth a little over a million in April. He also let it be known that he is not too happy with the way the organization sent three of his teammates down to Mississippi to persuade Favre to come back. If I'm Buddy Nix I would keep a close eye on this situation. Either Jackson or Rosenfels would be an upgrade for us.
  17. And so it begins.
  18. Ned Braden = Trent Edwards Why? Because he's chickensh!t.
  19. Maybe Edwards should try putting snot on the ball.
  20. Agreed. I don't see how anyone could think that Thigpen has trade value.
  21. Steve Tasker called a hell of a game. With 7:43 to go in the 2nd quarter and the Bills facing 4th and 1, Tasker says " With 32 seconds on the clock you'd like to see the Bills go for it here." Ray Bentley replies "Um Steve...your looking at the play clock." Later, with time winding down in the 2nd, the Bills stuff Washington on a 2nd down run. Steve says "If this were a regular season game Chan Gailey would be spending one of his timeouts." Bentley replies "Um Steve... the Bills spent all of their timeouts." Late in the third, Fitzpatrick is forced out of the pocket and hits Nelson on the run. Tasker says " Both Fitzpatrick and Edwards are much better when they are moving." I wonder if Deangelo Hall would agree.
  22. My stepfather is a full blooded Cayugan Indian and a veteran of the Korean War. That said, I also find the name "Redskins" to be very offensive. However, it's an improvement over their old name, the Washington Spearchuckers.
