The pump on the TD to Brown was critical for Brown to get open. But it wasn't just the pump, if you see when he did fake the with the shoulder pump it temporarily froze the DB which was all Brown needed but then Allen looks to the other side of the field and then comes back and lays a dime. Absolutely next level QB play.

Round 1 Playoff: Colts at Bills - Sat. 1/9 1:05pm

I'm just watching this and basking in it all, soaking it all up. What a pleasure it has been to be a Bills fan this year. Rome made the point that the Bills aren't just happy to be in the playoffs and it ends with Edmunds telling Rome that they are looking to win it all. -
I don't think they will just arbitrarily sit him out for the sake of healing for the following week. I think they will do what they can to get him out on the field but if they don't believe he is the best option then he'll sit. With that said, the Bills are deep at WR and and most likely can manage just fine without him against the Colts. Having Brown back and him looking sharp really helps a good bit.

A, it's not a rush and B, it's not to change things. Stills in their view represents an opportunity to improve the team. That may not necessarily mean for the playoffs, it could be a move for the long-term. Either way, Beane has earned the right to make these personnel decisions especially considering that comparatively speaking since he's taken over, he's been one of the best.

[Misleading Title] Antonio W. Harkens FredEX

Once he planted his food the acceleration to score was pretty impressive. He just seemed to have a lot of pop to his runs yesterday. -
Ken Dorsey or Chad Hall. I wouldn't be surprised if either of the two get promoted to OC. I would be surprised if the Bills went outside of the organization to fill the role.

The Bills are a juggernaut. There is no team in the NFL that is playing as well as the Bills. The Ravens are playing really well but their quality of opponents haven’t been as tough as the Bills and Buffalo’s offense is tougher to stop than Baltimore’s. I think these are the two hottest teams in the NFL.

Can we trust Josh Norman in a playoff game?
Magox replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He played a savvy game today. That bump he had as the WR was breaking that led him to fall and get the pick six and the 4th down play where he sat on the sticks and got the pass breakup were sublime. oh and the 4th down PI in the end zone was Chinsy. He brings a lot of swag to the D and I’m glad he’s part of the crew. -
I love Jim Kelly but he was never this good.

I think it’s a separate question if he should have let him go or if he let go a really good QB. Jimmy G plays intelligently and is mobile. He’s a solid starting QB but I don’t think he is top 15. I think he’s in that 16-20 range which is solid.
-
Really good is a stretch. He’s a decent QB that can manage a good game. Shanahan wouldn’t let loose a really good QB. He thinks he can find a better option.

That’s a pretty rough take but I’d have to agree with some of your points. He definitely did succeed in large part because of his physical attributes and his competitiveness. Now that he has been hampered with injuries and Father Time his bad mechanics are no longer hidden by those great attributes he had. He could serve as a backup QB but the question is will he want to retire as one? His outsized personality makes it tough for me to believe he would accept being one but if he could mentally accept that and decide to contribute as one then he could be an asset, as a backup.

It all starts at the top. Without McDermott and Beane, we never get Allen or the team we have today. He’s been aggressive, bold when he removed players that he didn’t believed fit in with the organization at their cost despite a lot of teeth gnashing from some fans. He’s methodical and has surrounded himself with a lot of talented NFL player personnel people around him, The Bills may have 4-5 GM candidates in the organization.

It’s debatable how much Stills can contribute for this playoff run, but as creative as Daboll is and Josh wanting everyone to get involved I could definitely see him getting a few targets. Gabe does struggle getting separation in man coverage and has had a couple incidents with deep passes where he didn’t get himself in better position to make the play but he has been a solid WR for this team and so far a really good 4th round find. Has a knack for getting open and scoring TD’s. And that catch against Miami was big and spectacular.

Stefon Diggs named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Magox replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His top end speed is pretty good but it’s his acceleration and change of direction that is truly special. As soon as he caught that he changed direction of field and put it into high gear from the get go. JC never had a shot. -
The only thing that makes me think it wasn’t designed the way it played out was the positioning of Moss on his block. You would think that he would have provided an inside path as opposed to allowing the defender to go outside on him which is where Allen rolled into. Luckily Allen is super athletic and was able to quickly separate but that play with a different QB would have had the defender grasping at him from much closer distance not allowing the pass to have been thrown.

Very well deserved. Allen was in the conversation and was deserving as well but Diggs performance was astounding. -
You at least did throw a caveat by saying that it was plausible and within the realm that the Bills could finish with around a 12-4 record.
-
Ask Biscuit about his take on how Allen was no better than EJ Manuel because their first 2 year stats according to him were essentially the same. 😂

The Patriots and Denver had a few nice chunk yardage plays on the ground but it wasn’t the sort of consistent 5-10 yard runs that continued to move the chains or leave Them in manageable third down situations. The run defense was fine and the pass defense was top notch. The defense is playing really good complimentary football with the offense.

I have felt that way for years...... Over the past month, something has changed. As great as Josh had been throughout the year he has taken it to a whole new level. The game has significantly slowed down for him, sort of like Neo in the Matrix. He just has such a remarkable feel and awareness about him that I personally believe the Bills are playing the best football in the league and I believe this team has supreme confidence in themselves.
