  1. When you thought you couldn't love this team anymore.
  2. I'm mesmerized by this video. I feel like this is looking at a Where's Waldo pic....the more you look through the varying players the more you see how much fun each one of them are having. Beas doing his warmups without a limp. Stefon doing cross overs. Gabe doing Karate Kicks. Josh Allen playing pretend basketball with Gabe guarding him and so on and so on. This is one super loose group.
  3. Beasley moving around with no limp and Stefon looks like he has a nice cross over dribble.
  4. The biggest difference between this Bills team and the team that faced the Rams is that they now don't take the foot off the pedal when they are up. They absolutely crushed Miami's spirits, that team straight up gave up midway through the third quarter.
  5. Depends. As long as Josh Allen plays the offense will always at the very least be pretty good even with a bad OC, but with a good OC the offense will be a juggernaut. Just gotta make sure that we keep surrounding him with a good O line and weapons.
  6. Kind of weak sauce that Colin allowed her to get himself out of the bet.
  7. On offense, run the ball and do a lot of play action and look to burn the clock. On defense, play zone and give Buffalo the underneath stuff and hope that Josh forces passes down the field and makes mistakes.
  8. I don’t even want to know what that’s about. 😂
  9. That last play where he throws the TD to Brown over the top was truly special. It encapsulates almost the entire spectrum of his improvement all in one play. His pre read of the play was perfect, he recognizes that it's going to be a 0 blitz. He starts off the play audibling and changing blocking assignments so that each potential rusher is accounted for. McKenzie and Moss are lined up and fortunately they perfectly did their jobs. Then Josh recognizes during the play that Byron is playing off Diggs and he manipulates him by using a shoulder pump fake that causes Byron to slightly bite on what potentially looked like a slant pattern by Brown. Brown does a fantastic job also selling the slant and once Byron bit on the fake slant he was beat. Then Josh looks off to the other side of the field even though there was no safety that he needed to manipulate and then comes back and throws an absolute dime to Brown to finish the play for a TD. It had it all, pre reading of the snap, instructing players to go to their blocking assignments, recognition of 0 blitz, manipulating defenders with his eyes and pump fakes and then the perfect the pass to beat it over the top. This was perfect.
  10. Personally, I think they have to see it through until they have come to the conclusion that he is not a franchise QB.
  11. They have work to do, no doubt about it.
  12. I think a lot depends on who New England’s QB will be next year. I think they go after one of the better available QB’s in the off-season and if they get let’s say a Matthew Stafford or Matt Ryan then I think they are the main challenger in the division.
  13. Not really. They are strong against the run and have been very weak against the pass over the last half of the season. They also give up a lot of pass plays and have no good man to man corners. I would expect a lot of zone defense from them. As long as we can not allow Buckner to disrupt things sort of like Cam Hayward did in the first half of the Pittsburgh we should be able to carve them up.
  14. He did torch him but without Josh Allen’s shoulder pump fake it wouldn’t have been that easy. The shoulder pump fake by Josh caused Byron to bite for the slant and once that happened it was over.
  15. He said that they identified weaknesses of Josh in the offseason through the technology they were using that they haven't even began to address and this offseason they plan on working on what they found. That's exciting and scary.
  16. As they should be. He's only been an NFL QB for one year, they invested all this capital and they should surround him with talent. He's got enough tools to be a decent NFL starter if they play their cards right.
  17. Yes they have, but there are some tough decisions coming up such as Daryl Williams and Milano. These guys will most likely command over $10M a year.
  18. I say CB. The most potent weapon on offense aside from the QB are the WR's and if you can essentially shut down the top weapon then it opens up a lot of things that the defense can do.
  19. Thanks for finding this. You can see some of the posters who like to fancy themselves as experts really show that they truly know football much less than they like to pretend they know football. I battled these clowns for years on this board and they had this undying belief that Beane screwed things up by dismantling the previous regime's team in order to build the team they saw fit and that McDermott was Jauron part deux. Remember that? Beane and McDermott as I said then had every right to build the franchise as he envisioned. This was their chance at building a franchise and just like Sinatra They were going to do it their way. They cut bait with Watkins, Dareus, Legendary JAG Jonathan Williams, Darby and others and these guys cried every step of the way. They were certain to attempt to remind everyone on this board anytime any of those players had good plays that it was the wrong decision. History has shown that the McBeane made the correct decisions and not one person can come close to attempting to justify that any of those players were worth the value that they got on the open market with the possible exception of Darby. But even Darby, these guys know how to find capable DB's that fit the system and play at a high level. And remember when some posters used to call McDermott - Jauron? That he was a "conservative" coach? I argued it's not that he is a conservative coach it's that you have to justify your play calling based off the team and trust with the players you have at that moment. Of course you are going to be more conservative with your play calling if you have less talent on that side of the ball. As the talent improved, guess what happened? The play calling and boldness opened up along with the tolerance for risk. For crying out loud, we did a fake punt in NE, in prime time, early in the game. Yeah, those posters were wrong, McDermott isn't conservative, he just makes decisions that are appropriate for the team he has to play with, whatever that may be. I was a big fan of Beane right from the beginning. I can't find that article for anything but it was one that was written about him as soon as he was hired. It was a detailed piece on him on how methodical his decision making process is and after I read that piece I was convinced that this is the SORT OF GM that we needed. Wasn't a guarantee that it would work out because at the end of the day he needed to be able to evaluate talent and make the appropriate decisions with those evaluations. He also has done a phenomenal job in surrounding himself with great talent evaluators which shows you how sure he is of himself, guys that could be called on to take his job if he faltered. He in my book is the best GM in the league, he showed it in year one and he continues to do so to this very day. I am thankful that he and McDermott have built this culture of success. They get Buffalo and they get football.
  20. I'm truly grateful for everything the Bills have done for us this year. That was an amazing blog post by Dawkins, the guy is clearly very intelligent not just intellectually but emotively as well. I loved every part of that blog and his description of Diggs and Allen were both spot on. That's the description I gave to my dad the other day about Josh that the game has slowed down for him that it's like he's NEO now in the Matrix, dodging bullets. That's exactly what I said to my brother and dad. Also how that Josh is learning things so quickly in real time. You can literally see him processing and improving DURING the game. I just love this team.
  21. I just don't see the Bills making any significant FA moves this year. Priority one is managing the cap for the eventual huge cap hit of Josh Allen and re signing the most critical players to the success of this team, along with having continued success through the draft.
  22. I remember warming up to Josh Allen the week leading up to the draft even though I really wanted Baker followed by Rosen. The more I kept seeing video of Allen the more I realized that the analysis that he was inaccurate was off. A lot of it was the sort of vertical low % plays they ran and his bad mechanics. Watching him on those broken extended plays and rollouts I thought “man, this guy can make plays that very few others can on this planet”. His rookie year with the Bills he wasn’t ready to be a drop back passer. But what jumped out was his competitiveness and athleticism. The guy had a burning desire to make plays. I knew after that Dolphins game which I happened to go to in Miami that we had found our franchise QB. The swag he brought to the team was exhilarating and he improved his processing of the game as the season wore down improving his passing numbers. Then he worked his ass off in the off season and improved his mechanics. He showed steady progression through the year and my belief was that we had a very gifted player albeit still raw who is ultra competitive, very intelligent and that is committed to being the best player he could be. That combination gave me a lot of confidence that he would continue to ascend and watching him with all those comeback wins, high 4th quarter QB rating was just another data point that affirmed my belief that he was going to be something special during his 2nd year. I knew he would come out strong this year and believed he was going to be borderline pro bowl level but never did I think he would come out this good this soon. He is just seeing everything right now and if defenses confuse him early on he has shown the mental ability to diagnose what the defense is doing after a few series to then just torch them later on, like what we just saw in Miami and Pittsburgh. How many times have we seen an opposing defense just suffocate our offense and the game turn around in an instant? Not often. The guy is like an AI learning machine. An equation he hasn’t seen early on may confound him but after a few series he diagnoses the problem and learns from it, in game. That’s next level QB’ing and there are only about 5-8 guys who can do that. He is only going on to get better, the OC will give him more leeway to have more input in game planning and changing calls at the line and he will just dominate the mental aspect of this game like what he is doing now. I think the Bills like Favre said will dominate the AFC East for the next decade.
  23. One of many good moves. Trading away Marcel and Watkins were very unpopular with some of the fan base and now it’s indisputable that they were the right moves. Same with Phillips and Shaq, even though they produced and were fan favorites they weren’t worth what some in the open market were willing to pay. Now we gotta see what they do with Milano. Personally I’d love to see them sign him to another deal, just not sure they will do it. We have an OT that we need to sign and that probably ends up more of a priority.
  24. I like the Josh Norman quote, where he essentially says that the team likes to have a lot of fun, but during practice, it's all business and everyone is working to perfect their craft.
