You know why everything they did on offense looked easy and everything we did looked difficult? Scheme and game planning. It's almost as if the game plan wasn't to key in on their two best play makers in Kelce and Hill. These guys were open all game long, you would of thought that they would have tried to really key in on them. It's as if the defensive game plan was - This is the way we line up on defense and our defense is good enough to get some stops against your team. - And on offense, it appeared that we were still wanting to hit those deeper intermediate throws, which is where there safeties were with tight man coverage and our O-line just couldn't handle their rush. When we did decide to hit the shorter crossing/slant patterns things opened up. That should have been the game plan on offense. We were out schemed. The coaches had a great year this year and they deserve a lot of credit but they need to retool to beat the Chiefs. I also wouldn't be surprised if next year the Bills commit to running the ball more than they did this year.

This was one of the most enjoyable seasons watching football for me in a very long time and I'm thankful of that and nothing can take away all that joy that I experienced the past few months. The game sucked and it was frustrating from a fan perspective and I'm sure the team is extremely disappointed with their execution and game planning but they will be back and they will be better. Thank you Bills for such an enjoyable season, you put a lot of joy in life these past 20 weeks.

There weren’t many people who were on board with the trade. I thought it made perfect logical sense and for me it was one of the defining moves made by Beane early in his career as GM of the Bills. Highly unpopular move that took a lot of chutzpah and he pulled the trigger despite all the teeth gnashing from many in the fan base. He has been unequivocally vindicated with the move.

I think this is part of the key offensively, to early on soften up their defense with the short passes and check downs. They will be forced to start coming down and that is when they can begin punishing them with the crossing patterns down the field. Josh has to remain patient and not force the ball into areas when the shorter stuff is there. If he can do that then I expect the Bills to put up a lot of points.

NFL Films Turning Point - The Pick 6

I've watched that interception and run back more times than I care to recount as all of you have but watching this slow motion vid of seeing each Bills player celebrating in their own way was something special to see. The players were so exhilarated with Taron going down the field knowing he was going to score. One of the top 10 moments of all time for the Bills. -
I agree with his take. I do think that Josh put on additional pressure on himself going into this game and tried to force passes that weren't there. He also missed on a few passes that were by his standards very easy to make. Simply put, he just didn't have a good game. I think KC will mix it up and try to put pressure on him and attempt to take away the deeper stuff. If that's the case then he'll need to soften up their defense with the short to mid range stuff and as the game progresses and he's getting into the feel of the game he can begin to punish them with the deeper stuff. He's got to hit his check downs this game because I have a feeling that it will be there for him the entire evening.

It's not hyperbole, they are discussing what they have heard around the league. No one is saying that Josh has the QB cred that Mahomes does because he hasn't accomplished as much. What they are saying is that based off of his talent level and what he is beginning to achieve, when you couple that with his amazing physical talents which arguably are more pronounced than Mahomes, that some of their sources around the league are beginning to wonder if Josh could be the elite QB of the league over the next 10 years. That is a fair discussion and musings for people to have. You guys are completely misunderstanding what they are saying.

Bill, I think this whole experience ever since McD/Beane ran the show has been one hell of a ride. We've made the playoffs in 3 out of the 4 years, have some really good playmakers on defense and drafted an elite level franchise QB who will very likely be in at least several more of these AFC championship games over his career.

We are lucky to have him. Maybe that trade with KC wasn't so bad after all. Josh Allen, White and Edmunds, not too shabby.

Why this game will be different than week 6
Magox replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to mention a lot of the new defensive linemen were somewhat new to each other and were still figuring how to play with each other as a unit. The team defense looks much different now than it did then. With the exception of the Colts game, ever since the Arizona game the defense has consistently been a top 8 unit in the league. -
Texans believe Watson has played his last snap for the team

What? Are you smoking crack? -
I love that video. It’s a stroll down memory lane of a historic year for the Bills. No matter how it ends I will always be grateful of the joy the Buffalo Bills gave me these past 5 months.

Those who think that the players are emotionless and are a bunch of robot-like players who don't listen in to what the talking heads are saying are deluding themselves. Of course some of the players watch what they are saying, they are human and they want to hear good things said about them and when they see that many of the "experts" are chalking these victories as something that the other team did wrong and not what they did to cause that, they take that as a sleight. And you are crazy if you don't think that what these players saw isn't being transmitted on over to the rest of the team and that is used as additional fuel. People take things personally, especially some of the highest competitors on the planet. Michael Jordan took everything personally and I mean everything. So even though what the talking heads have been saying have been somewhat frustrating from a fan perspective it will only add fuel to the Bills. I like where this is heading. 100%, for some of us that is part of the fan experience. Enjoying sports media say great things about this historically great Bills team we have is enjoyable.

The Bills are truly in a position to go after BPA aside from QB with their high draft picks. With that said I would love to see the Bills go after DE and DT as the biggest pressing needs. TE would be the biggest need on offense. More depth and competition on the OL, LB and CB's. RB could use a possible upgrade but if the Bills did this they would have to trade one of their RB's.

He’s not the MVP of the team but make no mistake this defense is much better with him on the field.

Would Josh Allen ever consider a team friendly contract?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a $500M 10 year contract -
The running game has to be there vs KC this week.

I do think we need to run enough just to keep the defense honest enough to not solely sell out against the pass.
