Just a few days ago I would have thought that Bernard would have been the last one to return out of that group, the fact that he may be available for this week is crazy. I view that the distinct possibility of Taron, Douglas, Dodsen and Bernard playing this weekend as very encouraging news in the injury front. If they all return we are very near full strength on the defensive front.

Kansas City at Buffalo in the Divisional Round!

Yeah, what will matter to anyone is when it counts we beat them when it matters, specially when it counts. -
I certainly wouldn’t say that Elam had proven himself but he has shown the ability to make big plays in big games and that is something to take into consideration.

Rightly or wrongly, anyone who thinks McDermott is anywhere near the hot seat is either: - Completely delusional in understanding his job safety with the Bills as a coach or - Has it in for McDermott and wishes for him to be replaced. He’s not going anywhere, Pegula loves the relationship with McD, he trusts him and is very comfortable working with him, not to mention that McD has taken the Bills to the playoffs 5 out of 6 years and has won the division 4 straight years.

Steelers @ Bills. Monday, January 15th at 4:30pm.

It was bad, 38 mph sustained winds with gusts around 60 mph. Josh was able to throw 10 - 15 yarders effectively, in fact we didn't begin throwing the ball until the 2nd half when we came to a realization that he could make the throws. I think the offensive game plan will consist of tons of running with some play action and I believe the play action could be very effective. -

For me, that’s the key to the game. The mentality has got to be one of toughness and nastiness on both sides of the ball. Pound the rock, and be highly efficient in the play action pass game. Josh can throw 20 yarders effectively in 20-30 mph winds, Rudolph cannot and that is one of the advantages. The other advantage is Allen’s ability to run it very effectively. They should look for him to run it 10-15 this game. At the end of the day the game will be won in the trenches and Allen’s unique abilities. -

This Bills team is built better for bad weather games than in any time in the past that I can remember. The defensive line is stout, I imagine Linval will be called up to beef up the Defensive line, the Bills will look to do a lot of running and play action. 23-13 Bills -
Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME

That was just the 1st quarter. The interior O-line was much better in pass protection after that initial let down. -

Lenny has fresh legs, is a power back, can block, really good pass catcher and is a known player to produce during the playoffs. We should totally make the switch. -

I had suspected that Diggs has been playing through an injury, for me this confirms it. The week before he showed up on the injury report with a back injury he played 98% of the snaps and the week of the injury he played below 50% of the snaps. He has progressively increased his snap count and I know this is an unpopular take, I thought he was getting a little more separation this last game. Barring no setbacks he probably will get around 75% of the snaps this coming game and if the Bills win should be back to close to normal in about 3 weeks. I do think he will play his best game since the injury against the Dolphins. -
Just reading his body language and what he is saying, I think he believes he will be playing in very short order at the level he was playing before his injury. He sounds very confident.
-
It truly is odd. He is playing less snaps and again this is anecdotal but he appears to often waive himself off the field. He doesn't seem to get much separation on the balls thrown his way and he isn't being targeted as much. It doesn't make sense that all of a sudden you'd hit a wall. I think it's some sort of lingering injury that hasn't been reported, we've heard of such injuries with Gabe, Beasley and even Elam that weren't prominently mentioned to come find out much later on that they were playing through some sort of injury. If the Diggs we all have seen over the past few years doesn't come back for these last two games and playoffs then I don't see how we can make it that deep into the playoffs.
-
Those questions were terrible, almost in a tone as if they are writing off his season as a growing pains sort of year. Play has dropped off some over past few weeks but overall I’m encouraged to what he is going to bring and I think he has a critical role to play if the Bills advance deep into the playoffs.

Does the Bills Fan Base Need to Cut Miller Some Slack?
Magox replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
Very few players are productive the year after an ACL, we saw it with Tre, Tre was a shadow of himself last year and began to start regaining his form before his most recent injury. I don't believe you'll see him make too many plays this year, I do believe next year he will be better but obviously nowhere near worth what he's going to cost us. Very unfortunate injury, the worst possible outcome that could have come, happened. -
Here you can see his percentage of snaps played https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/2020-snap-counts.htm He's already a guy that can do 8 sacks a year+ if given the same opportunities as a normal NFL starting DE.
-
That's because you aren't thinking properly and have a bad habit of not reading the entire posts that you are responding to. His rookie year in 2020 he played 27% of the total snaps Following year in 2021 he played 30% It wasn't until 2022 his third year that he began finding his form, he played 35% of the snaps and got 6.5 sacks. This year he has played 36% of the snaps with two games to go and he has missed two games and he has 6.5 sacks. The post that you were responding to qualified the statement that if Epenesa is given the opportunity to play on at least 60% of the snaps he would be a 7 to 11 sack a guy kind of player. The facts of his play and stats shows that statement to be a very likely outcome.
-
He's a good player who if given an opportunity to start with playing 60% of the snaps, he'll be a consistent 7-11 sack guy a year. He's got decent burst and good technique plus he's gotten pretty good at tipping passes with that 6'6 frame of his. I suspect he'll get anywhere $7M - $10 M a year contract. Pass rushers typically come in at a premium but we did get Floyd who is more proven for an even cheaper amount, even though I do believe GM's factored in his age.

Jaylen Waddle - high ankle sprain (updated - ruled out vs Ravens)

Maybe, but if even so he undoubtedly will be affected in his cuts and route running ability. -
Josh Allen now tied with Troy Aikman for career Passing TDs
Magox replied to Billzgobowlin's topic in The Stadium Wall
Barring injuries, Josh will easily finish top 8 and possibly top 5, depending on how long he plays. -
I don't know what football some of you have been watching, he played two solid games before he was deactivated and this past game he was monster for us. Two huge pass pressures, the more impressive one out of the two was one of the plays where Oliver got the sack. Poona did a great spin move, beat his guy cleanly and forced the QB to run right into Oliver's arms. Plus he had another run stuff right at the line of scrimmage, I think I saw him make more plays this game than Settle had made all year. Poona was a really good player with Seattle and the past three games he's suited up he's played well. He should be starting until Daquan comes back.
