Everyone that wanted TT gone, we told you
Big Curt replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The hate for Tyrod is unbelievable by some fans. I agree that he's not a franchise QB and probably will never be one. I was all for him being replaced this season. However, for a QB who was serviceable and led us to the playoffs to still be disrespected, says alot about this fan base. The Bill's QB play is significantly worse, not just worse. But maybe the worst in modern history and fans are still saying that they'd rather watch this abomination than Tyrod. For goodness sake, Peterman didn't throw that Hail Mary because he was afraid to throw an interception. He's mentally broken. Derek Anderson is off the street and Josh Allen is raw and not ready to be a starting NFL QB. -
Watkins has 5 receptions for 80 yards and 2 TDs. We definitely can use that production.

Would Tyrod have won the Texan & Indy games - and -
Big Curt replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe he would have won the Texans game. The Colts game was such a blowout and the Bills were blown out in games even when he started. So, they'd still lose to the Colts. This thread is pointless by the way. He's a brownie... -

Mike Williams, Aaron Maybin, to name a few. He's nowhere near the worst 1st round draft pick. I'm just saying... -

SI - Josh Allen, Thrown to the Wolves
Big Curt replied to TheElectricCompany's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Nathan Peterman would have stayed the starter last year, would the Bills have made the playoffs? The answer is no. I believe Tyrod isn't a franchise QB and had to be replaced, but the QB takes the blame when things go wrong and the credit when things go right. The Bengals beating the Ravens was a lucky break, but the Bills still had to win to get in and they did. The QB is the leader of the team. That means he led them into the playoffs. -
Yes. You are correct. Beane created this cap problem in the short term. The issues everyone had with Whaley is he didn't plan for the future. Beane is planning for the future and people are upset. This is his first full year in this position and most football teams take three years to improve. Some do it in one, but this cupboard is bare in talent so it'll probably take the full three. The Bills had one of the worst teams to EVER make the playoffs last year. They needed many improvements in 2018 and were lucky enough to barely get in the playoffs in 2017. The 2017 team had many, many flaws and this team has a worse roster. This is basically a complete rebuild. This year is/was inevitable, it just came a year too late.

This is a moot point. Every team works under the same rules. The Bills front office is trying to get from under all the dead cap space and are trying to field a competitive team. There was no money to go out and sign better offensive linemen. This season is/was doomed to fail. We as fans and the team just has to take its lumps and make the best out of a bad situation. in 2019, the Bills will be out of the salary cap prison. They will have a QB on a rookie contract and will be able to fill holes in the free agency market. Unfortunately, we have to trust the process...

3rd Super Bowl loss sends Tim McVeigh over the edge
Big Curt replied to NeckMeat182's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I read the entire article. It upset me when the facts of the Branch Davidians were false. The article states that the government set the compound on fire, but it was David Coresh who killed his own people because he didn't want to be taken alive. I can't take this article seriously because of the political agenda it's trying to push. If a person allows a football team to contribute to the murders of 168 men, women and children, than that person has major issues. The Bills winning a Super Bowl wouldn't have prevented that. It's like him saying the Bills lost so I'm about to blow up a daycare center. I don't buy that logic. -
He's a rookie and he has to learn. I saw what I thought, a young QB with potential who made mistakes. This thing of rookie QB's coming into the league and being great right away is unfortunate. Remember Savior Peterman threw 5 ints his first start and people were still saying give him a chance. Just be patient and watch what he does moving forward.

This is T.O.'s choice to make and I will respect his choices. I guess my opinion is not for just the player. it's for the friends, family and fans of the player. The ceremony is a celebration of this person's career. No one is gonna care if he was a bad teammate and It allowed the player the stage to tell their truth and wrap up his career. I just feel like he's losing an opportunity to express himself and give his story of why he's done and said some of the things he said. I look at this as a missed opportunity, and I think he's ultimately hurting himself and further alienating himself from the NFL family. He'll also lose out on any post career job with the NFL and he'll need the job to pay his financial problems.

Hard Knocks 2018: The Cleveland Browns
Big Curt replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why are people talking about distractions? The Browns are 1-31 the past two seasons. They can't get any worse. -
Lamar Jackson will be a perennial Pro Bowler. Whomever drafts him will be a very luck and happy team. He's nothing like Tyrod Taylor. Actually...Their both Black and they are both mobile QB's. Other than that the similarities end. Lamar Jackson won the Heisman in 2016 and in 2017 had better numbers. he's a special talent and he's only getting better. The Bills wont draft him.
-
People in this thread are so pissed off with Tyrod Taylor and his lack of passing yards and continue compare him to Lamer Jackson. Lamar Jackson Played under Patrino and his stats improved every year. Don't underestimate this man. He can play and if he is groomed under Tom Brady for the next year or two, plus with Josh McDaniel's being the Head Coach in waiting, this is a major possibility.

Was The Tyrod Taylor Era a Success?
Big Curt replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look...We're like the fan base that is a 4 but complains when a girl is a 7. Our expectations are too high. We complain when players talk trash about our city and we tell them if you don't like it here to leave. Then we get players who love the community but we still push them away. Tyrod was a success. WE MADE THE PLAYOFFS! Tyrod was able too successfully manage games and didn't lose games. Let this man move on and stop talking trash. He wasn't a franchise QB. How many of those actually exist in the league. 5, 10 maybe? I'm proud of him and this team. He was the constant professional, hard worker, teammate, he has been great for this team. Now he moves on. -
I wish you wish you well with all your endeavors. It may actually make sense to keep him for another year as a bridge QB or trade him, I won't get into another Tyrod thread. Stop the hate. It's freaking still February...

Thompson running free.. thanks Romo!!!
Big Curt replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The hate on this board for Tyrod Taylor is insane. I'll be the first to admit he's not a franchise QB. He definitely has his limitations and he's not gonna be the starting QB next season. However, it's a combination of play calling, receivers getting open and receivers catching the ball. How may drops did we have yesterday? Was it Taylor's fault that that 39 yard pass play to Shady was called back for a holding penalty? To say that he doesn't make great throws is not true. He misses just like everyone else. May of his incompletions were him throwing the ball away. Then people want to say he takes too many sacks. Tyrod Taylor is one on the reasons we even made the playoffs. The Bills require low turnovers and win by defense. He did his job this season. It's extremely frustrating watching him play at times and he's good as gone. He had his chance to prove his ability but he's simply not good enough. With this being said, I appreciate his contribution to this team and the community and I wish him well in the future. -
Tyrod is as good as gone next year. He's not the future...he's the present! We're presently in the playoffs!

DL and LB groups are more pressing need than QB
Big Curt replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I also agree about the DL and the LB group. How ever QB is the most pressing need. I for one am tired of the constant complaining about Tyrod Taylor on this board. I agree that he's not the QB the Bills need now or in the future, but the constant cries for Peterman especially after his 5 pick game and his concussion makes me sick and I'm tired if hearing it. Peterman s simply not ready. Most Rookie QB's aren't ready as rookies. The DL especially needs a major upgrade. It's the worst group this team has right now. In order to beat the Pats, pressure has to come from four and drop seven. The Bills simply are unable to do that right now with the team presently constructed. The LB's don't add any pass rush either. Lo Alexander is not in the right defense to utilize his skills. -
I think he's a good young player. The people on this board acts like he's Luke Keukley. I agree that he has some potential for a rookie but thats about it.

I personally don't see the hype. He made a play vs the Raiders. A gift interception and everyone is all giddy about him. I saw an average game by an average player.
