You joke, but you might be on to something there.

But who is going to push Allen in the a$$ on the QB shove play?

“Just be aware that the secret is that Allen has a serious shoulder injury involving his CV joint. But don’t worry, it won’t require surgery.”

Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
vincec replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Actually, I don’t think any of these apply to the Bills. 1. Injuries haven’t been bad compared with other teams (like Miami). 2. Getting a DC is a possibility, but it’s McDermott’s play calling that I would miss. He is calling the defense much more aggressively than Frazier did and I think it’s really starting to come together with Douglas at CB. They’re getting a lot of pressure, sacks, and turnovers but still not giving up many big plays. That’s a good combination. 3. They have a lot of experience on the coaching staff. -

Isn’t that the Gambler’s fallacy? That previous results will impact the current event? -
Can we bring the Beasley/Mckenzie role back already?
vincec replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unless they move away from the 2 TE approach, that role is going to be Kincaid’s. That’s why they drafted him. What they really need in this offense are WRs who punish teams from bringing extra safeties in the box. Ideally, big guys who can’t be covered 1v1 or burners who can take the top off the defense. I agree with other posters that this should be a draft focus, but if you look at who the Bills have under contract on defense next year I think you’ll see that most of the draft will need to be devoted to the defense unless you want that side of the ball to fall off a cliff. -

They play so much 2 TE with big personnel and run the ball that he is getting phased out of the offense. Not good. -

I think Fournette would replace Johnson. I think Johnson has played well, but Fournette really looked sharp to me in the few carries he got a couple of weeks ago. If he’s in his old form then he needs to play. I think people are forgetting how good he was/is. I think Murray plays because of his pass blocking and, to a lesser degree, the QB shove. -

It’s on the Bills official website https://www.buffalobills.com -
He looked very good on the plays I was watching him. He and Oliver are going to be a load vs Miami.

2023 Defensive Save % Rankings (Like Baseball)
vincec replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t see how you can add up long stretches of seasons and get anything coherent. Probably 90% of Buffalo’s defensive personnel and the play caller are different from 2017 to 2023. So how can you add those numbers together to get a picture of anything meaningful? -
I see the majority of posts bashing Wilson, but I totally agree that he is getting shafted. The team signed a deal, now want to change it so that they can make sure they have the least possible cap hit when they dump him, and Wilson is supposed to agree? 😂 He may not be playing like he was in his prime but I’m sure he’s playing his heart out and doesn’t deserve this.

I think it was actually Rousseau and Miller, if I remember correctly.

Besides that… 😂

Was their pass rush great? Or did our protection break down today?
vincec replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
The way everyone broke through there almost made me think it was a screen. If not, then it’s ridiculous. -
False. You can watch any in market or nationally broadcast NFL game live with the package. Since I am in NC and the Browns-Jax game was on, as mentioned above, I watched the first 5 or 6 minutes of the Bills game on NFL plus until CBS switched over.

Or NFL+, which had the entire game.

At the end of this season, McDermott will be retained as HC and the following things will happen: 1. McDermott will hand over the DC position to someone else so that he can focus on HC. I wish it would be someone from outside the organization, but it will probably be Eric Washington. 2. Bills will replace Matthew Smiley as ST coach. 3. Joe Brady will be hired as full time OC. McDermott back. All new staff from start of this season.

Chance of Playoffs now, according to NYT simulator
vincec replied to Ray Stonada's topic in The Stadium Wall
His record in one score games in Buffalo is 24-24 in the regular season, and 2-3 in the playoffs, which seems reasonable. But I think the concern is that in the last three years, when the Bills have supposedly had his best teams, it’s 8-14 in the regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs. You would not expect that record from a top 5 NFL team. So, either the Bills have just gotten really unlucky the last few years or something is wrong. I’m not sure the problem is McDermott necessarily, but he is in charge of figuring it out. -
My personal favorite is Steve Christie hitting a 41 yarder, down 2 points, at the end of regulation, in the sleet, vs Tennessee in the playoffs. Unfortunately, you know what came on the ensuing kickoff so it’s completely washed away by history. Incidentally, it seems appropriate today to remember that on that play Dehaven wanted the Bills to run another play so that they could kick the FG with the last snap of the game but was overruled by Wade Phillips in another dubious HC game management decision. So, this kind of crap is not unique to McDermott.

Miami is more consistent. Maybe that means they are better coached, but they are not better talent wise. If the Bills play their "A" game, then the Dolphins can't beat them, IMO. So, you're saying there is a chance?!? -
What’s makes it really strange is that Bills have a money QB, which is one of the things you usually associate with teams that are good in close games. In Allen’s defense, he does leave the field with the lead a lot.

I’d say Douglas and White are pretty much trade offs, but Joseph is no replacement for Jones who is far more active and, of course, there is no one even close to Milano on the roster. The defense will play hard, but it’s going to take 30+ points minimum to win that game, IMO. And even that might not be enough.
