  1. It's not going to happen. RW is just not going to bring in a ego like either of these two guys after the problems he had with Donahoe.
  2. I thought Corner has been playing the nickel with the first team in preseason. Why do you see him as a dime? Who is the nickel?
  3. Stupar, Schouman and Fine are all mediocre TEs. None of them are championship caliber starters. What's the big deal who we keep, really? I think that it must have been very close between Denney and Copeland, but again, neither one are championship caliber players so they are both stopgaps, IMO. The one that surprised me was Scott instead of Chambers. Chambers was a decent backup, not great, but I just never heard anything about Scott in the preseason that lead me to believe he might make the squad.
  4. I can't believe that no one has referenced Hitler's rant from the movie Downfall yet.
  5. It's interesting to hear this. With Schonert's offense struggling, I was reminded of how Sam Wyche's (his former coach and no-huddle author) offense struggled during his final years as Tampa's coach. A major criticism then was that the offense was too complicated and that things needed to be simplified. Turk's offense looks more similar to the Sam Wyche version that Jim Kelly's in execution and intent. It's also funny to hear this when there has been so much criticism of Jauron's previous offensive coordinators, especially Steve Fairchild, that his offense's were TOO simple and vanilla.
  6. Only if Lindel makes them.
  7. Practice is overrated. The critical thing is determining who our 3th string DBs and DLs are going to be.
  8. Yeah, too bad they only make plays against the opponents 2nd and 3rd stringers...
  9. Well, next week the "it's just preseason" excuse will be gone. I'm sue that the Bills apologists will come up with some new ones though.
  10. If my aunt had b#*ls, would she be my uncle?
  11. Well, this team DEFINITELY looks ready to make a playoff run.
  12. The drop off from Van Miller to Murphy is precipitous.
  13. Hitting on all cylinders.
  14. Stupar-man. Where are his supporters now?
  15. Better than the guy who had a web-cam pointed at his 1980 TV set showing the Packers game?
  16. Interesting. Now this makes sense.
  17. Why don't the ticket holders in danger of default just re-sell their tickets to one of the 10,000 to 20,000 people still on the waiting list? I'm sure that they could recoup most if not all of their money and still hold onto the ticket rights for when times turn around economically. They could probably use the $$$ right now anyway. Just put an ad in the paper. I'm sure that there will be lots of offers.
  18. There are not enough experienced linemen on the roster to do it this season, but I agree with you about this. He will be gone by opening game next season unless he plays well at LT.
  19. It looks like Marshall has been watching guys like Cutler and Peters. If you are loud, whiny, childish and self centered enough you will eventually be traded to a contender and get a new big $ contract. Apparently, the Jets have been watching too.
  20. I was actually thinking of Nelson as a wide out in goal line situations, not as a traditional TE. I would probably use Stupar as the blocking TE in a 3 wide alignment. He probably needs to alternate with Schouman for the first few games until he establishes that he is better against starting caliber opponents.
  21. That sounds about right. TO, Evans and Reed, obviously, but I would alternate between Parrish, Johnson and Nelson depending on play call and field position, and sometimes we need to go with 3 and a TE to have a more legitimate run threat.' If the Bills want the ball spotted quicker, they should run it to the ref in the middle of the field like Steve Tasker suggested in one of their preseason games. I think that a quick pace to the no-huddle is key. I just can't see TE trying to organize the players and call a play at the LOS on the road in NE. They need to come to the line and go, otherwise they'd be better off huddling, IMO.
  22. I wouldn't do this. I say, put your best players on the field. That doesn't include 2 TEs, which is probably one of our weakest positions. I would play a ton of 3 and 4 WR (where we are deep) and try and manage the pass rush with quick passes, runs, screens, etc. Look at Arizona's offense from last year. I know they had Warner, but they didn't have much of a O-line either. I would also run the no-huddle much more as a hurry-up to really put some pressure on the defense to simplify their schemes and declare what they're doing. Jim Kelly always said that the no-huddle worked best when they were working at a quick pace and he may know a thing or two about the no-huddle.
  23. Buggs has been an aminal in the pre-season. He's earned a spot on the roster, IMO.
  24. I was thinking the same thing. Good thing that nobody told Jim Kelly that you can't pass in Buffalo...
