It paid off having crappy MLBs. Kirksey probably saw the roster and decided that this was the place for him.

Maybe we can swap seventh round picks in 2030 with someone for them.

Connor McGovern Injury ????????????????
vincec replied to Riverboat Ritchie's topic in The Stadium Wall
An OL that has been shaky all training camp, and looked pretty bad vs the Steelers, may lose a starter for the first few weeks of the regular season and people are mocked for being concerned. 😂 -
The other thing that concerned me, which no one is mentioning, is that the starting DL seems unable to generate a pass rush without blitzing or a protection breakdown. They just don’t beat the guys in front of them.

Well that was an absolute crap fest - PostGame thread

He does not have any confidence in his OL. Probably with cause. His running ability is great but he is going to it too quickly. -
Game Day Thread? Bills @ Steelers 8/19

Dodson got steamrolled at the los. And it looked like the parachute came out for Poyer. -
Bills practice Thurs 8/17 starting with McD interview

I thought playing the run was supposed to be Dodson’s strength. He was terrible against the pass last season. -
Practice Wed 8/16 starting with Dorsey interview

How could Kyle Allen and Matt Barkley have possibly “graded out the same”? If that’s the case then I seriously question the grading system. More likely, IMO, is that they really want Allen to win the job so they are talking him up and giving him every opportunity. -
Bills release first official depth chart of 2023

No surprises to me except Settle ahead of Ford. it’s a solid roster except for MLB. I hope that doesn’t hurt them too bad. -
Building the most problematic NFL player 🤣

Just do a Google search for Aaron Rodgers conspiracy theories and you’ll get quite a treasure trove. -
That’s probably his natural position and the Bills may be able to dupe some 3-4 team into a trade, but ultimately you have to beat the guy in front of you, no matter what DL position you play, and Basham doesn’t seem to do that very often.

Like when the NY Giants had Vince Lombardi as OC and Tom Landry as DC.

Former first round picks on our defensive line
vincec replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
In a 3-4 defense, the OLBs are basically the same as Von Miller or Hughes are/were in the 4-3. Bennett-Still-Smerlas-Smith-Talley … a #1 overall, two #2 overalls, and two 2nd round picks. A lot of investment, and for my money, the best defensive front the Bills have ever had. -
Former first round picks on our defensive line

Better than Bennett you think? Bennett was a #2 overall pick and had a much longer track record of success than Paup, who only really had the one great year for the Bills. -
Bills sign Latavius Murray to a one-year deal

Two carries for each of them -
Basically the impression I got too. I understand looking for depth and ST on day 3, but the Williams pick seemed too soon for me. Even so, if the top two picks turn into solid starters it would still be a decent draft, IMO.

Dallas basically flipped a switch at halftime and took the game over. They ran the ball right down the defense’s throat and pitched a second half shutout. To me, this was the most depressing Super Bowl of the four because the Bills didn’t really play like crap, have a million turnovers, lose their starting QB, miss the winning FG, etc. They just ran up against a team that raised their game to a level the Bills could not match. It was hard to find excuses after that game.

Andy Reid is one of the best OCs of all time. Pairing him with Mahomes makes KC incredibly tough, as we can see.

There is one ball. Even if it’s as you say and he’s wide open but Allen is too blind to throw it to him or the play insists than he doesn’t get the ball even if open, going to Knox more means going to Diggs / Davis / slot WR less or running the ball even less with a weak OL. Then you have to believe that Knox can run a wider variety of routes and stay healthy enough to be relied on for a larger portion of the offense, too.

All players would have better production if they were used more. The question of whether they should be is based on whether the team would do better if they were, and that's very subjective.

Not that he isn’t a good player, but if the Bills spent that kind of salary cap space on a CB, this board would melt down.
