    What I don’t understand about this formation is that McDermott has his deep defense in place, then pulls Rousseau and Epenesa off the DL to defend the short/medium passes to the sidelines. But what chance do Rousseau and Epenesa have of stopping a WR from getting open on a sideline route?

    I actually thought the officiating during the referees strike was very good. The college refs pretty much called nothing and let them work it out on the field. The way it should be, IMO.

    That’s an option, but they may figure 80% of Samuels is better than whatever clown would have been in today. Not saying I agree but who are they going to put in, really?

    Jets D is going to smother this offense. They better hope they make some big plays on defense.

    He had some of his usual big misses on deep balls. Those were killers. Also some questionable decisions on when to run/pass. Overall, I’d say below average but I agree that not being to get the WRs open was the real killer.

    Once again, the Bills could not run the clock out because Houston had 3 TOs. They needed to get a first down somehow.

    Since they threw three incomplete passes, then yes, they should have run. Of course, if they had run three times up the middle for little gain, and then Houston kicked the winning FG after the punt (they got the ball in FG range), people would have been crying…

    They’re sitting on those short passes. That’s why they weren’t open all game.

    I think Oliver will always be inconsistent because of his size. It’s just part of the package.
