  1. do you have any evidence(outside of "mother jones") that fracking hurts the environment?
  2. for the hand wringing anti-frackers, it is an elitist mindset to hurt poor people considering energy costs are a big part of their budget. especially since it has been scientifically proven that it doesnt hurt the environment, provides jobs and low cost energy
  3. all the more reason to hold them in contempt.
  4. why protest at a football game? those attending (just guessing) dont really give a rat's a$$ about the cause du-jour.
  5. it is now almost impossible to escape those jackasses. sports used to be an outlet , a place to escape for 3-4 hours. seems nothing is sacred anymore.
  6. i bought into rex, and havent totally given up yet, but a trivial thing bothers me about him. the fact that lends itself to rex being a B-S-er. i remember when he said he was going to buy a home "where it snows the most". as it turns out, rex bought a home in nashville, not sure if he bought one here, probably rents. if anyone saw the HBO "real sports" story on him recently, it was mentioned about his recently purchased home in nashville. so, i think rex says stuff , and kinda blows lots of smoke out of his a$$.
  7. after watching that first half sunday, how could anybody have been worse?
  8. he sucks LESS than EJ.. but, that is JMHO.
  9. probably.. im just an average fan..
  10. over manual? absolutely.. how could he be worse than him? if he was on the team and missed the plane last sunday, that meant josh johnson would have played, still better than manual
  11. would take him in a heartbeat over EJ.
  12. could not be worse than EJ
  13. i was one, among many, who offered support to the OP based on the actual post. if it was a fake story, well, i was duped, so be it.
  14. no, they did convert costa to tackle,
  15. i agree with a great deal of your thinking about the present state of the game . i must admit my emotional attachment to the bills hasnt wavered, but they way i feel about watching a game has changed much like you stated. i remember just watching a game, see a great play unfold and not totally be consumed worrying about a flag. .. now that is all i think about. between the "pop culture" image the NFL is keying into and the officials taking over the sport, not the same.
  16. for sure! in the brown paper bags, another great memory that you took for granted.. i think the same black gentleman sold them for years at both the rockpile and the aud. i do believe that is why guys like us just keep coming back .. but the feeling of being a punching bag does cross my mind lo these many years.
  17. that band lives in the memories of all of us who experienced them. over the years talking to old friends, or people you would come across and talk old bills at WMS, the subject of the band always came up. all i know is that band playing in the right field corner was very much a part of the distinct culture of a bills game at WMS. there are many books about the brooklyn dodgers and the romance they had with that borough, the tradition, the band at the rockpile, the sights, the smells of those days is very close.
  18. Me too! when i saw this thread, that pic came immediately to mind. very sorry to hear of his passing.. R I P...
