  1. i agree, and check to see what dick vermeil is doing these days.. is weeb eubank still alive? how about lou saban's son tom?
  2. cowher, dungy, jon gruden, schottenheimer(marty), george seifert, parcells, interview em all, may as well ask jimmy johnson too.. and shanny..
  3. easily notre dame, especially during the montana years.. but i do realize that is hardly "going out on a limb"..
  4. i much prefer watching the game if there is hope, regardless of how much.. looking and hoping to stay alive another week..
  5. just go back to last year and hire hue jackson as head coach and keep schwartz. simple trip.. then i would return and we would be sitting at 8 and 5
  6. all notable.. chandler certainly should not be out of the mix.. as of now, i think the wall has maintained a standard of some sort. chandler, smerlas, fergy, butler, moulds, are right there, for sure, and i love them all, but IMHO, just a hair below of the caliber that is up there now.
  7. ok.. wasnt sure, i have lost track, it seemed like it was O J and pat mcgroeder .. then it took off..
  8. kent hull?.. probably not enough to warrant it, but it is apparent that the guy was a rock.. unsung(to say the least) .. and from what i gather, the players agree.
  9. while i sincerely agree with everything you said, and am as frustrated as you, i think the point of the OP was to offer an opinion on a team of the past 15 years that didnt make the playoffs and deserved to. "none of them " is the easy answer.
  10. you beat me to it. the defense was the type that wins , shame.. probably all goes back to QB.. had we had one, things might have been different. i thought orton was "ok".. maybe could have made the playoffs with him if a game or two would have shook out differently, but E J lost us a couple that proved to be the difference.
  11. jeez! ill say! i am far from a toned, six pack ab guy.. but you would think he might want to cut back a bit on the barley sandwiches ..
  12. the fans are a fickle bunch, to say the least, and pretty much miserable. i have seen enough of the live interviews from the pre-game shows to ascertain that the tailgating is pretty sterile, could be wrong, but does not seem to compare to the ralph's, obviously.
  13. i have not gone to the "linc" as it is known , here in philly, but i am going to go out on a limb and say it would probably rank as one of the worst, if not , thee worst. this is based on the various reports of fans of the visiting teams getting the crap kicked out of them. i know it has happened at the baseball park where NY Met fans regularly get in fights and i think it would be a safe assumption that a fan of the visiting team at an eagles game would not have a "pleasant" experience.
  14. hopefully , this means the wash game will be shown in philly
  15. as much as i was on board with ryan's hire, i do now think "what if"? hue jackson was hired as HC.. and kept schwartz..
  16. i have probably missed something.. a lot.. but how did football evolve into this? watching football was never like it is now.. where did all these "rules" come from? "back in the day", a flag was a big deal, not an every other play occurrence. did the rules committee start this? the officials trying to be the game? im bewildered.. and have discussed this topic before ..
  17. i think it makes sense in the context of his point. your reach to be glib aside
  18. it wont stop until the officials cost the almighty kraft's team a game. so it will continue, because that wont happen!
  19. very nice thoughts! it does make you wonder when we bills fans, sabre fans, will ever catch a break..
