  1. Thank you.. My father , my uncles , all served , one killed in WW2.. great post
  2. Was 8 , when i went to my first game at WMS in 1960.. Have seen it all.. no complaints, but a few hurts..
  3. Seriously , totally agree , i got on this over 10 years ago, when i moved from Buffalo, lots of vitriol and even worse , lots of predictable "open mike" quip comments..
  4. Yesterday ,at one point, during the late games, when they had the 4 boxes, 3 out of the 4 boxes had an official explaining a penalty..
  5. Yep.. i can remember every detail of that night/game, but normally cant remember why i walked into a room now..
  6. Shaw 66 and myself are old-times , i think.. lived thru it all, seen it all.. and I agree with him regarding this season.. Being simplistic , totally out of the weeds , they stay healthy , it happens.. Have absolutely no doubt ..
  7. I am in Limerick.. since 2008.. i try to stay close to home here.. so far havent heard of many around .. meaning a Bills Bar here..
  8. Myself and 4 friends all invested in season tickets.. We got there in time to see Herb Mul- Key , receive the first kickoff ever at the Stadium and run it back toward us in the tunnel end zone for a TD..
  9. Totally agree with your premise of "trying way to hard to be funny" , it gets old, predictable .. to a point where you know what essentially will be forthcoming .. and always is..,
  10. Thanks for posting!!!!!!!!loved it.. as a guy who started at the Rockpile with my Dad.. This was beautiful !
  11. Didnt know he was a Vikings fan.. was under the impression he was a Steeler fan.., from that area I believe..
  12. Totally agree.. get the feeling he thinks Buffalo is not worthy..
  13. I agree , thought Saffold had a decent career , but on here , its mostly "open mike night" .. who can have the most creative quip..
  14. As someone who attended games when Rich Stadium opened, the concessions there at that time were awful.. they had horrible looking hot dogs floating in a tub of water at the concession stand.. the beer was piis warm draft.. and just crappy popcorn.. not much else.. At that time each stand was run by individual groups , like a church.. all the workers at the stands were volunteers , so you cant blame them.., I cant remember the name of the concession group , but it wasnt Sportservice(later Delaware North) .. They came aboard years later..
  15. Sports talk whether on radio or TV is unlistenable IMHO. Way too profound and sanctimonious..
  16. Me too , would love to get there .. just a great feeling knowing they arent leaving!
  17. YEP! I am old too.. Rockpile in 1960 as an 8 yr old, then the "new" stadium in 1973, (after living thru the Lancaster Dome BS), then after Ralph died, a bit of concern (I.E Bon Jovi) feels great to exhale..so happy..
  18. Yea, good point.. did it many times back then, but too old now ,I usually wait till noon.
  19. A 9:30 AM start , our time , a bit too early for beer.. Bloody Marys i guess.
  20. That man stands alone.. used to look forward to the show years ago..
  21. Didnt know that.. but based on how the season finished, thought he might show up for appearance sake, if nothing else.
