totally agree promo!, the stadium does have some character after all these years. in addition, it is paid for! the economic realities are going to hit the ALMIGHTY NFL soon and i think the fact there is no debt load is going to be a huge plus for the region and its ability to keep the team.

born in buffalo in 1952, graduate of south park high school in 1970. went to college at hilbert, buff state, rec'd degree from UB.. worked for the govt until 2007 and retired at 55. moved to the philly area in late 2008 to be near children (and grandchild) who naturally had to relocate for job reasons. the pizza here sucks, philly cheesesteaks are overrated in my opinion, did get a wegman's near my home to make eating bearable. have the ticket, get the center ice package and really jealous of the flyers.

2 Bills games sold out already
dwight in philly replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so true!, be we do pretty good regardless. if this product was IN los angeles, they would have drawn 25,000 people after the first half of the season, but we keep going because it is in our souls! -

i could not agree more!, we never get the national pub(with good reason lately), but we are as passionate as they come. we accept the product and hope. that is the essence of being a fan. i am hoping beyond hope we get lucky this year, see what happens , and just root! i know it sounds "pollyannish", but what other way can one proceed? i hope gailey can deliver and keep us from being the laughingstock as most expect. -
just happen to being reading STEINBRENNER, by bill madden presently, seems a bit weird now. i highly recommend it if you are a yankee or steinbrenner fan. it is an honest portrayal.

it is a shame, just too bad he works for ESPN, if only he was on the JETS payroll. -

If you build it, they will come

when the bills were winning under butler, i heard no negative comments about players playing in buffalo, coming to play in buffalo. it has been a culture of mismanagement that has made the team undesirable for the past decade. i know buffalo is not south beach, but a winning tradition would obviously put on us on an even playing field regarding the perception of actually playing here. -
absolutely!.. what are they not not getting at OBD?, one marketing firm tells them to go with those awful jersey's they switched to, and they cant see the light!, i am no big fan of the current sabre regime, but at least they dumped their horrible uni's, went with tradition.

i have espoused the same feelings regarding this subject. again, if another team moves to LA, i do not believe there are any other viable, realistic markets for an owner to move the bills. i really only considered san antonio, never thought of OKC, could possibly be another jacksonville, i e:, very strong college presence and history. maybe i am too optimistic about the bills remaining in buffalo, but there just are not many options. toronto?, the CFL would die and is the canadian govt going to allow that to happen? also, where would they play?, i think the wgr's and jerry sullivan's are just too fatalistic and people are actually listening to them!

Great opportunity for a trade with San Diego
dwight in philly replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that sounds too easy and makes too much sense!, just once would i like to see a deal like that get done. the skins just gave up mid level picks for brown. get that left tackle, the season could be interesting. -
it seems the bills have been woefully weak in their judgment of the linebacker position for about the last 12-15 years. the previous posters all were right about paup, spielman, covington, cowart and holochek and the seemingly bad luck that occurred with those players and the failure to come up with solutions after them or their injury situation. . my biggest beef is the recent past, the past 2-3 seasons, linebacking appears to be a glaring weakness. why they have refused to address it is beyond me. no offense to keith ellison, but we need more!l liked the davis signing, would have loved to have gotten mcclain in the draft, but they seemed to pass on guys like cato june, freddie keiho, etc, in free agency while going with depth guys. sure june and keiho may or may not have worked out, but it seems they were blind to the weakness.

more "sick of the jets"
dwight in philly replied to dwight in philly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
totally understand and know where you are coming from. i am not a person who has an inferiority complex about the city of buffalo , or the bills. i love and boast proudly of both. my only point is that it seems the jets off-season has been covered on a national basis like no other team in the league. i expect the hype of the cowboys, the nfc east, belichick, tom brady, manning, etc, on and on, but, continuing to hear about buddy ryan and revis on a daily basis just had gotten to me. -
