  1. dennis miller - d bag??, totally disagree, find him very funny, very informed, he is the "anti bill maher". it is a matter of preference.
  2. a positive, for sure! do not like the toronto money grab , but it was a very comforting report, regardless.
  3. i have to agree! i see quite a few of the mocks from the guys on here having us getting casey matthews in the 3rd, 4th round. i think he will be gone by the completion of the second, if for nothing else , on the coattails of brother clay. i would love to get him, but he will be long gone by the third.
  4. i certainly do not like the tone expressed on here in terms of people having to feel that they are "THE MAN", the smartest guy in the room mentality. the one's who feel it is their duty to be the "fact and grammar " police. quite frankly, it deters me from posting as much as i would, but ignoring it is what works for me. as for the uniform change euphoria, count me as one who is very excited about it. i am an older guy, late 50's, bills die-hard, and was very ashamed of the uniforms that came about in 2002. the road uni's were a total embarrassment and just look forward to a more classic look. comparing the product presented on the field with how that product is outfitted seems a little "apples and oranges" to me.
  5. sure made my day! i am not a fan of quinn or golisano for obvious reasons concerning the on -ice product they try to sell us, but the mere fact he essentially said he would be VERY interested if the bills were in danger of leaving certainly seems like he would step up, very comforting, to say the least. the only question i would have is, would the fans be content if golisano runs the bills like he ran the sabres? i know, the bills have been worse, but i think it is due from outright ineptness as compared to golisano "wanting to break even" (as he said today). i will answer my own question.. yes, i would rather have a mediocre bills team, than none at all.
  6. i remember that game when the bills beat the 49ers in 72. john brodie was the qb for the 49ers, they were actually favored to beat the bills and the bills came out and stung them. i remember the big tight end we drafted from ohio state, jan white, have a decent day. the one thing about war memorial was the 45 thousand sounded incredibly loud, the stadium was known for being loud, much like memorial stadium in baltimore was, in the those days.
  7. here here! totally echo everything you said! i think the ralph has charm and want it utilized in lieu of building anything modern. as for war memorial, besides my avatar expressing my feelings, i absolutely loved my trips there, loved the anticipation, atmosphere and smell, everything!, about the dear old rockpile. i was 8 yrs old when my father took me there in 1960 and can remember it like it was yesterday. i used to attend AA bisons baseball games when they brought baseball back in 1979 just so i could experience the rockpile again.
  8. i agree, we can call a truce, i have watched beck, no doubt, he is over the top, but maddow, i will only offer an opinion that i think her set of balls is bigger than anyone else's on msnbc.. and MOST CERTAINLY.. GO BILLS!
  9. as ronald reagan used to say .. "there you go again", where is it posted , or said, by ME, that i like glenn beck. is that an assumption on your part because i do not care for keith olbermann that i like glenn beck? curious jump my friend.
  10. lol!.. i agree, i always thought oakland fans had a "blue collar edge" to them.. it certainly does fit the san fran fans more! and yes i do remember , it was a post that was interpreted maybe not entirely correct, but , since you brought up NBC, maybe you can answer this, what are the 25 people that watched keith olbermann on msnbc going to do now , being that his show was canceled?
  11. you are so right !, vegetarian "anything" at a bills tailgating party is just not right. good italian sausage, beer, and sahlens dogs are all you need. case closed.
  12. fantastic!, my kids went there a few years ago, what a neat thing!
  13. yup!.. must be ralph, wont come up.. sure would be nice to have a bona-fide coordinator..
  14. i am quite sure rex's wife's feet smelled extra good last night to him....
  15. would be a great start to the off-season!if gailey wants him, which it appears, we just have to hope ralph comes up if wanny does , in fact, wanna be here.
  16. i did, but hate the late start of the first saturday game, used to love the december NFL games on sat, they moved them back to have the first one start at 4pm, then they just disappeared. i know its all about revenue, advertising dollars , but that 4 pm sat start still sucks.
  17. yep! that is probably the best comparison!
  18. that is an interesting question!, ickey woods comes to mind, but that was 20 years ago, today, michael turner?
  19. truly agree, ralph should have gotten over the differences. in cookie's case however, it may have been partially cookie's fault also. i had heard they made overtures to him, but he put a price tag on his agreeing to show up.
  20. not quite sure of that, but it sure is close!
  21. it sure was fun, feel privileged to have been a youngster growing up with that team. it seemed football , overall, was just better!. you never saw cookie signal "first down",he just played.
  22. i am sure anyone old enough to remember cookie gilchrist will be saddened today. it has been reported that he died today. i am old enough to remember his career in buffalo, what a time it was to be a bills fan.
  23. i believe so.. he assisted on special teams i think, also.
