  1. i believe he is just expressing his opinion.. sounds like you do not agree with it by the sarcastic put-down.. well, guess you are judge and jury on what is acceptable..
  2. didnt they have to separate the men from the boys in greece with a crowbar?
  3. thanks for making my point Lmao! ( didnt you mean persecution?)
  4. it all relates to the hot button d'jour, right now it is the gay community, previous to that it was the african american community, as long as you keep insults aimed at the right, you are home free.. i e:gun-toting southern rednecks, bible thumping wackos, fat cats, no problem.. not saying it is right, just an observation..
  5. well, i guess in this day, you are right, but 10 years ago, it was not necessarily true.. PC is out of control.. just my opinion..
  6. in this day and age he probably should not have gone public with it, but it reeks of hypocrisy knowing full well most guys in locker rooms do make gay jokes, ethnic jokes and all of a sudden he gets singled out by the very same people who have done the same..if they could measure indifference , mine would be off the charts regarding this..
  7. well said.. i am there.. find myself becoming turned off to the NFL in general and i have been watching forever. the combination of the agony of being a bills fan with what the NFL has become just no longer is working for me.
  8. really? never thought much of him.. but i am quite sure if you like him, carrottop must really crack you up
  9. i guess your rules are rules ! no playoff talk until the last week then!... "prop comedy?"does that mean GALLAGHER is now funny?
  10. you must carry a lampshade with you the way a pool player does with his cue stick..
  11. yea, in your case, but i do get the poster, if they win the next three, then the dialogue can seriously focus on playoff possibilities.(hopefully no more predictable comments about the poster's intent). "hilarious".i hear there is a struggling comedian in the catskills looking for an opening act, you may want to apply..
  12. not sure, but could have, the best thing he ever coined was "thats two for mcadoo"
  13. sure there were fights back in the 70's, but they seemed a bit more isolated, confined, if there is such a thing. now, it seems like a bunch of teens , twentysomethings just out to get drunk, raise hell, maybe im sounding like an old fogey, but it did not seem as hostile back then as it does now.
  14. it was very nice back then, as a kid going to war memorial, transitioning to rich was exciting. the early days of rich were very much a pleasure. tailgating, drinking, but not out of control, as it is now. we all are aware what attending games at the ralph has turned into and not much you can do about it, but yea, the memories are good..
  15. i am old enough to remember don gilbert.. he played QB at UB in the early 60's, backed up john stofa at UB , stofa later played a bit with the dolphins..
  16. i think he came aboard as a result of a station change as i recall, cant quite recollect, but listening to van since since 1960, i remember it being an adjustment. the ironic thing is whenever they show OJ going over the 2000 mark against the jets, it is al meltzer calling it, not van..
  17. he actually replaced john facenda, the legendary "frozen tundra" announcer on NFL films.. R I P..
  18. i did not sign up , but i must admit i miss reading it. hopefully the numbers that do not sign up are significant enough to scare their advertisers..
