Smith and Young have looked great this year, it just took them a couple years to adapt to the NFL. I understand your point though, I wouldn't select them in the top 10, but would take them later in the first or high in the second.

I'd like to think a guy like shannahan would enjoy the challenge of coming to buffalo and making the bills a competitor again, not only as a head coach, but also sharing GM duties with Russ. I think thats also what Russ and Ralph have in mind and is why they went after him, holmgren, and cowher who would all have the same roll

this is nothing new, the first black hole was created about ten years ago inside Ralph Wilson Stadium, it sucks the talent and knowledge of football of anyone that dares walk inside.

didn't they just sign garrard to a 60m contract a year or two ago? i doubt they cut or trade him, even if they draft tebow he'll most likely be a gimmick/wildcat QB, not a full time starter

my thoughts exactly, him and fitz are identical, not consistent enough to be a good starter, but can come off the bench and play good enough to win a couple games here and there.

i hope he does well, but not so good that they don't at least look at other options... unless somehow the bills go undefeated the rest of the season

throw in the signing of brohm and we could have a little controversy, they wouldn't have signed him if they haven't given up on edwards and know like the rest of us the fitz isn't the answer. depending on the new regime and how good brohm looks this year in practice or what playing time he gets (if any) and how he looks in the offseason I bet they don't draft a QB high. and edwards gets released if they pick up another QB along the way
