Yes. While EJ may be the "high character guy", Geno is a much more natural passer. More instinctive and accurate. While time will certainly tell the story, I think that in the end, Smith will prove that he should have been the guy. And the beat goes on...

Josh Freeman got cut for a reason. At his best, he was a decent NFL QB. Manuel will be better (I think). So why would you want Freeman? And why would he come here??

Yeah, the same reason Brett Favre was traded from the Falcons. Not saying that Freeman is Favre, but sometimes talent evaluators makes mistakes.
I'm just glad this organization seen an opportunity to make it's team better and made a serious attempt at him.

Hypothetically speaking, what if Freeman signs with Bills and they go undefeated prior to Manuel's return. Do you give the reins back to EJ or do you ride it out with Freeman?

Do anyone know when the Bills will resume practice? Reports are that Freeman will choose team this weekend.
Looks like Pat White is the backup plan if Freeman picks Oakland. Bills bringing White in for a workout as per NFL.com

This is a challenge for Whaley and Marrone.
Dont be surprised or angry if they start Tuel. Sure they have to pick someone up , but it might just be Thaddeus .
Depends alot on how long EJ is truly expected to be out. I have read everything from 1-8 weeks.

There is no way the Bills are considering Thaddeus Lewis! This team is full of veteran players, like Kyle Williams, that wants to win now and are sick and tired of the wait until next year approach. The way this team is comprised, it is capable of making the playoffs this year. Any type of competent QB play will get them to the post season. Lewis and Tuel aren't the answers. Let's hope for the team's sake and ours, as fans, they land Freeman. By the way, Freeman owns the Saints and Bengals two upcoming opponents.

Maybe the Bills are trying to present themselves as a "classy" organization in order to lure more free agents in the future.

I think in all honesty Vince Young will get a deeper look than Freeman.
Young is older, more mature, more willing to be a backup when Manuel returns, and work with Manuel on making him a better QB.
Freeman is immature, more of a "me" person, still fresh off of selfish actions, and will probably want to be in a situation where he is the perminant starter. When EJ returns, he'll create problems.
Young has "been there and done that". He did well with GB during preseason, and can run the same offense.
Where are you getting your information from? According to Alex Van Pelt and his former OC, Greg Olson, Freeman has been nothing but exemplary, a great teammate, and great to work with. Was at every meeting on time and wanted to learn the position. Young was more of a " ME" person.
You guys are nuts. Freeman is not the answer to anything! The dude wear a feaux hawk for crying out loud. A feauxhawk! Live and die with the qbs we have this season. Give Tuel the reps and ride our running backs.
Aaron Williams wears a faux hawk too and his was colored pink!
The problem is that if it isn't just Schiano, I don't want Freeman anywhere near my young, impressionable blue chip rookie QB.
It's not worth it, even for a couple extra wins.
Kinda like Doug Flutie and Rob Johnson huh?

The national guys all seem to be on the same page with this... saw where Ian Rapaport said Freeman would be a terrible fit for the Bills offense. I don't know why that is, but I am not really an Xs and Os person. Can he hand off to Spiller and Jackson and throw on play action? Sign here.

You guys are delusional. How about we spank the bucs with EJ on 12/8 and not Freeman. 12/8 is after all about 8 weeks away.
Its sad what desperation does to people. You guys make freeman out to be dan marino.
How about signing Freeman and shelving Manuel for the rest of season. Manuel is scheduled to be out for 6-8 weeks. Why rush him back? We don't want a repeat of RGIII. Freeman may not be Marino, but he's the best thing out there

If I had to repair my reputation (unfairly or not), I could think of worse teams to come to than one with two excellent RBs, one of whom can block like a mofo, emerging WRs and a rapidly improving defense.
I say we start a campaign and blow up his Twitter account. We'll even give him his #5. Hopkins wouldn't mind as his spot on the roster is in question.

I hate to say this EJ Manuel fans, but Josh Freeman would be an upgrade over EJ right now. With Freeman, this team will make playoffs. Freeman sees the field better than EJ does at the moment, has great pocket presence and has a cannon of an arm. Yes, I'm an EJ Manuel fan, but I'm a Buffalo Bills fan first and foremost. Josh Freeman is the answer and I'm ready to bomb his Twitter account with LETS GO BUFFALO Tweets.
Just from looking at his numbers, Freeman isn't very accurate, throws lots of INTs, but does have a rocket arm....JP Losman?
He's NOTHING like JP Losman!
