  1. The ‘22 draft class may go down as one of the greatest ever in Bills history. Contracts for Bernard, Benford, Shakir and Cook, specifically. Really hard decisions for Beane to prioritize. You can’t pay them all, I suspect. Who would you prioritize?
  2. Playing at Seattle is absolutely deafening. An incredible home advantage. Geno has also played respectable. 31-28 Bills.
  3. Someway, somehow we always play down to the Jags. This is a potential trap game, after the Bills dismantled the Fins the Bills will ooze confidence. However this is the game where leaders like JA and VM need to get the team completely focused to play. How easy is it to look ahead vs the Ravens, Texans and Jets (oh my)? We always seems to overlook the Jags and it bites the team in the a*ss. Time for payback!
  4. Good call. His limited tape stood out to me. I think he can certainly push for an active role if MVS doesn’t pull through.
  5. Per Joe Marino of Locked on Bills, Hardy was brought in solely as a Punt Returner. He had several gaffes in that role during preseason, despite some promise as a CB. I personally thought his play at CB offset any issues he had as a PR and could have continued to work on that aspect. He was described by Marino as "sensational" during the preseason in the CB role, which I respect Marino's assessment. With Benford's ability to stay healthy a question and Elam on his 5th year option, I would at least try to stash Hardy on the PS.
  6. ZD can't play special teams and is a liability as a in-line blocker. This is why Mckittry (sp) was thought to be a more valuable commodity than ZD if Morris was put on IR. I agree, ZD is a legit receiving threat but to put this guy on the active roster -remember you can only inactivate so many players each week- when his number would be seldom called anyway. Not quality roster usage, imo. Duly noted about MVS being less than stellar in terms of production and health, though.
  7. Rypien released by Chicago, as was Bailey Zappe from New England. Interesting to see how fast either QB lasts on the open market.
  8. Correction: Rypien is battling for the back up quarterback position with Bagent. 70% completion percentage in 34 attempts. Three touchdowns no interceptions. 134 QBR rating. I’ll take those numbers any day over Trubisky. I’d also not hold out hope for the recent QB Bills brought in.
  9. Correction: Rypien is battling for the back up quarterback position with Bagent. 70% completion percentage in 34 attempts. Three touchdowns no interceptions. I’ll take those numbers any day over Trubisky. If that’s madness talk then go ahead and call me crazy.
  10. The Bills should make a trade for Chicago 3rd string QB Brett Rypien. I was impressed with his performance in the HOF game and overall he has had a solid preseason. Blows Trubisky’s numbers out of the water. Waiting for waivers is an option but if I were Beane I’d send Chicago a 7th rd pick as a safeguard.
  11. Edmunds had a lot of speed but terrible awareness and never was the playmaker he should’ve been. I’d take this kid and he seemed to have plenty of speed tracking down Fields and Harris.
  12. If Andressen is not on the 53 man roster there’s something wrong with the coaches. This guy was all over the field vs the Steelers. Aside from Rousseau he may have been the best player on the entire field. Watch B. Baldinger’s highlights for reference. I never saw Edmunds have that kind of awareness or reaction. Forget about the practice squad. This guy is an upgrade over Jones or Morrow.
  13. Bills need to seriously look into acquiring a savvy vet QB - someone other than Trubisky. It may have been only 1 preseason game but Brett Rypien from Chicago during the HOF game looked like a legit backup caliber QB. Very impressive in his limited duties during the game. Beane should look at getting this guy added, as I am sure Chicago will look to stuff him on the practice squad, if not waive him due to numbers. Seems to have a better pocket presence than Trubisky could ever dream to have.
  14. I liked Joe Parrino's take on Locked on Bills podcast in his assessment with Davidson. Definitely called him a player that warrants consideration. He also added that Morris has had a solid training camp so not to take anything away from his performance. However, Parrino, whom I respect immensely as an analyst, said that there is no denying the "IT" factor that Davidson possesses. 6'7", ran a 4.6 40, athletic score of like 8.2 (10 being perfect). His college production in his last year was like 40 catches for over 800 yrds and 15 TD's. That's pretty impressive for a TE. Question: Will Dawson Knox still be on the roster next year? My guess is his salary and declining production to Kincaid will play him out of Buffalo.
  15. Anybody watch the Bears Preseason game last night? 1 player that absolutely stood out to me was Bears WR Collin Johnson. At 6'6", 222 lbs, guy was making some unbelievable catches. Like over-the-shoulder, body twisting, staying in bounds kind of catches. He is in a battle for making it on a roster spot on a suddenly loaded Bears WR group. Bills also have tons of talent in their WR group but this guy definitely stood out to me. If there is an injury to the Bills WR group, this guy seems to be a viable option to step right in. Maybe the best player on the field last night. QB Rypien also looked to be a very solid backup option.
