  1. Ohh no, I agree that it is a big deal, but it must also be taken into account that Joe Cool was on the other side and only guys like Joe or Josh or Pat can turn a game like that into a win if it goes the other way against them.
  2. Whenever I read the Josh Allen BS, I always think of this... when you have a QB with guts and who takes chances, sometimes you lose but sometimes you win the whole damn thing.
  3. We oldheads call that the Immaculate Reception effect 😁 "Raiders safety George Atkinson offered some eyewitness testimony of the referee conference 40 years later in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: "We wandered over to hear what they were talking about. We thought they were deciding if the play was dead; instead, they were concerned about security. I heard it with my own ears." https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2662252-urban-legends-of-the-nfl-did-frightened-refs-stage-the-immaculate-reception
  4. I know... it's funny how I have the total OPPOSITE attitude about the NBA as compared to the NFL... I miss the old NBA with Oak running around and being able to dominate defensively and lament the rules changes, but in the NFL the rules changes have made the game more open and trying to keep players more safe. Emphasis on the word trying because some of these roughing calls are terrible and some teams like the Dolphins were finding ways around the rules.
  5. How old are you? Legit question. It's DEFINITELY not a worse product. The parity and talent and drama are MILES better than in the 80s and 90s because of training, nutrition, and rules changes.
  6. You don't know that... if he doesn't fumble, who is to say they don't go for it or just kick a field goal and then Burrow does his thing and scores the GW TD? I say they lost because all they had was runs and Mark Andrews as a legit target. That's fair... as I said before the game, it's all moot now. Lamar is not going to play a down in a Ravens uni ever again. I am very interested to see what the Ravens do now.
  7. So you missed what I said... their lack of offensive skill players and Greg Roman's game plans HURT Lamar. They leave him open to far too many hits and bad plays... you have to have guys out there he can throw to first, like the year Josh had with guys like Benjamin, Clay and Foster.
  8. WHY did they lose? 1. Lack of offensive talent at skill positions 2. Too much of a reliance on runs to move the ball to compensate! 35 rushing attempts, 29 passing attempts Lamar Jackson being in there would have just given them a more dynamic running game and that's it. As I SAID, the Ravens staff has let down this team by not taking care of Lamar and surrounding him with talent to succeed on offense. Chickens coming home to roost...
  9. Is it me, or does Jordan Phillips's mentality and passion make a big difference on the field? Without him I see a lot less fun and swag from our D-line. I hope his shoulder heals up so he can make us better because I see his presence as a big positive.
  10. Only one thing I can say about those frauds who beat us on some fluke... YOU LIKE THAT?!!??!?!?!?! 🖕
  11. Definitely was something... another week of rest hopefully will help.
  12. Dunno if this was mentioned or not... Is Josh's ankle bothering him more than he is letting on and that's why he was throwing those last second passes instead of just taking off and running full sprint? He didn't look himself today with the runs at all.
  13. I bet Dolphins +14 1/2 and Ravens +10 1/2. It seemed extremely easy to me considering the divisional matchups and pride on the line. The Ravens hardly ever lose THAT badly no matter who is their starting QB... the Ravens will cover.
  14. Lol. I'm sorry, but the Bills didn't lose to the Colts this season and we beat them head to head AT ARROWHEAD
  15. As someone who is French-Canadian, I am glad that he at least was close and didn't butcher the name with something stupid... reminds me of what I see with Versailles... people pronouncing it Ver-sails 🤢
  16. 1. I told you in my first response that this is a RAVENS problem as the choices they are making for their offense SUCK and they can't get one until they can Greg Roman and install an offense that can be very successful. 2. You are confused because I never said that he SHOULDN'T RUN, but that the offense is a terrible one for success long term. They are contributing to the injuries and a rapid decline in Lamar's abilities by literally running him into the ground. It's unnecessary if they had some balance, but Greg Roman IS NOT the guy for that. I don't know why we are going back and forth on this LOL... This is all now moot as it seems like Lamar is GONE, so we will see what happens next season when Lamar is traded. BOY the Ravens botched this whole deal...
  17. LMAO Seriously? People can do both, you know... and it's not giving your money away if you win more than you lose. So you don't have a single pleasure that you spend money on like gambling or smoking or drinking? That's not living, that's existing.
  18. 1. It DOES because not having that bona fide veteran #1 WR DOES make a huge difference when you draft WRs. 2. The NFL is a "what have you done for me lately?" league and you know this. The Ravens offensive rankings have gone down every single season after Lamar got that MVP in which he ran for OVER 1200 YARDS. So Greg Roman's idea of offense is to run the quarterback into the ground and get fired AGAIN after declining performance. He's been fired twice as an OC and is working on #3... he has never been a head coach despite him being an OC for TWELVE YEARS.
  19. 1. The Ravens are CLEARLY not going in the right direction on offense, and the way they are treating Lamar is shameful both contractually and personnel wise. They are trying to build this team the wrong way and Lamar will prove the Ravens wrong if he goes to the right team. Receivers don't want to play for THE RAVENS because they don't use wideouts correctly, not because Lamar is the issue. This is a RAVENS problem, not a Lamar problem. 2. We had LeSean McCoy in 2016 and a pedestrian Tryrod who protected his stats, and not some rotating bevy of backs that can't ever seem to stay healthy with a QB with freakish talent. ANY OC who preferred a run-centric offense can utilize a LeSean McCoy and look good.... I mean come on...
  20. You are forgetting two things here: 1. The Ravens didn't go out and get a veteran #1 WRs like a Stefon Diggs or a Davante Adams or a Tyreek Hill, and that makes a big difference. Simply drafting receivers in the first round is NEVER a guarantee that they will pan out and as you could see with the Packers, youth needs to be shepherded- not everyone is Justin Jefferson. 2. GREG ROMAN IS THEIR OC! You should know by now how bad this guy is and that he will hinder ANY QB in the passing game. He's trash. Lamar has been hindered by those two factors and he'd better not go to the Jets or the Dolphins, or you'll very much regret this analysis.
  21. I LOVE AV because from a historical perspective you can see by position and school how college football has also changed. If you get the chance, view NFL players by the college they attended and their AVs. It's fascinating!
  22. Noted for future use.
  23. For sure... those days were rough for the most part. We got a half-life version of Drew Bledsoe and a lot of crap... and there are a lot of Bills fans out there now who didn't live that experience. I'm extremely grateful for what we have now, unlike in the 90s when having seasons like this year's were routine and I was much younger.
