Jamarcus Russell, Trey Lance, Ryan Leaf and Mitch Trubisky were all drafted to be franchise QBs. So??? Sometimes you invest in a dog and have to put it out of its misery at a big loss. -

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!! I have been saying that. Justin Fields has to be better than Zach Wilson. Rex Ryan said that they couldn't afford a good backup QB but they can afford Dalvin Cook and a bunch of handpicked old WRs? THEIR MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE just like the Mets. -

This from a man who threw more interceptions than touchdowns in almost every season he played in and for his career and the ONLY reason why he is in the HOF is because of Super Bowl III.- 149 replies

GMs don't play the games... the players do. Just because extremely well tuned and made cars on the track are put out there by Ferrari and other manufacturers doesn't mean that the drivers will race the same.

My bad I apologize... ...Mondays... 😁

You didn't watch the same game I watched then... his pass coverage was ABYSMAL and he was exposed.
-
ONLY ONE explanation for this.... 😂

I mean, look at this defense... when we get Von Miller back, HOW GREAT COULD THEY BE?!?! It's really exciting. NOT ONE talking head mentioned him at all, as if we sat on our butt all offseason and did nothing.

Is it REALLY worth it? No. Move on, it's cool. The Bills dominated. NOTE: I was not one of those people.

It's normally a smaller percentage.... last year was an aberration. I've been a retired/disabled vet for over 5 years and so yeah you get used to really paying attention to it! -
Well, time to revisit my notes before the TOSU/ND game: McCord has looked pretty cool under pressure, so this will be a huge test whether or not this carries over once he gets top level rushes in his face. He's definitely looking more Burrow-like which is a positive. McCord played like Joe Burrow in the end, that same sort of cold calculated delivery, and what a time to do it. He proved a lot last night. - The offensive staff needs to do a better job in allowing McCord to spread the defense out in their playcalling... far too much short stuff which can be dangerous. Finally we saw what can happen when Day allows McCord to sling it, and boy did he sling it when we needed it! Could Day have been holding things back for this game? Interesting thought. - Is it me or are the RBs not much of a speed threat outside and are very north-south oriented? I don't think that Notre Dame will be too worried about covering outside runs, which could be an issue. Although it wasn't an issue, the RBs still are playing north-south and not too many plays went outside for the backs. Honestly the emergence of Chip Trayanum was exciting- he plays with juice and more quickness, which is a dynamic that needed. He could be special. - The defense has played great and has been quite sharp, which is VERY encouraging. If the offense has long stretches of little production, the defense could be huge factor in keeping it close enough to pull out a victory. Well, the defense did its job in pass defense, but the run defense was not good... far too many runs by all of the ND backs which could have been catastrophic but fortunately Hartman wasn't up to the challenge.

Everyone is talking about the 10 men on the field blunder, but NOBODY is talking about the screen pass on second down by ND... had they just run the ball instead of passing to run clock, TOSU wouldn't have had enough time to win that game. ND was literally running the ball down our throats in many instances. That one play cost them the game long before the last few seconds.

The New Stadium & the Wall of Fame

Eric Moulds would have been a Hall of Fame receiver if he played with Brady or Manning. Moulds is my #1 choice after Butch Byrd. -
**2024 degenerative gamblers thread **

The 49ers and Buffaloes have basically funded my entire first three weeks of football, so looking for a bet this week in CFB it HAS to be Notre Dame +3.5. I don't think that McCord is ready for their defense and the Buckeyes running game doesn't impress me at all. Look for Notre Dame +3.5 -
Oh no, poor billionaires losing money.

People who complain about taxes usually have more than enough money to survive and aren't hurting in the least. What gets me is the very same people that do usually support people that allow wealthy people to AVOID paying their fair share of taxes, unless it is a professional sports team owner, then suddenly it's an outrage the public has to fund a stadium. -
The Chargers HAVE ALWAYS had good teams and nothing beyond that. Greatness eludes them and I believe that it has a lot to do with the Spanos family. They have won several division titles over the years under two GMs, Bobby Beathard and A. J. Smith., but beyond those two they have won zero championships despite having talented teams. Their coaching hires have been terrible for the most part, and of course they unceremoniously fired Marty Schottenheimer after a 14-2 season and losing to the PATRIOTS of all teams in the playoffs. Dean Spanos, like his father, blunders through seasons gathering pieces but never using them properly. It's abysmal. Herbert isn't the problem, the Spanos family is...

Enberg at 1pm and Charlie Jones at 4:15pm were the two best at their craft on Sundays, that's for sure... you ALWAYS knew it was a West Coast game when Charlie Jones was speaking.

LMAO Umm I think I will be OK, considering I have been a part of TBD since the first year and not many people are left who can say that. I am not NJSue (RIP) 😁 You said after this year, and then backtracked. TWO years I would agree with you, but not just after one year with four conference losses.
