  1. Not I... I don't fall for the noise when other teams are struggling like we are in certain spots. My problem has always been with putting too much on Josh, but the way we have been running the ball (ESPECIALLY with Latavius Murray's DRIVE!) we are in a much better position!
  2. You're wrong.... dead wrong. Everyone can see the night and day difference in the attacking nature of our defense this season.
  3. It's taken years to perfect the right kind of hilariosity... years and years of bad Bills football makes us stronger 😂
  4. Thought this would be a fun fact for today... I have his rookie card and when I saw the name, I thought back to our first QB in team history, Tom O'Connell: Aiden O'Connell is starting for the Raiders today, and he will be only the second O'Connell at QB to start in pro football history, the first being Tommy O'Connell of the Buffalo Bills. Here is the story of the first QB to start for the Buffalo Bills in its history on September 11th, 1960. "O’Connell won the starting job and was the first quarterback in the first game in Bills’ history. It took place on September 11, 1960, in the Polo Grounds against the New York Titans. From a personal and team standpoint, it couldn’t have gone much worse for O’Connell. He was 2 of 10 for 37 yards, and was replaced by Bob Brodhead. Tom also took a hit on a muffed reverse and had to exit the game for a while. The Bills lost the game, 27-3. “It should be remembered that we have 13 games to go,” O’Connell said afterwards. “We have to get meaner and throw caution to the wind.” Tom was better in the next game –13 for 23 for 218 yards with two touchdowns but with five interceptions. The Broncos won that one, 27-21. “As I see it, I was the goat of the game. I had that pass intercepted late in the game when we were leading and it led to the winning touchdown for the Broncos,” O’Connell said. He cut down on the interceptions in game three, going 6 for 16 for 131 yards with one touchdown and one pick. That was enough, as the defense pitched a shutout against the Boston Patriots in a 13-0 win –the first in team history. “The victory belongs, of course, to our defense,” O’Connell said. “This was the first time in our league (that) a team was shut out, in exhibition or league play. … Our team was alert and played sharp football for 60 minutes.” O’Connell made it through the season, playing in 11 games and starting in six of them. He finished 65 for 145 for 1,033 yards with seven touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Johnny Green, Bob Brodhead and Richie Lucas also did some throwing for Buffalo that season, and Green probably was the best of the bunch. The team finished with a 5-8-1 record. On February 2, 1961, O’Connell announced his retirement from football and was named an assistant coach. However, injuries forced the Bills to reactivate him on August 23. He started the season’s first game against Denver (a 22-10 loss) because Green was out with an injury. O’Connell was 1 of 5 for 11 yards with one interception, and then was knocked out of the game. Lucas saw the rest of the playing time at QB from there. “Let’s face it, quarterback is the biggest part of your offense. No quarterback, no offense,” coach Buster Ramsey said after the game. “We’ve lost our starting quarterback (O’Connell). The quarterback is the leader and when he went out, it demoralized the club. I’m going home and calling six National League coaches to see if I can round up some players.” Buffalo signed Warren Rabb later that week. Meanwhile, that game was it for Tom; he retired from playing soon afterwards and went back to coaching for the rest of the season.O’Connell finished his five-year pro career by completing 204 of 423 passes (48.2) percent for 3,261 yards with 212 touchdown downs and 34 interceptions. His record as a starter was 11-8-2." https://www.buffalosportspage.com/bills-throwback-tom-oconnell/
  5. Dan Orlovsky is one of the worst commentators on television, just as bad as RGIII... Colin Cowherd is usually about as honest as you can get... he chose to ignore the Jets hype and left them out of his playoff prediction because of their offensive line. Most of the others are Jets sycophants who want the Bills to lose. The choices are a reflection of the times... not a very good time for sports on TV.
  6. So far so good with my team after losing my first two weeks by .24 and 4...
  7. Now Tim Wakefield has brain cancer, and I am devastated for him and his family. He pitched brilliantly for the Pirates in the magical season of 1992, and then of course they got rid of him and he because a Red Sux pitcher for many, many years... https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/red-sox-say-tim-wakefield-is-in-treatment-asks-for-privacy-after-illness-outed-by-schilling/ar-AA1hpl6j#image=AA1dK7CY|1
  8. WHY is this clown still employed??? Going from the Bills to the Phins has fried his brain!
  9. Basically this is how the sausage is made, to use an old expression, playing playoff teams and proving that you are the better team and are ready to win a championship. I read quotes from Josh which give me hope that he will take what the defense gives him in order to win this game. I think that this game is a bellwether game that is classic great offense vs. great defense which adds to the spotlight, and Dorsey needs to deliver.
  10. My God no... anyone who says he's like that bum needs to go be a Cowgirls fan 😂
  11. Our defense and McD as DC simply cannot be judged fully until we see them perform on Sunday, period. This is the week that I have been waiting for... Orchard Park, no 100 degree heat index with no shade, Dolphins at full strength on offense. Seize the day! GO BILLS
  12. With Daboll, our offense was hitting its stride and scoring a lot of points in the playoffs. With Dorsey, our offense lost its mojo in the playoffs and Josh running the ball has been the plan of choice instead of committing to running the ball with our backs. McD has done a lot to improve our defense, but we will find out on Sunday if it is legit or not. Dorsey must eliminate the inconsistency and continue to keep Josh from doing the Bills in and getting him badly hurt.
  13. It is, actually, but some owners aren't interested in it.
  14. They scored them against the Raiders and the Commanders. Not the Cowboys, the 49ers, the Cheatriots or the Jaguars. We're trying to win a Super Bowl, not beat up on bad to average teams in the regular season. We cannot accomplish our goals if this team cannot perform well on offense against PLAYOFF CALIBER teams, period.
  15. Replace Dorsey should have been a choice... that's the issue. Someone needs to be there who is creative, can get the running game going and keep Josh from running himself into the ground.
  16. So he wasn't technically fired, he "left". That is my bad. You're lying. Provide me with proof I said Super Bowl III was fixed. I would NEVER say it outright or even ALLUDE to that crapola. Apologize.
  17. Chargers Broncos D Both terrible and so weak Bills D will wreck them
  18. So a) I am in NO WAY saying that the Super Bowl III result wasn't important, or b) The AFL was a bum league, just that Namath was a very overrated player and a QB like John Hadl who is not in the Hall of Fame was better. Daryle Lamonica was electric and had a much better run than Namath did as well. Don Shula was fired after Super Bowl III because of it... and rightfully so.
  19. It was all a blur in the end... my wife already was saying "this game is over" and I'm like (in my Belushi voice).... "IT'S OVER??? WHADDYA MEAN IT'S OVER???" 😆
  20. Sid Gilman magic... never got to see it, but they played AFL games on TV a lot back in the day in the golden age of cable TV and I couldn't get enough of them. I was out buying 1960s AFL sports cards as a kid while others were looking for MJ, Magic and Larry LOL
  21. I disagree!!! The whole issue has been and will continue to be their offensive line, which they did not address properly. It doesn't matter... they are setting up ANY QB they start to fail.
  22. John Hadl had better numbers than Namath and was the best passer in the AFL- 33,503 yards passing, 244 TD, 268 INT in one less season than Namath. His only issue? He didn't win a championship as a starter even though he was a part of the 1963 team. He belongs in the Hall of Fame if they let Namath in IMHO... but I forget according to SoTier I "lack historical perspective" 😂
  23. Great analysis as always!!! This almost made me spit out my coffee!!! GO BILLS indeed!!!
  24. Taylor Swift is not my type and I'm not into her music at all, but I'd have her over to the house for dinner over Rachel Bush 100/100 times.
  25. Ohh REALLY? This is too easy. Well, here is proof you lack historical perspective: HALL OF FAME QBs who played a majority of their career from 1965-1977: Fran Tarkenton 342 TD, 266 INT Johnny Unitas, 290 TD, 253 INT Sonny Jurgensen 255 TD, 189 INT Len Dawson, 239 TD, 183 INT Terry Bradshaw 212 TD, 210 INT Bob Griese 192 TD, 172 INT Roger Staubach, 153 TD, 109 INT Bart Starr, 152 TD, 138 INT Joe Namath 173 TD, 220 INT ***-47*** in TD/INT DIFFERENTIAL! PLEASE tell me how their performances as contemporaries of Joe Namath were the same... SAME ERA, DIFFERENT STATISTICS. Joe Namath had just TWO SEASONS out of 12 with a positive TD/INT ratio. You were going to lose this one trying to justify it by a difference of rules. I don't think you realize how old I am and how grounded in history I am.
