Whites to be minority by 2050
EasternOHBillsFan replied to uncle_chappy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I am disturbed by your premise that illegal immigrants bring a bulk of the crime to this country, which I just do not see. Our services are already burdened by the baby boomers who are in their retirement years and are siphoning off money. We MUST have a younger workforce to bolster our population, because we will be very senior-heavy in the next few decades. In fact, this wave may be a blessing in disguise. -
Mac question RE:external hard drive
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Pete's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm speaking from the perspective of an administrator and what we've had to deal with our mini towers' hard drives going bad and the aggravation we've experienced by having to have Dell come out and replace them all. It has been a nightmare. Most people don't invest in two HDs, and I never thought about giving that advice, only addressing the potential problem. -

Who is providing the work for them to remain in this country? Many of these same things were said of the Italians and Irish that poured into this country many, many years ago, and it did not ruin our country. This sort of thing happens from time to time, and now it just happens to be from non-European sources. There is little difference, and if you had lived in a major city in 1910 then you probably would have said the same thing, but a funny thing happened after- their descendants spoke English, grew productive, and added so much to our country. All of this race nonsense is an American invention, sought to frighten everyone. I'm not buying... -
Mac question RE:external hard drive

I would SCRAP the Seagate and get another brand... they have high failure rates that make me say 'pass' every single time. It is a well known problem in the IT community, so I thought I'd pass that on to potentially save you heartache and loss of all of your data in the future. One of the many examples of stories regarding Seagate -
So far, I haven't seen many negative responses, which is good. John Fox is a winner, but has been saddled with a quarterback who has cost him far too many games for him to be acceptable- he's had no real support behind him either at the position, which made it worse. Charlie Weis has produced a large amount of offensive production from Notre Dame in his tenure there, and he most certainly can be the answer to our offensive nightmare. This intriguing combination could very well be a huge step towards bringing the playoffs back to the Bills. However, the idea that Claussen could be our quarterback is extremely frightening- he is vastly overrated. Now I am hoping we do NOT have a pick to where we ould draft him if we do land him as OC. BTW, Jim Harbaugh is NOT leaving Stanford anytime soon.

Dislike the Incognito signing?

Different game with different rules... I'll take a couple of personal fouls over 10+ false starts and holding penalties that we get from other linemen. -
Happiest States Revealed by New Research
EasternOHBillsFan replied to erynthered's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Florida? Mississippi? Alabama? South Carolina? Who did this study, a Southern States Tourist Board?! Ohh, not them if they existed, but "Andrew Oswald of the University of Warwick in England",! "When human beings give you an answer on a numerical scale about how satisfied they are with their lives, it is best to pay attention. Their answers are reliable" Their results come from a comparison of two data sets of happiness levels in each state, one that relied on participants' self-reported well-being and the other an objective measure that took into account a state's weather, home prices and other factors that are known reasons to frown (or smile). Wow, what a study... based on an 'objective measure'. The WEATHER?!?! Home prices? Known reasons? Now it all makes sense... this study is, how you would say in the UK, a load of bollocks. -
When I saw that Incognito had been released, my first thought was that this Bills HAVE to pick up this guy. To cut someone outright like that was clearly based on frustration and by a team that is clearly far worse off than the Bills. When we picked him up off waivers, I immediately thought of one man- Conrad Dobler. When you have the opportunity to pick up a player like this when there is no continuity or much talent on the O-line, to do it is just awesome. If you don't know who Conrad Dobler is, ask around... read this article about what he's doing now, and what others said about him. A Dirty Shame

Considering that Reagan and Dubya account for well over 60% of the total deficit, Obama would have to be president for another 4 terms before approaching the numbers!!!

Where Have All the Lefties Gone?
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Chef Jim's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's why I don't even bother to engage in any debate- it is like banging your head against a brick wall and getting it all bloodied; quite pointless indeed. NOW they complain that everyone left... hmmm I wonder WHY? Who honestly wants to waste their time being insulted and be called all sorts of names just to provide a counter to a bevy of extremely slanted talking points from biased sources? Not me... and then they question if you are real? A laugh indeed. -
High Anxiety has to get an honorable mention- it really did an outstanding job of producing over-the-top Hitchcock parody. Classic scenes such as the vertigo in the hotel, Dick Van Patten being killed with an extremely loud radio, the ink down the drain, and the final tower scene. You just don't see it near as much on TV anymore, but I thoroughly enjoy watching it.

ATTN Al Gore
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Alaska_Darin_Is_Gay's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Man, let go of the Clinton administration... LOL We know- tough to believe in global warming when you're fat dumb and happy in a safe part of the world and receive the GOP mailers. Ohh well!! -
I don't know... he essentially took a team that was rebuilt from the ashes of the mid-1990's and won a Super Bowl.... he didn't inherit a team like Jim Caldwell or Mike Tomlin, so I completely disagree...

News regarding the San Diego Chargers

Where Have All the Lefties Gone?
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Chef Jim's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
When you finally get rid of Dumbo Dubya as your "leeder of duh free wurld", life is GOOD! Eight years of a non-Republican president allows people to truly enjoy these United States of America! Much like the Clinton administration, seeing right wingnuts B word and complain and stomp their feet like children always makes me laugh. A pure treat (No, not a typo- EIGHT years..."Willie Horton" Huckabee, "Loony" Sarah Palin and "Brigham Young" Romney are poor excuses for candidates, and we'll be a strong, fast economic locomotive before the election... LOL) -
Chad is great for professional football, and great for fans alike. He has put fun back into the NFL where it belongs, pays his fines, and moves on. He doesn't run his mouth like a lot of cocky athletes, the kind of ignorant jabber that you hear on occasion when the mic picks it up. He keeps it PG, which is great for kids who watch the games. To add, he is a great player in his own right who has been saddled with a bad team for the most part until this year and that one playoff year a few years ago. We need more Chad Johnson Ochocincos in this league, and less arrogant, holier-than-thou players.

Merry Christmas everyone
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Alaska_Darin_Is_Gay's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I hope they continue to do this just to see righty wing nuts get red-faced and have smoke pour out of their ears... everyone loves to see Palin-esque tantrums!!! -
Sherlock Holmes looks a LOT like Wild, Wild West... it will probably be an enormous flop, and lambasted everywhere for ruining another great franchise. When I saw the trailer, I wanted to reach through the TV and strangle the people involved in this movie- Sherlock Holmes in a 19th century UFC-style cage match?! Are you SERIOUS?!?! Morphine addicts don't go around acting like stuntmen. I hate you, Sherlock Holmes movie people.

Interested to find out your thoughts on this...
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
"the state had helped property owners by restoring their eroded beaches." Sorry, when you took that money, you voided your 'exclusivity'. Go repair your OWN beach if you want it to be private- we don't need to give out welfare to those who have more than enough money to hire their own workers. -
#3 Texas vs #22 Nebraska
EasternOHBillsFan replied to ProjectPat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WAIT a second... How come no one is going after the kickoff "specialist" for Nebraska?!! He kicked the ball OUT OF BOUNDS!!! How in the #!@# do you kick a ball out of bounds when all the other team has to do is kick a FG to win???? THAT is where they lost the game.... something very simple he blew.... his ONE JOB.
