Getting sick of this
EasternOHBillsFan replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. You don't have a running game if you don't attempt runs. 2. Jauron didn't build that secondary- Fewell's schemes built that secondary along with Jairus Byrd's stellar play. Today, Byrd has dissapeared off the radar and Fewell is gone. -
TOTAL BS. It is not the fault of the other teams in the NFL that the Bills have made horrible personnel decisions over the last decade and a half. We made our bed, and now we are lying in it. These excuses only perpetuate a lie- how else does New Orleans win the Super Bowl, with all of the money their market has?? COME ON, MAN!! We're paying for the sins of the past and present... point the finger at our team, not others!!!!

Buffalo Bills=Pittsburgh Pirates
EasternOHBillsFan replied to RyanC883's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I AM in this boat too!!! I thought I was the only 2 laughingstock franchise fan out there! The Bills can't be considered to be like the Pirates for these reasons: 1. No matter how bad the people that come in do, Ralph Wilson cares about wins and losses, unlike Nutting. 2. The city of Buffalo is dependent upon the Bills, while the Pirates are just an afterthought these days in Pittsburgh. 3. The Bills are willing to sign quality free agents to supplement what little young talent we have, unlike the Pirates. Comparing the Bills to the Pirates isn't fair... being a Pirates fan is THE worst fan experience in the game- little veteran talent, won't sign young talent that develops and would rather ship them off, owner takes the revenue sharing money and pockets it, contract extension for a horrible manager, no salary cap. I AM in the pit of despair if you add my New York Knicks. ALL I HAVE IS THE BUFFALO SABRES out of FOUR sports!!! So there you are... and guess what? I'm STILL a fan of ALL FOUR... I haven't quit. -
[please fix subject]CJ Spiller
EasternOHBillsFan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NO, if you remember our FIRST game against the Dolphins, he did the same THING. Hence, he tried him again, and he failed again, and so he's not the starter as a normal RB. Man, I didn't think it would be hard to comprehend. -
[please fix subject]CJ Spiller
EasternOHBillsFan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did you not watch the passing play in the first half where the Jets called a blitz, and Spiller totally missed his pickup? After that play, Marshawn was back in at RB lined up behind Fitz. THAT is why- he just is not a very good blocker when we need a blocking RB to provide protection. ANSWERED! -
What position would you draft...
EasternOHBillsFan replied to FightinIrishBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OL QB OL OL OL LB OL (Do you see the theme here? keep drafting offensive linemen until we get some that can play) -
Who’s the worst sports journalist?

Jim Rome and Rick Reilly in a tie. Both are smug, arrogant, and full of themselves. -

This is a move by conservatives... you know, the bottom line, squash any forms of protest or creativity that doesn't conform...!! This guy is probably loaded and driving a custom Mercedes and has a large portfolio, since the decision rests with him, put 2 and 2 together better than THAT. -
GCobb.com: "Now that the Eagles have shuffled their roster to get younger, the move for Peters looks to make little sense. They could’ve drafted Michael Oher (who’s starting for the highly favored Baltimore Ravens) which would’ve been a longer term deal. It also would’ve made more financial sense. I don’t think an offensive line anchored by Jason Peters is going to earn any quarterback’s full trust. Because of that, as long as Peters is an Eagle we’ll never get to give a fair assessment on Kolb whether it’s good or bad." My link

Official Trent Edward Haters Sign Up Page
EasternOHBillsFan replied to BobDVA's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Makes Billy Joe Hobert look like a real NFL quarterback.... *FLUSH* Horrible passing game = 8, 9 men in the box = fully clogged running lanes Who is to blame for this fiasco? Edwards! By the way, I do believe Roscoe Parrish scored the TD. -
Don't you DARE leave off Trent Edwards, Mr. Keep the Defense in "9 Men In The Box".

Paul Posluszny, from Conlan-esque to bust
EasternOHBillsFan replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In college, he most certainly was- that's what I was referring to... to clarify -
I can't believe that a Penn State LB who was an unheralded as Paul Posluszny cannot stay on the field, and when he does, he is mediocre. This is especially painful for me to admit because I was very excited when we drafted him, and expected quite a lot from him since we hadn't had a talent like him at LB since Conlan and Bennett. What are the thoughts of those here at TBD regarding Posluszny? Whether or not he is out for a significant period of time is inconsequential- for a career, to me he's been a bust.

The whole two party system in a media happy modern society has come to this, and it is an utter joke. The substantial increase of executive power that was ramped up under the administrations of FDR, Nixon, Reagan, and Bush has now plopped into Obama's lap and you are right- he has done little to stop it, and I'm a Democrat. We are faced with two choices, either Obama again (which I am VERY unhappy with him- see offshore drilling lift, slamming Arizona's immigration law, out of control spending through the poor Democratic leadership) or the uber conservative, ugly Republican candidate which will basically never reduce the deficit and cut spending while giving out tax breaks like candy. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and has gone on for far too long. I am appalled at the total lack of choices we have today, and where we are heading as a society. We should NEVER be allowed to have to choose between two extremes and call it democracy... revolting.

All you will get is vitriol and a possible aneurysm, for a leopard never changes his spots. If you ever play online on Xbox Live, it is a lot like playing a game of Modern Warfare 2 against a bunch of trash talking kids who never shut up... debate is useless and the only options are either mute or don't play at all.
-
Don't bother arguing with ranting extreme conservatives- you can't win, because their propensity for personal attacks can only be answered with the same, and it just isn't worth it. That's why I largely ignore this entire part of TBD- it is a microcosm of what is wrong with politics today, and why we continue to elect the same representatives and have the same problems in this country. Extremists have taken over the debate and are running us into the ground.

Should we be concerned that Maybin is a bust?
EasternOHBillsFan replied to first_and_ten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know you just didn't say that Maybin would be bad if he turned out to be Derrick Thomas! Wow....! -
I saw the posts, and it was what I thought precipitated his departure. Is that so?

She overreacted after Tim Graham overreacted, and the end result doesn't surprise me. It is not like having a phone or being confronted in person- they are words that can easily be ignored but are chosen not to be. I read the 'infamous posts', and they were not as bad as you make them out to be- i.e. the very worst of fan responses akin to a Philly fan. She was very upset that he left, and evidently couldn't cope with him not being here. That's not an issue with TBD posters; that is an issue she has to deal with. Also, I mentioned before that if there was truly an effort to make him feel totally comfortable, then the rules should have been strictly enforced, but they were not, and people were still allowed to post there. I know I'm going to get blasted from some, but as a party not involved in this I could see this maelstrom for what it was.

Whatifsports computer predictions for 2010 season
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Damian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The COLTS will finish 9-7 and not make the playoffs? OK, someone over there got their numbers all jacked up... laughable. -
Yes, but where is the line drawn? When you draw a line in a Code of Conduct on a board and says that these items are suspendable or bannable offenses and then fail to act because the poster has been on a board for years, or is usually a good guy, or writes articles, or X, then that sets a precedence. I GUARANTEE that if the COC was enforced fairly and expediently, then people would tone it down so there WOULD be no overreaction or reaction to a classless post.
