  1. Please provide examples of players that we let go or left for another team that were REALLY GOOD or GREAT at the peak of their career. This list is a very short one, and so I can't believe this statement. Pat Williams and Jim Leonhard are my top two big mistakes, period. Clements was overpaid IMO...
  2. You over value the LB position with the stronger D-line we now have. Poz doesn't have to do nearly as much with upgrades. All of his liabilities deal with the injuries he continues to sustain.
  3. I agree, and I don't think he deserves to be on the Wall because he chose to alienate himself from so many people and it wasn't just Ralph Wilson he had problems with. I wish the other problems wouldn't be overlooked just because of Ralph.
  4. I just got it today, so if you want to get in on the online dynasty, my XBox name is XDoctor NoX, just like it is typed. Awesome!
  5. He's probably on some bad hooch and was shuffling his tootsies last night, out of his head... swell comeback!
  6. Maybe if they would quit contracting out a lot of the work to civilian bureaucrats and let the military run the show, we wouldn't have to shell out billions to prop up worthless GS workers and others who make a living sitting at a desk asking others what the right answers are.
  7. Throw Leon Seals and Dusty Ziegler in there as well...
  8. No guts = making a smart move by removing a dictator without ground troops and spending little Big guts = making a dumb move by removing a dictator with hundreds of thousands of troops and staying for 10 years while spending us into massive debt BRILLIANT! Please...
  9. The French are now in full scale warrior mode, and now finally the morons can each french fries, drink French wines, and eat French cheese without going batshit. Where's my cognac? I'm not just pissed at him for that, but for opening up Atlantic drilling offshore, not lifting the Cuban embargo, and free spending into oblivion like the Democrats were accused of before Clinton. He's damn lucky the GOP has no viable candidate and scorns Donald Trump, or he'd lose. War or no war, as a progressive he has made me angry on several occasions.
  10. ...and so Trotter have the players as sources for this story. Does anyone else other than a player come forward with an account? Didn't think so- sounds like a perfect story to me
  11. Bad management, not INTENTIONALLY 'bad' management.
  12. No, it is not misplaced, because the players in the past signed deals to play football and they knew the risks involved.... the NFL didn't HAVE to help, but they chose to after a successful lobby and ponied up the money. The players act as if they were oblivious to the risks, but when you are young you tend to think of yourself as invincible. They signed the dotted line and accepted the deals, no questions asked, and played. After that, suddenly $80 million is 'peanuts'? Give me a break! The owners have to engage in revenue sharing to keep the league balanced and thriving, and teams don't fake it like the Pirates or Marlins in MLB. The greed is on the shoulders of the players, who want more and more while the percentage of players that are guilty of misconduct rises and rises. Unions have been increasingly irrelevant, and only have power through the courts. This was NEVER about taking care of veterans' health issues... it is about pure greed, because even if the NFL offered $800 million to health care, they STILL would decertify! Demaurice Smith is an absolute joke... just like Donald Fehr before him with the MLBPA.
  13. I am 100% behind the owners in this one- they have lived up to their end by trying to guarantee veterans who have been injured are taken care of, and yet all of this comes down to money according to the union. The union went through this charade just to force the NFL into opening their books, as if they are investors or from the SEC. I am sick to death of players wanting millions of dollars a year in contracts, only to bilk owners out of their money later by engaging in off the field conduct and forcing them to recoup the money they paid out. More and more players are doing this, and even the ones who don't get into trouble are getting more and more lucrative contracts. To summarize, screw the trade union of the NFLPA under Demaurice Smith and their greed. The current system keeps ALL NFL franchises above water and enables the players to make all the money they do. When the NFL reached out and supported the veterans with regards to health care, that to me was the final move the owners had to make. Now, Mr. Smith, you and your lawyers have ruined a perfectly good situation.
  14. While millions of Americans die due to the effects of cancer and other wretched diseases, some of the most intelligent minds in America are writing algorithms for computers intended to replace human beings, passing tests on Jeopardy. I am most certainly NOT amused... no wonder we've lost our edge to other developed countries.
  15. The Bills are using Motorola? huh? I say we first learn how to use Webster's before trying to find a new MOTTO.
  16. Jefferson and Coates... the game in which Ralph went ballistic and I went ballistic. To this day, that is the worst NFL hack job I have ever seen, and it is only is surpassed by Hull's NO GOAL and the backward-that-was-forward pass by Wycheck. Does anyone else recall also that in that season, they gave the Jests a touchdown because the official admitted he thought their helmet was a football? #!@#@!#!@ I hate Walt Coleman for not owning up to his mistake, A BIG PART of being a leader, you #!@#!#.
  17. I'm a historian who has been tortured by literary academia for years and years- upon discovering Chicago, I have never looked back and scoff at English professors
  18. MLA and APA SUCK! Turabian/Chicago is THE best format to cite sources- who wants to read a great paper, only to have the flow of the composition ruined by authors and page numbers in parentheses? With Turabian, you get nice reference numbers in superscript that lead you directly to the source without cluttering the paper with a neverending set of (Author, 111)s!!!! My .02!
  19. Another, fine: Rex Grossman (29 score, 30 starts, 61% completion) This is too easy.
  20. Matt Leinart PASSES all three of these tests, and yet he is an NFL bust, right? (35 score, 38 starts, 64.5% completion) Sorry, but I don't buy it.
  21. What is up with these stupid animated puppet-like people? That's one with Eminem and another with some guy and a phone... blecch.
  22. Doritos #2 with the cheese fingers/chip crumbs on pants was disgusting and not hilarious. Chevy is by far the worst advertiser so far. BMW commercial was boring. Motorola with the 1984 creepy office- you're NOT Apple!!! All of the other commercials have been pretty good or better- maybe because they are so damn expensive?
  23. What sucks is leaking @!%#ing announcements before they are made... absolute crap,
  24. HE MADE IT TO THE TEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONLY WR left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No TIM BROWN NO CRIS CARTER This looks like the year! OMG I will be there in August... like I was for Thurman in 2007. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
