  1. Therein lies the problem. Lou Saban not being on there, well I can see it because he had always been a wayward soul and he had problems like Cookie did with sticking with things. McKenzie, however, is a well respected member of the Buffalo Bills family and deserves the honor. I just don't understand it- no disrespect to Hansen, but it is discouraging. The old players have to be remembered before it is too late.
  2. Strongly disagree. Lock him up, and make him our man. He could very well be the Jack Kemp of our generation, someone we can build around. He may not be flashy, fleet of foot, have a Jeff George arm, but he sure as hell knows how to play the position well. Thread of reference: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/134749-fitzpatricks-last-16-games/ Could you imagine him with even BETTER talent, and what he could do? I shudder to think...
  3. I'm sorry, but until Reggie McKenzie goes up on the wall, Phil Hansen should have to wait. Fred Smerlas is up there, for Gods sake. Do the right thing, and put him on the wall- ever heard of 2003? This is awful... and this wrong should be righted. http://www.collegefootball.org/famer_selected.php?id=70076
  4. Have at it! I will enjoy the results! My choice is The Amish Rifle.
  5. I did that when we drafted Leodis McKelvin.
  6. I don't have a fancy video, but the greatest defensive game I have EVER seen the Bills play occurred in 1999 on Monday Night Football: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/news/1999/10/04/buffalobills_dolphins_ap/
  7. Beating the Cowboys, Giants, and Redskins in 1993. Beating the Cowboys in Texas Stadium 13-10, rendering them 0-2 after Jerry Jones refused to bow to Emmitt Smith's contract demands was one of the greatest moments I have ever witnessed. The face he made right after (the b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b mouth thingy) is forever etched in my mind! http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199309120dal.htm
  8. Only if you do it for charity if the Bills end up being bad. Man, after one week some people here have lost their minds...
  9. I try to rarely go there... it scares me, to be honest. A lot of bad things being said these days, like it was the 1920's.
  10. You can't find a bad seat in the house. I am jealous- I haven't been to a home Bills game in 12 years- all of my Bills games are on the road, but I'm hoping to get to Buffalo this season as I'm finally not deployed overseas of out to sea. When I was there in 1999, I got to tailgate with Andre Reed and Jonathan Linton, the Bills won the game, and I got to heckle Keyshawn Johnson and Bill Parcells in the lot as they got on the bus. I didn't encounter any drunk Jests fans, which was cool. You WILL enjoy yourself...
  11. So if Mike Grier showed up on their doorstep, they would call 911 and/or shoot? That's what you are REALLY saying by this, right??? POOR taste.
  12. This was the worst trade in Buffalo Bills history, and only the Ron McDole trade rivals it. It not only gave us two players that contributed little to the franchise, but it took AWAY a quarterback which could have been the cornerstone of our offense. I may not have been alive during this time, but what happened after precipitated a decade of utter futility.
  13. LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!! I cannot wait for the NHL season to start- I have my NHL Center Ice already purchased. I cannot help you don't like Sabres hockey AND Bills football
  14. Monday Night Football against the Steelers in Pittsburgh, when you knew that Jim Kelly was done as a QB- threw a horrid INT to Greg Lloyd just before the half. ^^^^ THIS. The game from hell that cost us a home playoff game. I still steam about that game.... not a low point, but whatever. From Wikipedia: "The NFL later stated that the game-extending pass interference call was an erroneous decision by the referees."
  15. Yeah, Amukamara WAS weird, and he felt out of place as opposed to the rest of those featured. He had this Greeny kind of quality about him, like he's intense in certain situations, but for the most part a bit of a flake.
  16. MIKE WILLIAMS is a wasted draft pick. AARON MAYBIN is a wasted draft pick. Marcus Easley's situation is very unfortunate. HUGE difference.
  17. It worked in Week 1...! Bills 17 Raiders 14
  18. I dunno... he's been on the cliff for a while... http://www.thephinsider.com/2011/6/9/2214762/keep-or-cut-miami-dolphins-benny-sapp
  19. That is NOT funny... my soon-to-be father in law has lupus, and probably my fiancee- she goes in for testing next week because of chronic liver damage test.
  20. It is up to the players on whether or not they perceive the organization as being fair and equitable. One benefit we enjoy is the stability at the coaching position, and this is a big positive. It could be that the Bills know they are comfortable with this, but what happened with Fred Jackson this summer was a step back, and we cannot afford any perception that we have no respect for our good players.
  21. This is a risk/reward business, and frankly speaking, the risk of losing millions of dollars and the possibility of Fitzpatrick or Johnson moving to another team is far greater a risk than extending them and paying out a reasonably, cap-friendly contract to someone who MIGHT turn out to be average or worse down the road. I'm not talking about Snyder contracts here, but ones that we can manage if the results are negative.
  22. Kansas City's defense is not Dallas's defense, so let us wait and see how they both fare against the same competition... then we can talk.
  23. You just don't get it, do you? All along he's been saying that our inability to help out who we have COMBINED with not paying guys like Fitz or Stevie points directly to a cheap organization. If there is a plan to pay them, then you had better do it, because frankly as each week passes their value INCREASES over time and we have to pay more and more to get them. NFL teams are by no means stupid- they can see when a 7-9 or 6-10 Bills team has stars on it they can pluck from us, and we can avoid all of this RIGHT FREAKIN NOW by extending them!!!!! I am a PIRATES fan, I have seen this act time and time again- our young players are playing outstanding football, but it is never enough to get to .500, the playoffs and beyond. If you have a cheap organization or a mismanaged one, the end result is you win nothing.
