Hobert yeah, that was a RIDICULOUS admission to make... made it so easy to give him the boot then!!! Not as bad as what Dusty Ziegler pulled though... if you have a deal and you back out of it, your word means NOTHING. I rooted hard against him after that one when he went to the Giants. The stories about Rauch and his methods and abrasive attitude are legendary. Had we held onto Daryle and gotten a coach worthy of the job we might have had something cooking.

Caleb Williams is off to a rough rookie start
EasternOHBillsFan replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
He doesn't seem like a good kid with his attitude... his raw emotion and dependence on parents takes me back to a player like Jeff George. He had incredible talent but he just could never control himself enough to be a star in the league. You have to have ice in your veins and a strong back to throw off the frustration away and he has neither. I am just not buying this guy at ALL. -

Player is too easy... Cole Beasley. I simply cannot stand to have a whole bunch of BS bleed over into my football, worse than the Taylor Swift nonsense. Hard to have a unified locker room on gamedays when someone is out creating so many distractions. I love it for the Jets, hate it for the Bills. Coach is Doug Marrone... if you want to just quit on a team that quickly, just go ahead and retire and find another profession. There is no room in the NFL for a quitter unless you're a desperate team trying to find a way out of hell. Never seen a more arrogant and selfish coach for the Bills in my life!

He was drafted by an organization known for being a toilet for QB prospects... all of them get flushed. Justin Fields had everything he needed until he got to the Bears. -
THREE, actually. 1A. BRUCE SMITH CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT, Virginia Beach, 2001. I don't play golf, but I decided to go that year and as a Navy sailor stationed at the base there in Virginia Beach it was close to my house. I walked into the club bar and I can still see them all there in my head... Richard Roundtree (SHAFT!) in this cool leather jacket smoking a stogie, Darryl Talley, Bruce Smith, Junior Seau and Thurman Thomas talking to some Hawaiian Tropic girls. I had my copy of RELENTLESS with me and they autographed it for me but the BEST part was when Thurman bought me a beer! I don't even drink but I accepted that Bud though!!! 1B. HOME GAME, Sunday Night Football, Jets vs. Bills, September 19th, 1999. I tailgated that afternoon with Leonard Smith, Jonathan Linton and Andre Reed. I actually painted my face red and blue, wore a hard hat with a Starting Lineup Andre Reed on it and a Bills flag as a cape. I ran into RALPH of all people coming out of the stands and into the concourse and he was so excited and happy and I got to speak to him for a couple of glorious seconds! Seeing Bill Parcells so angry on the bus after with Keyshawn Johnson pouting was the icing on the cake. 1C. MARV? WHAAAAT? City Sidewalk, near Buckingham Fountain, Chicago, IL. I was walking down the sidewalk in Chicago and I stopped at a light and BAM, there was MARV LEVY in a track suit!!! I was in so much shock but it quickly dissipated as we started talking. It's one of those amazing twists of fortune and I am forever grateful to have met him and in Chicago no less, his home.

So they replaced a professional sports lineup with bar room level sports talk lineup. Two different levels of sports entertainment from the same network. Sorry, but you are wrong, and you proved my point perfectly.

Dewayne Carter involved lawsuit against NCAA to pay players.
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Whkfc's topic in The Stadium Wall
Good!!! That's America in a nutshell, capitalism at work. The demand for services for a quarterback like Josh should fetch a high amount and interest from the best schools. Once NCAA coaches started making millions and started this whole pay-for-play then it was only right that the players got the same rights to do the same. Nobody ever complained before when coaches from smaller schools took huge paydays to coach at big schools! -
Entertainment varies from the Broadway theater to three card monte on the street, so the definition of entertainment varies. Rich Eisen, Stuart Scott, Chris Berman and Tom Jackson were all consummate professionals in the same industry, now replaced by people like Stephen A. and Pat McAfee, so yeah, I know the difference.

Sports media is now for hype, loud voices, drama, and foolishness. The days of the professional are over.

After going through painful seasons with Gabe Davis costing us games with his lack of precision, it is obvious athleticism isn't enough, especially when you sign a small one year deal after just coming off a Super Bowl winning team. If we wanted speed we would have drafted Worthy, but clearly the Chiefs are just throwing darts drafting the best athlete instead of the best choice.

It's been a lot longer than that, because Bills fans have been supplementing their attendance figures for decades now whenever we play them. They never have been diehard fans, even when Shula and Marino were there. I'm almost 51.

My favorite name for them is the whine and cheese crowd... they have never been a serious football fan base. Lamar did win a second MVP last season as well, so he must be better than Josh. CLEARLY. 🙃
-
I felt that way about Flutie back in the day... sure he comes up every once in a while, but thankfully Josh came along.

That's definitely not true... I don't and I refuse to unless dementia starts kicking in. That's my choice and I am not opposed to legalization at all because most everyone knows that alcohol is far worse than weed in this country.

What Bills road trips are you doing this year?
EasternOHBillsFan replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills at Steelers, Week 2 preseason at Acrisure Heinz Field. -
He's still dead, and the Goldmans will still get the money they deserve. It's over, thankfully. Done. Finished.
