Hate is all around us, like a cloud, and it is not going away, ever- it is human nature to hate people for reasons that for a logical mind seem to be illogical. We cannot come together to combat it unless the exclusive labels go bye bye.

That's what I am trying to say! You can't be accepted if you are trying to declare that you are worthy of exclusive recognition based on X... I certainly don't care who anyone is, but I mean when does this all end, and we just become Americans?

When we begin to point out assaults and other heinous crimes against various groups, we divide America. Then, the focus on the actual crimes is LOST because we are too busy trying to forge identities and expressing pride instead of solving the overall problem that some people out there are criminals and are inherently bad. So now we have Gay Pride, Black Pride, Latino Pride, Fat Pride, Short Pride, Bald Pride, Old Pride..... it sounds utterly RIDICULOUS.

So now because there are physical assaults on homosexuals, that this justifies "Gay Pride"? Assaults aren't exclusive to homosexuals, and it isn't a justifiable reason to claim exclusivity. Assault under the law is still assault, whether or not you are gay, straight, black, white, disabled, etc. The claim of exclusivity just divides America even further.

Straight people get attacked by religious people all the time for being too revealing, unmarried couples, abortions, sex in the media... everyone gets attacked for something, but it doesn't mean we're going to go around having Straight Pride Day. Victimization has gone TOO far in the USA as it is, especially in the legislative arena.

A dose of reality- When Vince Young uttered the words "dream team", that is all it took to start an avalanche of coverage on the Eagles and with every loss it became more magnified. Anything C.J. Spiller says won't be seen in that light because Buffalo is a small market team, but if he had said that in a major city, he would have caused a stir. Rhetoric is for teams that have never won anything, and frankly we don't need it right now- we need PRODUCTION.

No other city offers the perfect storm of sports, food, and Canada right next door!!!!! What is Detroit famous for anyways food wise, what you find in a trash can?

So, even though I love classic movies and think finding the year for movies is impossible (and I can't agree with 1939 as I didn't like Gone With The Wind or Stagecoach or the boring Wuthering Heights), I long for nostalgia and the year 1985: Back to the Future Rambo: First Blood Part II Rocky IV (A personal Rocky favorite, a great reflection of the times) The Color Purple Cocoon Witness The Goonies (Can't forget this boyhood gem) Spies Like Us (a true FORGOTTEN classic that is my favorite Aykroyd film after Blues Brothers) A View to a Kill European Vacation (So much fun despite knocks by critics) Fletch Pale Rider Brewster's Millions (Too much fun watching him spend the money) The Breakfast Club St. Elmo's Fire Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome Prizzi's Honor The Black Cauldron The Falcon and the Snowman Weird Science (Kelly Lebrock.... OMFG) Real Genius (You will never look at popcorn the same again) Clue (One of the most creative comedies of all time with different endings) Red Heat Death Wish 3 (not rated high but if you include Mr. Majestyk in a list then by GOLLY I'm including this movie!)

I REALLY liked a majority of those... however... Packers- really weak and hard to see. 49ers- the 49 just looks too obscure. Chiefs- the worst one... do NOT like the KC. Colts- turn the horseshoe upright! LOL

You should watch the Henry Hill documentary they had on the National Geographic Channel... it was great!! The movie was very true to his life which is rare, but the actor who played Henry Hill was pretty darn good. I'm bucking the trend and going with Seattle... Russell Wilson is a gem of a QB who will succeed, and they already got a taste of the Super Bowl once, unlike the Lions or Texans, neither of which do anything in the playoffs.

Pittsburgh has to travel to Denver Week 1, then home vs. the Jests, then BACK to the West Coast at Oakland. THAT is far worse than what I saw- at least our West Coast games are back to back. As far as the Patriots* thing, NO EXCUSES ACCEPTED, NONE GIVEN. In order to be the best you have to beat the best- I consider it to be a playoff game mentality when we travel to NE.
