  1. It is a massive regret that I never got to see David Clayton Thomas live, as he is now retired from the business. I must have worn out my mother's BST record and then my cassettes listening to the full tracks, because the radio edits cut out some of the songs' length. I played trombone for 10 years in school, and I still remember to this day what it was like to be right in front of the stage when Chicago's James Pankow did his thing in the solo at the end of Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is? in 1989... there just aren't that many left from this era still performing, but that's one group that still has IT! You made my day reading this, and I so thank you!!! RIP Bill Chase and the other gone too soon.
  2. Northeastern Ohio SUCKS.... don't ever move to this state. I get one GO BILLS a year...
  3. I'll take Swift over Bass at this point... not for kicking, just for viewing. I don't want to see any more missed crucial kicks in the postseason...
  4. It works both ways... women don't play in the NFL, so naturally you wouldn't see the opposite scenario. It's a marriage- support, communal property, joint debt. I think what you are looking for is a prenup and not a system run amok.
  5. If you experienced Scott Norwood's last season, then you know this is an eerily similar trajectory. Sorry, but in this instance I am very concerned.
  6. He was acting like a jerk, to be fair... nobody "chased him away" because if you're an AP reporter you just don't pack up your toys and go home because somebody said something you didn't like.
  7. It's very possible... families often have collateral lines from areas, which means because families associated with one another, they married into each others families. Mine comes from Linsley (also Lindley) and Barnes, and a couple of generations later Barnes and Clapp.
  8. I've been doing genealogy for over 30 years now and I have never thought about posting here until now, but here goes. If anyone is curious about where their family comes from, let me know in a PM. I have done much work with UK, Irish, Scandinavian, French, German, Italian and Canadian records and have uncovered some really interesting stories for some I have helped. My genealogy is approximately 40% French Canadian, 40% UK/Irish/German and 20% Scandinavian. DNA has already solved two major family mysteries which could not have been resolved through records.
  9. I discovered this a couple of months ago... what a great track! As Jim Croce did a year earlier, Bill Chase died in a plane crash in 1974. CHASE - GET IT ON (1971)
  10. I do it to be very sarcastic in a Jersey Shore voice like "whatevuh, bro" or "yeah, bro" for comedic effect sometimes, but not that often 😁
  11. ACR... A/C and refrigeration FOR SURE, because it allows our food to be stored safely and comfort.
  12. Corey Linsley and Will Clapp... Linsley and Clapp both have an extensive history in early New England.
  13. For us older folks, these was the card that celebrated that game! 1990 NFL Pro Set #326!
  14. A. Same for the Bills games at the new stadium. You can't sit and watch the Bills play up close anywhere else. That's the way it is. B. Congress will NEVER, EVER, EVER pass legislation to fight this. C. The Supreme Court would NEVER, EVER, EVER side with the defendants... corporations will win a vast majority of the time. This lawsuit won't hurt the NFL... it too popular of a product involving way, way too much profit.
  15. Reading this is COMPLETELY bizarre as I am related to both as distant cousins in New England through my mother's side. I have been researching my ancestry for 30 years now and it's mind boggling how families are linked together.
  16. I'll laugh for now, but if it is another 1990-1991 Norwood debacle then I will agree. Mentally he cannot go into the tank like poor Scotty did.
  17. TUA'S FAMILY IS GONNA BE PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is awesome... what a bonehead move. Tua may hold out now if his family presses things.
  18. Did I say BILLS FANS? NO. I said terrible people, as in the WORLD. Geez
  19. ESPN having their own gambling company is in itself EXTREMELY problematic... if you have a company hyping up players, gaining access to said players because of their role in sports as broadcasters, THAT is a massive problem. The "if it's not illegal, then do it" culture is pervasive these days.
  20. The terrible people are now out in the open and their numbers are increasing... sad but true.
  21. PIPE DOWN, Bill with TWO Ls... this is Bill with THREE Ls time to shine, buddy. The KC turds accumulating in the toilet won't polish themselves!
  22. Well, when you get stuck with ones like JW, Sully or Graham, it's tough to find good ones.
  23. 1. He wasn't an ideal teammate... you seriously need to read some articles from that period before you write revisionist history. 2. Did the Bills have any of those as active players from 1987 to 2024? 3. The question wasn't about trends, FYI. 4. It was the sum total (see "arrogant and selfish coach", the part you glossed over as a part of your agenda), and once again you seem to completely ignore events over that time to harp on the very end as if it never happened.
  24. Maybe you missed it, but a Chiefs rookie WR just had 8 felonies, six for collision involving bodily injury, one of collision involving serious bodily injury, and one of aggravated assault charged against him for running an exotic car race on a busy highway, setting the all time record for most felony charges by an active NFL player.
  25. Can we LOCK THIS THREAD for posterity?!?! I can't wait to see how many of these instant reactions are hammered later
